Gene Unlocking: I Evolve Every Day

Chapter 472: Chapter 406: A New Discovery

The vast and endless starry sky, countless stars flicker like campfires in the distant places.

”True Self” has transferred over Lu Li, who is now near Mars, examining his situation.

He observed that after transferring ”True Self” into this new flesh, it still could not evolve normally.

Lu Li was somewhat puzzled, ”The ’True Self’ has already transferred to a new flesh, why can’t it evolve?”

He sensed the original flesh, discovering a worrying situation — it had also stopped evolving.

”Hmm?”

Lu Li felt a shock in his heart, ”Could it be that I won’t be able to evolve anymore in the future?”

This made him a little anxious, ready to transfer ”True Self” back to the original flesh.

Suddenly, Lu Li noticed a situation.

The newly transferred ”True Self” seemed to be undergoing a subtle change with the flesh.

A bit of ”Divine” gene was being birthed from ”True Self,” slowly integrating into the new flesh.

This was a newly crafted flesh, although its strength was almost identical to the original flesh, it did not possess much ”Divine” gene.

Now that ”True Self” has transferred over, it seems to be generating ”Divine” genes.

Lu Li vaguely understood something, ”I had previously observed that ’Divine’ genes are indeed the true key that affects evolution; therefore, it makes sense that this new flesh didn’t possess infinite evolution ability before, due to lacking ’Divine’ genes.”

No.

Simply having ”Divine” genes cannot affect evolution.

Lu Li analyzed from both flesh situations that evolution also had a necessary condition, which required ”True Self” control.

The two conditions are indispensable.

This new flesh had insufficient ”Divine” genes before, also lacked ”True Self” control — it surely couldn’t evolve infinitely.

Now the old flesh, although it has fairly ample ”Divine” genes, still cannot evolve normally due to the absence of ”True Self.”

”True Self” is like the core processor; ”Divine” genes are like the software.

Without the core processor, having only software is of no use.

Just having software, without the core processor, is the same principle.

Lu Li pondered, ”No wonder this flesh didn’t have the ability to evolve before.”

Of course, now this flesh has too few ”Divine” genes, still lacking the ability to evolve.

He assessed that as ”True Self” continuously secretes ”Divine” genes, it would take at least a month to equalize the count of ”Divine” genes in the new flesh with the old flesh.

Namely, after a month, the new flesh will be virtually identical to the old flesh, equipped with the ability to evolve.

”A month is too long to spend cultivating new flesh; I might as well return to the old flesh.”

Lu Li didn’t plan to truly transfer flesh; his old flesh is intact without being destroyed, why waste a month cultivating ”Divine” genes, squandering evolutionary progress?

With this thought, he was ready to return the ”True Self” to the old flesh.

The notion just formed halfway, Lu Li contemplated something, ”It just so happens this new flesh has ample energy; I can use it to simulate the gamma-ray bursts scenario, and later, I can also let it gather the ’Savior’ Mecha. This way, it’s like having two of me working, saving a lot of effort.”

If conditions permit, he could even generate several more ”Entity Avatars.”

However, Lu Li doesn’t plan to do that due to energy consumption issues.

Currently, I have a total of eight ”Yang Spirit” avatars.

Now the power has surged by 25%.

He sensed that he can still gather two more ”Yang Spirit” avatars.

Altogether that makes ten.

Among them, ”Yang Spirit” Number One is intended to maintain the new flesh.

”Yang Spirit” Number Two is to explore gamma-ray bursts.

Only eight are left for energy collection.

Calculating that each one can provide 15% energy per use.

Eight together can provide 120% energy total.

Lu Li exhausts energy three to four times a day, applying pressure on the body.

How could there be extra ”Yang Spirit” avatars to collect shared energy for ”Entity Avatars”?

”Two entity avatars are sufficient for now.”

Lu Li thought internally, ”Let’s simulate and predict the future scenarios, set aside the other matters for now.”

He began mobilizing internal energy, spreading out in all directions, interacting with those vast particles, attempting simulations.

One day.

Three days.

Eighteen days.

Soon it reached the twenty-fifth day.

As before, Lu Li tried to incorporate some simulated elements during the prelude to the gamma-ray bursts arrival, like himself with the ”Savior” Mecha, to see if he could simulate a scenario to resolve gamma-ray bursts.

Unfortunately, this simulation still failed.

Lu Li did not feel discouraged.

He shifted focus to simulate the specific direction from which gamma-ray bursts are coming.

Previously his simulation results indicated that gamma-ray bursts might come from sixteen directions.

Later, with increasing power, he ruled out one wrong option, now there are fifteen directions left.

Because in prior simulations, he repeatedly couldn’t exclude any more wrong options.

Therefore, he did not anticipate much from this simulation practice.

However, something unexpected happened.

Lu Li saw within the strong light of the simulated gamma-ray bursts, he vaguely discerned the approximate location from where it was coming!

It was shot from the direction of the Sun!

No, to be precise, it was shot from the back of the Sun!

Lu Li suddenly looked toward the Sun, feeling a bit pleased, ”The results I deduced earlier not only included the backside of the Sun but also all directions. Now it’s confirmed to be shot from behind the Sun, I can directly exclude nearly half of the incorrect options!”

The incorrect options to exclude number up to seven.

Currently, only eight directions remain to be discussed!

Although the exact direction hasn’t been found yet, Lu Li is already quite happy.

”It turns out that as my strength increases, under the premise that my deduction and simulation abilities have greatly improved, I can indeed deduce more things.”

He gradually became somewhat enlightened. If his strength wasn’t strong enough, simulating and deducing thousands of times wouldn’t yield the real answer.

On the contrary, as long as he is strong enough, a single simulation will generally result in significant progress.

”As long as I can maintain the current pace of evolution, then each day I only need to simulate once, and within a few days, I should be able to know the exact source of the gamma-ray burst.”

Lu Li’s eyes flickered slightly, ”And even... to find out whether this gamma-ray burst was naturally born or man-made!”

He has a strong premonition that the gamma-ray burst he senses is very likely not naturally generated.

Because none of the stars near the Solar System have been observed exploding in recent years.

Since the conditions for the natural genesis of gamma rays aren’t met, doesn’t it only leave the possibility of being man-made?

Lu Li put away the deduction simulation function, his eyes deep in thought, ”If it can be proven to be man-made, then it can prove that in the Cosmos, humans are not the only intelligent life forms, and it’s highly probable that other cosmic races exist.”

Actually, even with a simple thought, he knows the possibility of aliens existing is high.

Why?

The reasoning is simple: the probability of life being born on Earth is very tiny, but it really did happen.

And currently, the observable length of the Cosmos has reached 93 billion light-years.

No matter how small the probability of life appearing on other planets is, there’s still that chance, isn’t it?

Within the enormous scope of 93 billion light-years, the possibility of fulfilling this probability is high.

”I hope there aren’t any aliens.”

Lu Li secretly prayed, ”Or rather, I hope the gamma-ray burst isn’t man-made.”

Once the gamma-ray burst truly proves to be created by aliens, it only indicates one situation.

That is, the technology of this cosmic race goes far beyond human civilization, and it’s very probable that it has reached a three-level galaxy civilization.

This is undoubtedly very terrifying.

Earth civilization simply can’t withstand it.

The gap between the two is too vast.

If aliens really have any ideas, wanting to destroy Earth civilization would be incredibly easy.

As for whether he himself would be wiped out by highly advanced aliens, Lu Li isn’t worried.

He doesn’t believe there’s another existence in the Cosmic Space that embodies ”the mighty power of heaven and earth” like him.

He can teleport instantly.

Possesses a near ”immortal and indestructible” nature.

Alien technology would need to be unimaginably advanced to kill him; otherwise, it’s very difficult.

That said, while he himself might not need to fear the presence of advanced alien civilizations, Earth civilization isn’t that fortunate.

Therefore, Lu Li hopes the gamma-ray burst isn’t man-made.

But if a highly advanced alien civilization truly exists and has designs on Earth...

Lu Li slightly squinted his eyes, ”I will mercilessly do whatever it takes to destroy this alien civilization!”

Thinking of this, he shook his head, ”First, transfer the ’True Self’ back to Earth.”

...

The ”True Self” returned to the old flesh.

Lu Li checked it out and found that the old flesh that had stopped evolving before had resumed.

”Just as I suspected, the necessary condition for evolution involves both ’divine genes’ and the ’True Self’ being present.”

Lu Li couldn’t help but develop a bold hypothesis.

That he wasn’t born as the Little Golden Man due to evolving.

Instead, it’s because of the existence of the Little Golden Man, this special substance or energy containing ’divine genes’, that the genes were fully unlocked, granting the ability of infinite evolution.

So, the new question arises: where did the Little Golden Man come from?

Lu Li temporarily couldn’t find an answer.

But he knows that as he grows stronger, this answer will inevitably come to light.

”Let’s not dwell on these things; solve the gamma-ray burst problem first.”

Lu Li cleared away the distractions in his mind and then from the ”Flame of True Self” condensed two ”Yang God” doppelgangers and ordered them to enter Cosmic Space to collect energy.

After doing all this, he began to gather the ”Savior” Mecha.

At the same time, Lu Li also gave the order to the ”Entity” doppelganger to gather the ”Savior” Mecha.

Then...

Well, in half a day’s time, he and the entity doppelganger together gathered a total of five thousand ”Savior” Mechas.

Lu Li couldn’t help but chuckle softly, ”Originally, I used to be busy until nighttime every day, but now it’s only been half a day, and for a moment I’m really not used to it.”

Indeed, having an entity doppelganger is truly beneficial.

With the help of the entity doppelganger, he no longer needs to be busy gathering Mechas all day.

If Lu Li wished, he could completely do whatever he wanted and have the entity doppelganger gather Mechas non-stop twenty-four hours a day, completely freeing himself.

Lu Li felt idle for a moment, not quite used to it, ”Now I have a lot of free time, should I find something else to do?”
