I Can Fish Up Everything!

Chapter 208: Chapter 138: Blocked at the Dock, Pan Yourong Helps Deliver Supplies

He could pick up freshwater and other supplies at other docks.

Yangjiang Port had so many docks; how could An Jun and Ye Jing possibly block them all!

But those were just for temporary docking. They’d charge a fee if he stayed too long.

But Gu Nan had no intention of going ashore to buy supplies himself. It wasn’t that he was short on cash, but since he was already playing this game with An Jun and the others, he might as well play it out properly.

When the time came, and Yi Chen showed up by his side right in front of them, the looks on their faces would surely be priceless.

So, he took out his phone and called Yi Chen. ”Yi Chen, are you busy?”

”Not really, it’s not too busy. What’s up, Boss?” There was a customer in the shop at that moment, but it was a regular—and someone who almost never showed up in the morning: Pan Yourong.

She had taken the day off. Her parents had picked up her child last night, so she decided to take a full day to rest and relax.

She had come to the seafood shop purely because she’d heard there was a giant grouper nearly two meters long and wanted to see it for herself. While she was at it, she planned to buy a lobster to treat herself.

Hearing Yi Chen say the word ”Boss” immediately caught her attention.

Gu Nan hadn’t been to the massage parlor recently, and she was starting to wonder if she had been a bit too forward last time and scared him away.

”That punk An Jun and Ye Jing are blocking me at the docks. I can’t get back to the shop for now, so I’m leaving it in your hands for the next few days.”

”As if you come to the shop that often anyway.”

”...”

Hearing the silence on the other end, Yi Chen stifled a laugh and said in a sweet voice, ”Alright, I get it. Is there anything else?”

”Also, I need you to buy me some groceries, shampoo, body wash, that kind of stuff. They’ll most likely keep staking me out for the next few days, so I’ll just lay low at sea for a while!”

”Huh? But I can’t leave right now!”

”No problem. You can bring it over this afternoon after you close the shop. I’ll send you my location then. Just be careful not to let An Jun or Ye Jing tail you.”

”Okay, okay, I’ll head over this afternoon,” Yi Chen agreed, nodding repeatedly.

’If I go this afternoon, maybe I’ll get a chance to go out on the water with him. This is a rare opportunity to be alone with Gu Nan!’

Seeing her hang up the phone, Pan Yourong casually asked, ”By the way, I haven’t seen Boss Gu around. Does he not come to the shop anymore?”

”Yeah, the boss doesn’t come to the shop much...” Just as Yi Chen finished speaking, someone she really didn’t want to see today walked in: An Jun.

Originally, the plan was just to catch Gu Nan today and ”gently” rough him up a bit, and that would’ve been the end of it.

But failing to catch him only made them angrier. Now, even Ye Jing, who had been dragged into this stakeout by An Jun, was ready to have it out with him.

So, the two of them discussed it and decided one would stay at the docks while the other went to the shop, in case Gu Nan secretly came ashore somewhere else and returned.

The reason Ye Jing didn’t come was because he wasn’t as thick-skinned as An Jun.

After all, the person watching the shop was his buddy’s future wife, and it wouldn’t look good for a man and a woman to be alone together.

But An Jun didn’t mind. He was practically their matchmaker and knew Yi Chen better anyway.

At this, Pan Yourong saw someone else was there and held back the questions she wanted to ask. Instead, she picked out a Rose Dragon that weighed around three pounds.

After she left, Yi Chen looked at An Jun with a slight headache. ”The boss isn’t here today. You won’t be able to catch him.”

”No problem, no problem. If I can’t get him today, I’ll come back tomorrow. I’ll wait until he shows up.”

”Don’t you have your own things to do?”

”To wait for him, I can put everything else aside.”

Though the words sounded touching, An Jun said them through gritted teeth.

”I’m closing the shop this afternoon to go home and rest,” Yi Chen said, glaring.

”That’s fine. You go ahead and close.” An Jun knew that if he stayed in the shop, she would definitely sneak a message to Gu Nan telling him not to come back.

Besides, his main goal wasn’t to ambush him at the shop anyway. If he secretly followed her later, he might be able to find Gu Nan directly.

”...” She was speechless. An Jun could wait wherever he wanted; it wouldn’t stop her from delivering the supplies this afternoon anyway.

The morning passed quickly. At noon, Yi Chen didn’t give him a hard time and still made lunch for two.

After they ate, she told An Jun to go home, then closed the shop and went to buy the supplies.

She rode her electric scooter to the market and bought some rice and noodles, followed by various vegetables, meat, and fruit.

In the distance, An Jun, also on an electric scooter and wearing a helmet, saw her buying so many things, and his eyes lit up.

’She’s buying supplies for Gu Nan!’

Seeing her get on her scooter to leave, An Jun quickly followed. But she suddenly stopped and whipped her head around, scaring An Jun so badly that he slammed on his brakes, his heart leaping into his throat.

Seeing his familiar clothes, Yi Chen felt another headache coming on.

She’d had a feeling someone was following her, and sure enough, when she turned around, she saw An Jun.

But she immediately looked away, glanced around, and pretended she hadn’t seen him before riding off.

As he continued to follow, An Jun wondered, ’Did she not see me just now?’

’But whether she saw me or not, I’ll just keep following for now.’

Yi Chen still went to the supermarket and bought the shampoo and body wash. Now all she had to do was shake him.

As it turned out, when she went to check out, she happened to run into Pan Yourong, who was also shopping at the supermarket. Yi Chen’s eyes suddenly lit up...

Meanwhile, Gu Nan, who was near a dock somewhere, read the message from Yi Chen with a slightly strange expression on his face.

’She’s actually having Pan Yourong deliver the stuff to me? The question is, how does she even know her?’

’I can’t believe An Jun is actually stooping to tailing people.’ Gu Nan hadn’t expected that either. ’Clearly, I really pissed him off this time, enough to make him start playing detective.’

When he first saw Yi Chen’s message about being followed, his initial plan was to just call it off for the day and sneak out to buy some things himself.

But now that Pan Yourong was already on her way, he had no choice but to wait.

Still, Gu Nan remained cautious. He didn’t pull up to the shore to wait, deciding it was best to hold off until she actually arrived.

Having come this far, he couldn’t guess what kind of punishment awaited him if he got caught. But it would either be force-feeding him a huge portion of escolar, or something so sour and spicy it would send him to the afterlife.

’Maybe a whole tube of wasabi?’

’Either way, he didn’t want to find out. So for now, he’d just keep playing along!’
