I Can Fish Up Everything!

Chapter 192: Chapter 134: The Club’s Other 2 Shareholders (Part 2)

It still wasn’t a small amount, but compared to his total earnings, it was practically a rounding error.

Take the thirty spider crabs that had just arrived, for example. They averaged about three and a half pounds, but the unit price was actually a bit cheaper, selling for only 260 a pound.

For such a large order from the hotel, he couldn’t very well charge the retail price. So, he had to settle for a profit of just over 20,000.

The Spotted Prawn Shrimp brought in even less. Fifty of them totaled only forty-two pounds. Because they were large and the females were full of roe, the unit price was higher, but they still only sold for 13,000.

In fact, his total revenue for the afternoon hadn’t even reached 250,000. The three blue-bodied Large-spot Groupers single-handedly inflated that number, and it still wasn’t as much as he’d made from the yellowtail last time.

”Just seventy or eighty thousand...” An Jun’s lips twitched. ”Anyway, I don’t care. It’s my treat tonight, but you have to treat tomorrow!”

An Jun refused to give up on the chance to have a rich guy foot the bill. He was currently spending his own savings and was in a completely different league from Gu Nan.

This only strengthened his resolve to get his own business up and running as soon as possible.

”Alright, alright, alright! Next time we’ll find a good spot to barbecue and camp. I’ll bring all the food, how about that?” Gu Nan finally caved, unable to stand the pestering. The guy was sometimes more annoying than a needy girlfriend.

Besides, he was planning on taking a little trip in a few days anyway, so he agreed.

A short while later, the employees sent by Sheng Shuyun arrived to transport the groupers they had purchased from the tank.

Gu Nan’s shop had a small mobile crane, which made things much easier for them.

Wang Junhe, on the other hand, couldn’t move his fish just yet. His club had aquariums, but none large enough to house such a big grouper.

They were heading back to the club’s headquarters now to figure out what to do with the fish.

They would have to prepare a new tank and cycle the water, which would take half a month at the very least.

Gu Nan was quite pleased. This meant the fish would be staying in his shop for a while, continuing to bless it with its wealth-attracting aura for free.

Normally, he wouldn’t be held responsible if it died in his care, but he wasn’t that heartless. Besides, the fish from his game were incredibly resilient.

Ever since he’d gotten the game, he hadn’t lost a single fish he was raising. The only ones that had died on him were ones he’d caught in the local harbor.

If it really did die, he would just catch a similar one to replace it. He couldn’t let 120,000 yuan get in the way of their friendship.

It was now past five o’clock, and the seafood market was gradually starting to bustle with activity.

Customers began to notice the giant grouper in Gu Nan’s tank. They all stopped to take pictures and admire it, which in turn drew an even bigger crowd.

The shop became packed. Feeling awkward about leaving empty-handed after gawking, many decided to browse. Most of them ended up leaving with a bag of seafood.

Hake was the biggest seller. It was inexpensive, and it benefited from the general popularity of cod-like fish.

The shop’s stock was cleared out in just half an hour. Fortunately, Gu Nan had more in his cold storage warehouse and immediately arranged for a new shipment.

As for the giant groupers, he still had three Meter Level ones in his aquarium, not to mention plenty of others that were seventy or eighty centimeters long.

It was hard to catch a Meter Level one without using a special item, but his golden fishing rod had its own perks. Whenever he used its guaranteed-catch ability, the fish he reeled in were always huge.

Gu Nan thought for a moment and decided to hold off. He had sold so much today; he needed some time to handle all the shipments.

At six-thirty, Ye Jing arrived with Xu Zhina. Gu Nan quickly ushered out the last few customers who were still admiring the giant fish, then promptly closed up shop.

With so many people crowding the store, Gu Nan and Yi Chen had been running around like crazy. They could finally breathe a sigh of relief.

Ye Jing and Xu Zhina were also amazed by the giant fish. After they stepped outside, the sight of the big orange cat inside the shop gave Ye Jing an idea. ”Ah Nan, I took in this really beautiful bicolor cat. It’s three months old, so it doesn’t need any special care. You just have to feed it and make sure it has a litter box. Do you want it?”

Gu Nan’s expression faltered, and he gave a wry smile. ”Are you still taking in stray kittens?”

Ye Jing shook his head. ”Not anymore. I only have so much capacity, I can’t possibly care for any more than that. The situation’s resolved now, and most of the kittens I took in before have recently been adopted.”

”I just think you spend too much time going out to sea to fish all by yourself. With a cat around, at least you wouldn’t be so bored.”

”I’m not bored. Not at all,” Gu Nan said, shaking his head. Whenever he went fishing, he barely had time to rest. A cat wouldn’t make a difference.

”Speaking of which, why don’t you offer it to Ah Jun? I bet he’d take it.”

An Jun, standing nearby, threw up his hands. ”He did! I’ve already got two at home!”

Ye Jing pulled out his phone and showed him a photo. ”I’m not just trying to offload it because I can’t take care of it. This cat is gorgeous. I thought you might really like it.”

The moment Gu Nan saw the picture, he heard Yi Chen gasp. ”Wow, it’s so cute!”

He inwardly sighed. ’Great. Now I have no choice but to take this cat.’

But after seeing the cat, he understood that Ye Jing’s intentions were different this time. He wasn’t just trying to find a home for a cat he couldn’t care for; he was specifically recommending a great cat to him.

Gu Nan didn’t know much about cats, but he had to admit he was drawn in by its good looks. As for the hassle of caring for it, raising a cat was actually much easier than raising a dog.

”Boss, what if I take care of it?” Yi Chen asked, her eyes full of hope. Like any young woman, she was powerless against such an adorable, beautiful cat.

”Alright!” What else could Gu Nan say? The shop already had a big orange cat, so one more wouldn’t make a difference.

Seeing that he had agreed, a smile spread across Ye Jing’s face.

This long-haired bicolor cat had also been abandoned. He had cared for it for over a month, and in that time, plenty of people had wanted to adopt it, some even offering money.

Back then, however, the cat was sick and needed special care, so adoption was out of the question. Now that the little one was healthy, and seeing the big orange cat in Gu Nan’s shop, he figured Gu Nan was no longer averse to pets, so he decided to ask.
