I Love Destroying Worlds' Plot

Chapter 1558 21.15 Fifth Violet Star - Police Station

Learning that he had suddenly become a suspect in a serial killing case, Manager Xue Lian didnʼt know whether to laugh or cry. He had chosen to use a vessel in this world on a whim just to see Tun Shizhe become a joke as an actor, who would have thought that he had become the joke itself. When he turned around, he saw actor Xiu Xie snickering as he held back his laughter and pretended not to laugh when he saw his manager glaring at him.

Manager Xue Lian asked with a menacing voice, ”Is it funny?”

”Yeah, a bit. Pfft!” said Tun Shizhe.

This nonchalant yet trying to hold back the figure of Xiu Mo annoyed his manager, and even the two assistants pretending to be statues at the side made a move as they saw that Manager Xue Lian was about to lose it. This had happened multiple times every time their actor teased the manager.

Manager Xue Lian grumbles, ”How dare you laugh?”

He then jumped on actor Xiu Mo and started pulling the actorʼs hair with no mercy. Tun Shizhe was laughing as his hair was being pulled while the two assistants finally made a move to stop the manager from scratching their actorʼs face.

”Manager, please calm down!”

”Think about your money. If our actors get disfigured, there will be no money for food, cakes, and desserts!”

Manager Xue Lian said, ”Itʼs okay to be a suspect. After killing this bastard, I can become a real criminal!”

”Darling~ cough! calm down. Haha~” said Xiu Mo. ”Wait! Iʼm going to get bald. Ah~”

”Get bald! Even if you become an egghead, there is still a wig for you to wear!” said Manager Xue Lian.

Seeing this comical yet fearless scene, the police force almost didnʼt know what they were supposed to do. Obviously, these people didnʼt believe that Manager Xue Lian is a bad person, seeing that they can still joke around like this. The police couldnʼt help but glance at their captain.

Police Captain Lou Ye said, ”Separate them.”

”Yes, sir!”

With the interference of the police, actor Xiu Mo had actually saved his hair.

Police Captain Lou Ye said, ”Are you guys done? Please cooperate with the investigation or we can only hold you accountable.”

”I would like to call my lawyer and my brother,” said Xiu Mo.

The police captain responded, ”Youʼre brother doesnʼt care. We already came from his place and took your surveillance video last night. You went home at 3 am. The murder was estimated to happen at 3-5 am at the docks.”

”It would take more than three hours from Bar ʼPurgatoryʼ to the sea docks. So, I am not the killer?” asked Manager Xue Lian.

Captain Lou Ye answered, ”Yes. At this moment, the possibility of you being a killer is below 30 percent. The death of the victim was bizarre instead, and our forensic doctor said that it cannot be done by humans.”

”Strange death? What do you mean? The victim wasnʼt just killed in an ordinary way?” asked actor Xiu Mo.

Captain Lou Ye said, ”No. He was cut into square parts. Equal square parts.”

The assistants behind actor Xiu Mo and manager Xue Lian became terrified with those words as they heard about the serial killing happening. They also heard that the serial killer must be a psychopath who cut his victims into weird shapes.

If these police officers are talking about this serial killer and this serial killer had most likely had connection to Manager Xue Lian in any way as his hair was used to frame him as a suspect, this means that everyone the manager knows is possibly that hidden serial killer. These two assistants realized this and felt that they couldnʼt trust the others that easily now.

Manager Xue Lian said, ”This is quite amazing. So, all the people who I know are possible serial killers?”

He then looked at actor Xiu Mo and pointed at him, ”You can grab this one. He is the serial killer.”

Everyone moved their gaze to actor Xiu Mo, who looked stunned as if he couldnʼt believe what he had just heard.

Actor Xiu Mo said, but he didnʼt seem to deny it directly and said, ”Hm~ This is possible. It is just that if the killing happened at dawn on this day, we are together. That means you are a killer yourself.”

Sigh~

”I hope Manager Xue and Actor Xiu please stop saying such words. It wouldnʼt be good to say you are the killers, as I might have to lock you in jail for obstructing the investigation,” said Police Captain Lou. ”Please come with us to the police station to record your entries.”

Manager Xue Lian and actor Xiu Mo looked at one another and knew why the police were asking the two of them to come with them. After all, the people connected to Manager Xue must be listed, and these two whose identities were approved to be not the killer must be protected as well.

Actor Xiu Mo looked at the two hired assistants and said, ”You guys can take the rest of the day and it will still be considered a whole dayʼs work.”

”Whether there is work tomorrow or not will be sent through a message tonight by me. Go home early today,” said Manager Xue Lian.

The two assistants were quiet as they nodded their heads like pecking chickens. The information they heard was something that couldnʼt be spread, so the police listed their basic information as well and warned them not to say anything about the conversation that took place in this dressing room.

The police talking to the two assistants said, ”Please donʼt spread a word about the serial killing case. You will be held accountable if any of the words said in this room are to spread. I hope you two understand.”

”Yeah, we will keep quiet.” One of the two assistants was greatly terrified and is still trembling in fear at this moment.

The other assistant instead only looks calm on the outside, but he is panicking on the inside. ”We wonʼt be targeted by the serial killer.”

”No need to worry. The killer doesnʼt target those who are directly connected with Manager Xue. But just in case you can ask or hire someone to protect you if you are afraid,” said the police officer.

Police Captain Lou Ye, seeing that Manager Xue Lian and Actor Xiu Mo are willing to come with them, finally prepares to leave.

”Letʼs go. The police had explained the situation to your coworker, and you were given two days off from work. Follow us out, and we will escort you both to the station,” said Captain Lou Ye.

After saying those words, the police captain walks out of the room without looking back, and his subordinates handle the rest for their captain. Xiu Mo and Xue Lian were escorted by the police to the station where they were brought for investigation.

All people connected to Manager Xue were listed, including some more people from the side of Actor Xiu Mo. In the first place, these two are always together from work and home. They even live together, so no one knows who the real target between the two is.

But the police guess that it was most likely actor Xiu Mo, as he is an iconic figure in the entertainment industry. This is only applicable if the suspect is a human. If it is not a human as Doctor Blackʼs assumption, then the suspects will be harder to profile.

The one talking to Manager Xue Lian and Actor Xiu Mo is none other than the vice captain with a gentle personality called Shi Chen.

Shi Chen said after the list of people was made, ”Thanks for your hard work. If you want the police to give you protection, I can arrange it for you. After all, according to our forensic doctor, the murder is most likely not human.”

Xiu Mo and Xue Lian were a bit startled with what they heard. They didnʼt expect that the mortals in this world had some concept about beings that are not considered humans. Even so, they still pretended to be surprised about this fact.

Manager Xue Lian asked, ”What do you mean by not human?”

”Are you talking about aliens? Demons or such? The police actually believe that?” asked actor Xiu Mo.

Vice captain Shi Chen smiled and didnʼt answer their question. After all, this side of the world is considered secret for the common people.

”Thank you for your time. Would you like to be escorted home?” asked vice captain Shi Chen.

Xiu Mo said, ”We would like to be sent to my brotherʼs bar. Thank you.”

”Then I shall arrange someone to send you over,” said Shi Chen.

When they are about to leave the police station, they bump into the captain, who was issuing orders to trace all other evidence that may lead them to the serial killer. Of course, all those who were listed were being investigated as well.

Captain Lou saw Xiu Mo and Xue Lian being escorted out by his vice captain.

”Is it finished?”

”Yes, captain!” responded vice captain Shi Chen.

”Escorted them home safely,” said Captain Luo.

Vice captain Shi Chen said, ”The two of them said that they wanted to be escorted to Bar ʼPurgatoryʼ.”

”Then send them there. I will go on patrol now,” said the police captain as he rode his car and took off.

Xiu Mo and Xue Lian actually felt that the police captain didnʼt want to bother them. Unlike the other police officers in the station, they can feel that this captain truly doesnʼt feel worried about their safety when he is supposed to do so. After all, they are supposed to be just a pair of ordinary humans in the eyes of the police.

Xiu Mo asked, ”That captain of yours. What is his name?”

”Our captain is called Lou Ye. He wasnʼt that unapproachable before, but after that one incident in his last case and falling into a coma, when he woke up, he became a bit taciturn.” Vice captain Shi Chen tried to defend his captain.

What he didnʼt know was that in the ears of these two men, the meaning of those words meant different things. They had an inkling that the soul of Captain Lou Ye had been replaced by someone else.

Manager Xue narrowed his phoenix-shaped eyes and said, ”I see.”
