His Beloved Treasure

Chapter 2033: Chapter 582: The Incompetent Daughter-in-Law (Part 3)

”Not so great!”

Mu Yichen commented, lowering his head to eat.

Mu Qingxin...

Qin Mu acted as if she hadn’t heard, Mu Qingxin leaned over to her ear: ”Your husband is really stingy.”

Qin Mu nodded in agreement.

Mu Yichen glanced at Qin Mu again.

”If he doesn’t play later, we will!”

”I’m going to draw later!”

Qin Mu directly refused.

Mu Qingxin gave her a look, her eyes expressing disdain for her boring nature.

”Mom, there’s a beauty appointment at ten this morning, I suggest you go with her!”

Qin Mu finished what was in her mouth and whispered to her.

Mu Qingxin looked at her again, naturally understanding Qin Mu’s meaning, sighed helplessly: ”Understood!”

Feng Fanghua was always hoping for her daughter to come home and spend time with her, not just at home but also going out.

By ten, the rain would probably stop, Mu Qingxin thought about it, the issue of allowance could wait until later, as long as she accompanies her mom well, hehe!

”So you’re staying home to draw all day today?”

Mu Qingxin asked her.

”Yeah! I’m not going out today!”

Slightly tempted to go to the bookstore, but considering it, decided against it; Qin Mingzhu had a serious talk with her last night about future plans for the bookstore, Qin Mu thought Qin Mingzhu’s ideas were quite good. With such a favorable location, superb interior decoration, and perfect fittings, Qin Mu believed even if the bookstore didn’t make money, it wouldn’t be a financial drain, as long as Qin Mingzhu wasn’t too slack, she’d let her play freely.

Not going out?

Mu Yichen casually ate a bit of breakfast, then got up and left.

Mu Qingxin obediently went to find Feng Fanghua, who was in her room reading a book, with gold-rimmed glasses hanging by her ear, she slightly glanced at the door upon hearing a sound, seeing her slightly anxious daughter.

”Mom, would you like me to accompany you for a beauty appointment today?”

Mu Qingxin saw she was caught, immediately asked Feng Fanghua softly, walking towards her.

”Humph! You actually remember today is my weekly beauty appointment?”

Feng Fanghua snorted coldly, sarcastically.

”Hehe, how could I forget such an important day!”

Mu Qingxin walked behind her, massaging her shoulders, grinning foolishly.

Feng Fanghua said no more, bowing her head to finish reading the passage.

Mu Qingxin sometimes thought her mom was really amazing; in ancient times, being both scholarly and skilled, applied it to her mom perfectly.

As a child, she witnessed her mom rolling up her sleeves to lift a huge medicine chest, as strong as any man. But when Feng Fanghua put down her sleeves and picked up a book, she appeared completely different, like a noble lady from a grand house, exuding an exceptional air, yet suppressing it all within, compelling admiration.

”Mom, do you still often read books now?”

Mu Qingxin asked while massaging her.

”Occasionally, take a look!”

Feng Fanghua replied lightly, thinking inwardly it was just to kill time while waiting for this mischievous girl.

Feng Fanghua had been waiting for Mu Qingxin, once the girl came home, she left the child at home and ran out right away, not returning until late night, barely talked to her before going to bed. Thinking about it, she was quite upset.

”I must learn from you, read more books, learn continuously, right?”

”Humph! You?”

Feng Fanghua wasn’t at all confident in her daughter’s ability to read, as if Mu Qingxin post-graduation had been merely wandering around, not applying what she learned, not setting up her own company, living like an idler. Luckily, she got married and had a child, with a dependable husband, giving Feng Fanghua as a mother some comfort.

Sometimes Feng Fanghua thought if Mu Qingxin could live such a carefree life, it was indeed good fortune.

A girl living freely for a lifetime, such happiness, seemed like it only existed in movies.

Qin Mu returned to the study; yesterday she had placed the drafts for Huanhuan and Chengcheng into the computer’s email, planning to revise them today, thought she’d do it at the studio, turned out to be at home.

Outside it was raining, at this point the rain had lessened a bit but still fell steadily, bringing a surge of inspiration.

Zifeng happened to be there; Qin Mu thought, and decided to design three outfits, one for each sibling.

With that in mind, she began working, Chengcheng and Zifeng’s clothes only needed slight modifications; if not examined closely, there wouldn’t appear to be much difference, Huanhuan being a girl, she designed a style that Huanhuan liked.
