His Beloved Treasure

Chapter 2020: Chapter 578: Comes When Called_4

Hmm, this little guy really can uplift one’s mood!

Qin Mu couldn’t help but think of Chengcheng when he was little. Chengcheng was just as adorable and brought such joy to others.

Of course, her beloved son is still as wonderful now.

When Qin Mingzhu woke up, she had already left, and the baby was sleeping beside Qin Mingzhu again. Qin Mingzhu didn’t come out until almost off work, and asked, ”Has my sister been here?”

”She came by, stayed in your office for half an hour, and then left!”

The staff explained to Qin Mingzhu very loyally.

Qin Mingzhu...

Stayed for half an hour?

Why didn’t she know anything about it?

”Did she, did she say anything when she left?”

Qin Mingzhu asked, slightly anxious.

”She just asked us not to disturb you!”

The staff smiled at her with a look that seemed to say, your sister is really good to you.

——

After visiting the bookstore, Qin Mu didn’t go to the studio. It felt a bit far, so she settled in the office of the fashion store, had a cup of coffee, and started designing winter clothes for her son and daughter.

She thought, those two little ones must like it. She must work hard to cater to their likes, and design the characters from their favorite cartoons in their clothes, but without making them too conspicuous. She chose to design their favorite characters on the collars of her son and daughter’s clothes.

An afternoon seemed to gradually pass by in her whimsical ideas. When she raised her head again, she just felt a little pain in her neck, and Mu Yichen, because she didn’t pick him up from work, was unhappy and called her.

”Mrs. Mu, it is now six forty sharp. Did you forget your husband gets off work at five thirty? May I ask what you’re busy with?”

Qin Mu instinctively looked outside as she answered the phone, then suddenly realized she had indeed forgotten.

”Oh! I’ll be right over! I’m at the fashion store now!”

Qin Mu said, putting down the pen she was holding, and decided to continue drawing tomorrow. Then she grabbed her bag and rushed to pick up her husband.

Mu Yichen put down his phone, as he patiently waited for his wife to come pick him up. After all, his time was always reserved for her.

Yang Qin, after finishing overtime, glanced at the office over there; he hadn’t come out yet. Yang Qin thought about it, got up, and then went to knock on the door.

”Come in!”

Mu Yichen responded upon hearing the knock, and looked up towards the door.

”Boss, it’s off work, aren’t you leaving?”

”I’ll wait for a bit longer; you can go home first if you’re done!”

Mu Yichen said softly.

”Alright! If you need, I can call a driver for you!”

”No need, Mrs. Mu will be here shortly!”

Mu Yichen said, standing up, and walked towards the window.

Yang Qin’s heart clenched, then she closed the door for him, and left.

Mrs. Mu will be here shortly?

When he said that, although his face was expressionless, his voice seemed joyful.

Yang Qin packed up her things and walked out. In fact, she didn’t want to walk too much because even though he works on time, when he spends too long in the office, she can’t see him much.

And lately, she doesn’t know why, but she seems more and more eager to see him.

Yang Qin felt her breathing was somewhat oppressive, a bit uncomfortable, yet she still pressed the elevator button, reluctantly, bowing her head as she left when the elevator opened.

The elevator descended floor by floor. She stood quietly beside the elevator wall, waiting, thinking that her departure date seemed not far off, and unconsciously, another piece of her heart collapsed.

Xi Meng’s warnings often revolve in her ears; she knows she shouldn’t overstep, knows she should focus on her duties, knows she should restrain her heart. She tried to date male colleagues, not serious dates, but she wanted to feel a bit of affection from another man.

But sometimes, it seems the more she does chores, the clearer her feelings become for another person.

The elevator reached the first floor, and she nodded a greeting when she met colleagues.

”Secretary Yang, do you want to join us for dinner? Tonight, we have many people going; it’s all familiar colleagues!”

A few girls were heading out together and greeted her.

”No thanks! Have fun!”

She nodded, smiling politely to refuse.

The girls seemed to have anticipated her answer, so they didn’t insist: ”Then we’ll go relax; see you tomorrow!”

”See you tomorrow!”

Qin Mu’s car was parked right outside the office building, and she wanted to get out for some fresh air. Unluckily, as she stepped out and closed the door, Yang Qin came out from inside.

Yang Qin was momentarily stunned upon seeing her. Qin Mu greeted her out of politeness, ”Just got off work?”

”Yes!”

Yang Qin smiled, nodding politely.

Qin Mu didn’t say more, just suddenly regretted why she had gotten out of the car.

They stood in silence. Qin Mu glanced at Yang Qin again; Yang Qin didn’t leave, just stood there looking at her, with a half-smile, also filled with restraint.

Qin Mu felt uneasy about it, gradually becoming a bit tense.
