His Beloved Treasure

Chapter 2008: Chapter 575: My Better Half (4)

”Boring? My dear Miss Qin, your bookstore is opening tomorrow. Ask yourself, since I told you we bought the store until now, how many times have you been there? And what do you do each time you go?”

”Uh! Well, aren’t there employees? I thought I could be the behind-the-scenes boss!”

Qin Mu felt a headache coming on, but Qin Mingzhu felt she wasn’t wrong. With employees there, as a boss, she could certainly eat, drink, and have fun.

But at the start of a business, the boss also needs to be involved.

Qin Mu was almost fainting from frustration, remembering the effort it took to open JY in Rongcheng.

Of course, a bookstore is different, but a good bookstore also needs good leadership from the boss, otherwise the opening day will be total chaos.

”Mingzhu, if you’re feeling bored, you should try doing something, like when you wanted to open a bookstore. Now that it’s ready, how can you just hide behind? Plus, as Wang Huanyu’s wife, do you really want to remain unaccomplished?”

Qin Mu hugged her shoulder and began discussing kindly with her.

”Uh! Well, of course not. As Wang Huanyu’s wife, I must be capable. I’m going to open the bookstore, and I’ll be there tomorrow.”

”Not just be there tomorrow, but you need to be at the store early.”

”Uh! What time is early? It can’t be as early as eight, right?”

”Eight? Six o’clock!”

Qin Mu could barely tolerate it anymore.

Qin Mingzhu...

Six o’clock...

That’s her dreamtime.

”Sis...”

”Don’t call me Sis. If you can’t get up tomorrow morning, I’ll call you Sis.”

”Well, then I’ll just get Huanyu to wake me up. After all, he’s always up early.”

Qin Mingzhu felt guilty, wondering if she’d survive waking up at such a time, but she didn’t want to disappoint Qin Mu too much.

Qin Mu couldn’t help but smile seeing her like that, thinking luckily Wang Huanyu would wake her up.

”Sis, what if Auntie mentions having a third child again...”

Qin Mingzhu cautiously asked, actually this was what she worried about the most.

Thinking about it rationally, even she didn’t want more kids, so how could she persuade her sister to keep having them?

”If you’re lazy about it yourself, handle it, but don’t egg me on.”

Qin Mu said as she walked out first.

Qin Mingzhu stood there in the back, still muttering something, Qin Mu turned her head: ”Go eat!”

”Oh, oh, oh! Right away!”

Qin Mingzhu agreed, quickly running up to join her back to the room for dinner.

After dinner, Wang Huanyu came to pick her up personally. Although their status is different now, Wang Huanyu still personally took care of picking up his wife, and Qin Mu really liked this brother-in-law for that.

Afterwards, their whole family went to sleep, old and young alike.

”Today has been really... Mu Yichen, how do you feel about the third child?”

”I don’t feel much! Not having any!”

Mu Yichen looked at the ceiling, staring at the familiar light fixture.

Qin Mu felt slightly at ease seeing him still so firm.

”Let Qin Mingzhu spend less time with Mom.”

Mu Yichen said before going to bed, today the sisters had gone to the restroom to chat, Feng Fanghua had criticized him for not considering the family enough.

He wondered how he wasn’t thoughtful?

But he’s not with his wife just to have kids.

Mu Yichen pondered, if not for the family business, and if they were just regular employees, they’d eat well, live child-free, travel around, save enough funds, and not worry about having no one to bury them when they’re old.

”I’ve already talked to her about it, she’s well-intentioned, just handling things badly.”

Qin Mu couldn’t help but chuckle, speaking softly.

——

The next morning, Mu Yichen still asked Qin Mu to give him a ride to work. Qin Mu snorted: ”Once you’re in my car, I decide where to take you!”

”You can’t bear to sell me anyway!”

Mu Yichen confidently placed one hand on the car door.

”Hmph! That’s exactly the reason today!”

Qin Mu put on a smile and got in the car.
