Merging with Demon Spirits

Chapter 56: Chapter 50: Endorsement Collaboration

Amidst all the doubts and discussions, Lin Feng and his two companions walked out of the Thunder Martial Arts Dojo.

Not far from the entrance, there were some gamblers who had lost and were now glaring at him fiercely, with quite a few even cursing at him, but they all rationally refrained from making the first move.

These gamblers were mostly ordinary people, with even a Ninth Rank Body Cultivator being rare among them, while Lin Feng could easily beat up Martial Artists; weren’t they just asking for trouble?

Although Lin Feng’s match attracted many Martial Artists, and some did place bets, to a Martial Artist, tens of thousands of dollars meant nothing, it was just for fun. Losing didn’t hurt them, so naturally, they didn’t bother him.

Moreover, Martial Artists knew that Lin Feng’s martial arts talent was outstanding. Even if he couldn’t become a Demon Spirit Master, he wasn’t someone an average Martial Artist could compare to.

No one would easily make an enemy out of themselves.

”Brother Feng, coming again tomorrow?” Gao Hai asked, seeing the unfriendly crowd around them.

”Of course, I’ll keep fighting until they’re convinced.”

Lin Feng really didn’t believe that after a month of daily flashy victories over Martial Artists, he couldn’t attract any advertising slots. At most, he could lower the price; as long as he could get five million, he’d accept it.

”I’ll go back and stir up some buzz on the Martial Artist forum,” Yang Fan comforted.

Lin Feng nodded and said, ”Mhm, we’ll talk more when we get back.”

He planned to release his Thirty-Six Body Refining Techniques on the forum, by then the buzz would only increase instead of decrease.

”Brother Feng, heading home?”

Gao Hai asked, it was already past four o’clock, and it would take two hours to return to the Shore District, just in time for dinner.

”We...”

Just as Lin Feng was about to answer, a man in a white shirt and black trousers suddenly appeared in front of him, holding a silver phone and starting to interview directly.

”Student Lin Feng, may I ask why you’re making this fuss, is it only for an advertising slot?”

The male reporter asked. Seeing Lin Feng’s cold expression and lack of response, he didn’t mind and continued to ask on his own, ”With the college entrance exam approaching, is this commotion to catch the attention of the Nine Elite Joint Schools?”

Although it was an interview, the reporter’s attitude was clearly unfriendly, starting the interview without Lin Feng’s consent and asking questions pointing in a negative direction.

”Do you really think you’re comparable to Ye Qiu?”

”What’s it to you?”

Gao Hai stood in front of Lin Feng and pushed the reporter away directly.

”Don’t push me. Lin Feng, do you really think someone would pay a hefty price for your advertisement?”

Although blocked, the male reporter kept questioning, as if he didn’t care whether Lin Feng responded, and continued, ”There are no fools in this world...”

”Ah!”

Just as he uttered the word ’fools,’ the reporter cried out sharply, witnessing a chubby man appear before him, smacking him on the head forcefully, and yelling, ”Who are you calling a fool?”

”I meant those selling advertisements are fools. I didn’t mean you.” The angry male reporter retorted.

The chubby man reached out to hit again, making the reporter dodge in fright.

”I’m the one wanting to buy an ad slot. If not me, then who?” The chubby man was Zhou Fu, and he menaced the reporter.

The male reporter, originally ready to argue, suddenly looked constipated and dared not say more.

He really didn’t expect someone would indeed purchase Lin Feng’s ad slot.

Lin Feng wasn’t some big celebrity, but he’d been gaining quite the buzz, making him a public figure, and public figures generally wouldn’t trouble reporters, let alone get physical, as that would invite all journalists’ criticism, which was why the reporter dared to be so arrogant.

But it was clear that the plump, business-like middle-aged man before him was not a public figure; hitting him would be for nothing.

At this moment, Lin Feng and his two companions also curiously looked at this middle-aged man.

”Student Lin Feng, let me introduce myself, I’m Zhou Fu, and I’d like to invite you to endorse my restaurant.” Zhou Fu got straight to the point.

”18 million.”

Lin Feng offered a price, and just when he thought the other party would leave immediately upon hearing it, the other merely frowned slightly but didn’t walk away.

”It’s higher than I anticipated; can we discuss it?”

People with a plump figure naturally exuded an amiable vibe, and seeing the other not seeming to joke, with a sincere attitude, Lin Feng naturally agreed, ”Sure!”

”It’s near dinner time, let’s head to my restaurant directly, and have dinner while we’re at it.” Zhou Fu suggested.

Lin Feng shook his head, ”Dining isn’t necessary; let’s walk and talk instead.”

If negotiations broke down, dining would be awkward.

”That works too.” Zhou Fu didn’t mind.

Gao Hai and Yang Fan exchanged a glance, sensibly trailing behind the two.

”Student Lin Feng, may I ask why you haven’t signed with the three major clubs?”

Zhou Fu asked while sizing Lin Feng up.

The young man was tall, handsome, neither too fat nor thin, with a physique as sleek as a cheetah, seemingly cold but exuding a stern aura, indeed very attractive to girls, his appearance was definitely qualified as a spokesperson.

Lin Feng’s martial arts talent was extraordinary. As long as he didn’t falter, the likelihood of becoming an Advanced Martial Artist was high.

Although he was unsure if Lin Feng could become a Demon Spirit Master or what level of Demon Spirit he could refine, he wanted to take the gamble.

”As I said before, it’s just that there isn’t a suitable Demon Spirit.” Lin Feng responded calmly, offering the same explanation.

Not even satisfied with Earth Chart Demon Spirits?

Why is your heart so big?

Zhou Fu thought secretly. This reason, naturally, couldn’t satisfy him, but he didn’t voice his doubts directly.

In truth, Zhou Fu understood that if Lin Feng really signed with the three major clubs, after signing, all his endorsements and commercial activities would be managed by the club, disallowing personal ad endorsements.

By then, Zhou Fu clearly wouldn’t have the qualifications to ask Lin Feng to endorse, and he couldn’t afford the high endorsement fee.

He is now betting on Lin Feng’s future.

”18 million is possible, but it has to be a lifetime endorsement.” Zhou Fu had no intention of bargaining, but he offered another condition.

Since he is betting on Lin Feng’s future, as a businessman, he naturally wants to maximize the benefits.

Lin Feng’s heart skipped a beat. He suppressed his excitement, remained silent for a while, and said, ”Alright.”

Lin Feng understood Zhou Fu’s plan.

Right now, his value certainly doesn’t reach such a high endorsement fee.

But three years later, when he stands out in the national college league, his endorsement fee will easily be tens of millions, just for one year. It’s imaginable that a lifetime endorsement would be worth at least one or two billion, or even tens of billions in New Coin.

One could say Zhou Fu hit the jackpot!

million in exchange for billions in return.

But since Zhou Fu has the courage to gamble, Lin Feng, who is short of money, naturally wouldn’t disagree.

For him, this money is life-saving money.

The sooner he gets it, the sooner he can refine the Nightmare.

Once the Nightmare is refined, would money still be a problem?

As far as he is concerned, he’s not really losing anything. It’s just an endorsement.

”In that case, look over the contract. If there are no issues, just sign it.”

Seeing Lin Feng agree, Zhou Fu also breathed a slight sigh of relief.

Then, he took out the contract he had prepared ahead of time. The contract was in duplicate. Zhou Fu filled in the 18 million in the amount section and signed his name before handing it to Lin Feng.

Lin Feng flipped through it and then learned that Zhou Fu’s restaurant was called Huating Grand Restaurant. The name was quite upscale, with 46 branches in Jiang City.

Besides requiring a lifetime endorsement, the contract also stipulated that Lin Feng should shoot two commercials for Huating each year, participate in three activities annually, and also required that he couldn’t sign with other restaurants.

The rest were minor details with no issues. Lin Feng signed his name and took one copy of the contract.

”Give me your bank card number!” Having already signed the contract, Zhou Fu was straightforward.

Lin Feng gave out his card number. Before long, with a ding, his phone made a notification sound.

Lin Feng pulled out his phone and looked: Your Bank of China account ending 745... balance 18,122,540.00.

million was the endorsement fee, over 120 thousand was the gambling winnings from the past few days.

”Received it, right?”

Zhou Fu asked while observing Lin Feng’s expression.

At the very beginning, he felt somewhat uneasy. After all, 18 million wasn’t a small amount for him. If the gamble failed, the restaurant wouldn’t necessarily go under, but it would suffer greatly.

But now, his uneasy emotions gradually settled.

Because in his observation, Lin Feng remained calm from start to finish.

It’s hard to imagine a senior high school student from an average family background facing a huge sum of 18 million could remain so composed.

Actually, Zhou Fu didn’t know that Lin Feng wasn’t as calm as he appeared. After all, for him, this was life-saving money.

Two months to scrape together 18 million was a significant pressure on him as well.

Just as he was preparing to lower the endorsement fee, Zhou Fu unexpectedly appeared, offering 18 million straight up. How could he not be excited?

”Received it.”

Lin Feng nodded and then said to Zhou Fu, ”Rest assured, you won’t regret it!”

”Haha, I have confidence in you,” Zhou Fu replied with a smile.

”Since we’ve established a partnership, how about a celebration? At Huating!” Zhou Fu suggested.

Having already established a partnership, it would be a slight not to accept Zhou Fu’s repeated invitations, so Lin Feng invited Gao Hai and the others.

”Brother Feng?”

Gao Hai’s eyes lit up with joy. In his view, going for a meal certainly meant the partnership was a success.

”It worked.”

Lin Feng gave Gao Hai and the others a reassuring look.

After informing his family that he wouldn’t be home for dinner, Lin Feng followed Zhou Fu to the restaurant of his first endorsement in life.

An hour later, the three, full after the feast, walked out of Huating Restaurant.

It was nearly nine o’clock by then. At this time, many in the Shore District were getting ready for bed, but outside Huating, it was brightly lit and bustling as the real nightlife was just beginning.

”Brother Feng, now that you endorse here, do we have to pay when we come in the future?”

Standing at the entrance of Huating, Gao Hai patted his round belly and laughed as he asked.

”Haha, we still have to pay, but we won’t be short on money in the future.” Lin Feng patted Gao Hai’s belly and laughed.

Huating is somewhat similar to Juewei, not quite up to five-star standards, but it has great taste.

Zhou Fu was quite hospitable and accommodating. Even though there were only four of them, they ordered more than ten dishes.

”Any other plans? Going back?” Chen Fan asked.

”Yeah, going home!”

At this late hour, if he didn’t go back, his family would start to worry, and Lin Feng was eager to share the news with them.
