I Can Fish Up Everything!

Chapter 211: Chapter 139: Is My Home Getting Stolen?

”I’m a very busy woman, you know. You can’t just request me every time!” Pan Yourong felt much better. ’This kid knows how to be considerate,’ she thought. ’It wasn’t a waste to give him that free massage after all.’

”It’s just a little more waiting. Since we’ve come all this way, what’s a little more time?”

”Fine!”

Hearing him say that, Pan Yourong stopped holding back and lay down on her side right next to him.

This small bedroom wasn’t a good place for her to work. The ceiling was a bit too low, making the massage more tiring than usual.

Gu Nan didn’t expect her to lie down right next to him. Her impressive assets were suddenly on full display, accompanied by the pleasant scent of her perfume.

Gu Nan shifted inward slightly to maintain a safe distance.

Pan Yourong, of course, noticed his small movement. A smirk played on her lips. This was why she dared to come out to sea with him. ’He’s safe!’

”How about you give me a massage?” ℯℯ𝘭.

”I don’t know how.”

”Come on, I’ll teach you!”

Gu Nan rolled his eyes, speechless. ”Stop messing around. I’m a normal guy. If you’re not afraid of something happening, then I won’t hold back!”

Pan Yourong stared at him, then suddenly rose slightly and crawled toward him like a seductive vixen.

”You won’t hold back? *I’m* the one who won’t be holding back!”

”Don’t you come over here!”

...

「At 5:00 PM, at a pier in Yangjiang Port.」

Gu Nan watched Pan Yourong leave, then returned to his cabin to continue his voyage.

Nothing had actually happened in the bedroom earlier. Pan Yourong had just been playing a little joke on him before voluntarily leaving the room.

The event that Gu Nan had both anticipated and dreaded didn’t happen. Thinking about his reaction just now, he couldn’t help but shake his head. ”Hah, men!”

He originally thought he was different from An Jun, that he didn’t like to fool around. But when such a tempting woman made the first move, he discovered all his principles were just for show.

He couldn’t resist. Not even a little.

It was truly hard for any normal man to resist a beautiful woman, and since she didn’t seem to want anything from him, his defenses were even weaker.

’Maybe I should make things official with Yi Chen sooner?’ Gu Nan hesitated.

He had originally planned for them to slowly cultivate their feelings and let things develop naturally.

But today, that girl had practically sent a ”vixen” to his doorstep, and she was nearly oblivious to the fact that her home was almost ”burgled.”

’If we make it official,’ Gu Nan thought, ’my resistance will be stronger. If I keep my distance and don’t interact with others like that, nothing unexpected will happen.’

Some things you just can’t endure through willpower alone; the only way to avoid them is to consciously keep your distance and cut off contact.

’Or maybe... I should learn from An Jun’s playbook? Don’t initiate, don’t refuse, don’t resist?’

What a headache!

Forget it. Fishermen have a simple code: when in doubt, go fishing.

So, off to fish he went!

「In the days that followed.」

Gu Nan and An Jun continued their battle of wits. Ye Jing had stuck around for a day before going home, unwilling to continue playing this exhausting and infuriating game.

The aftereffects of the oilfish didn’t last long—he only had to wear diapers for two days, which he could live with.

The hardest part was showering. No one wants to reach behind themselves and get a handful of grease.

For a full week, An Jun wore Gu Nan down until he had no fight left in him.

He’d never seen him so fixated on one thing. At this rate, it felt like An Jun would keep this up until the New Year!

So, he surrendered.

「Now, Gu Nan was at Zhao Jie’s Japanese restaurant.」

Staring at the plate of bright green salmon in front of him, he gulped. ”Do you have to be this ruthless?”

An Jun stood beside him and sneered, ”I didn’t take you for Yu Zhou hotpot full of red chilies. I’d say that’s merciful enough!”

”If you don’t want a repeat of things getting... explosive on both ends, then you’ll obediently eat this plate of salmon. Once you finish, this business between us is over.”

Gu Nan’s mouth twitched. ”With this much wasabi, I think I’ll be feeling it on both ends later anyway, won’t I?”

”I don’t care. Eat it, or this continues.” An Jun was determined to get revenge for his public humiliation. He didn’t even dare go to nightclubs anymore, afraid someone would recognize him.

He couldn’t help it; he used to be a regular, a familiar face.

Because of this, most of the regular club-goers knew him. He even tried a new club a couple of days ago and was still recognized, earning him the nickname ”Oil Bro.”

Now he couldn’t even go to his usual spots. How could he possibly swallow that indignity?

Nearby, Xu Zhina, Ye Jing, and Jin Enfei—who had just returned and heard about the incident—were all leisurely enjoying their own food.

There were also two spectators enjoying the show, Zhao Jie and Zhao Jiajia, both looking on with schadenfreude.

Only Yi Chen would occasionally cast a worried glance his way, but she was powerless to help. After all, this was between him and An Jun, and even Ye Jing supported it.

”Fine, fine, I’ll eat!” Gu Nan knew there was no escaping this. For friendships to thrive, pranks had to be a two-way street. If one person was always the victim, the friendship would eventually fade.

No one likes being the one who’s always getting picked on.

Gu Nan picked up a piece of salmon completely slathered in wasabi and, with a look of tragic heroism, put it in his mouth.

But the extreme, stimulating spiciness he expected didn’t come.

It was a little spicy, but nothing like that instant head-rush of real wasabi.

’Is this wasabi paste?’

But a moment later, a sharp, nasal-stinging sensation hit him from within the paste, going straight to his head.

An Jun, who had been waiting for Gu Nan’s reaction and was starting to suspect Zhao Jie had faked it, nodded in satisfaction upon seeing this.

In reality, the spiciness wasn’t that intense. The person who prepared the salmon had hidden a dab of the potent stuff inside the milder wasabi paste.

It was enough to get a reaction, but not enough to be overly harsh.

”Gah—!” Gu Nan immediately launched into an exaggerated performance, squeezing his eyes shut and forcing out two tears.

At the same time, he quickly grabbed a tissue to cover his nose—not because it was running, but because it *wasn’t*, and he had to keep up the act.

Seeing this, Zhao Jiajia quietly winked at the worried-looking Yi Chen beside her.
