Gene Unlocking: I Evolve Every Day

Chapter 458: Chapter 394: 23 Percent Light Speed (Part 2)

Logically speaking, perception and flight speed should also be twice as much as before.

In fact, there are some discrepancies from the conjecture.

The previous guesses were completely valid until today, with no deviation.

However, some changes occurred today.

Lu Li found that when the amount of energy storage reached double the previous amount, his body seemed to undergo a small ”comprehensive evolution”.

This ”comprehensive evolution” is somewhat similar to the one before the second deep evolution, only the increase in magnitude is not as high.

Lu Li sensed that after four or five days of energy ”baptism”, the energy-formed part of his body slightly ”reverted to ancestral traits” and turned into actual matter.

However, this ”actual matter” is even stronger than the energy-formed part.

He had a feeling that even if he consolidated all his energy at this moment and let a nuclear bomb explode freely, he would not be harmed.

It was as if his body had truly become indestructible.

This made Lu Li very curious, and he mused to himself: ”According to physics, energy continually compressing can theoretically transform into matter, but it’s something theoretical that current technology struggles to achieve, yet this situation has appeared in my body? Most crucially, the intensity of those ’reverted’ materials to ancestral traits is extremely high, even stronger than my energy state!”

Suddenly, he thought of a term in physics called liquid light.

What is liquid light?

It is a special state of matter, belonging to the Bose-Einstein condensate, also known as the fifth state of matter.

Under specific conditions, light can transform into liquid light, exhibiting superfluid characteristics such as zero friction and zero viscosity.

When liquid light encounters an obstacle, it will smoothly bypass it without generating ripples or vortices.

At this time, light can compress from energy into matter, only as the fifth state of matter.

The fifth state of matter, also known as the ultra-dense state, occurs when matter is subjected to 1.4 million atmospheres of pressure, where atoms can be ”crushed”, and electrons are ”squeezed out” of atoms, forming an electron gas with naked atomic nuclei densely packed, resulting in extremely high density, which is the ultra-dense state.

According to estimates, an ultra-dense material the size of a ping pong ball may weigh more than a thousand tons.

Liquid light is not the most magical substance among ultra-dense materials.

The most magical thing among ultra-dense materials is ”nuclear pasta”.

This material theoretically exists, but has the potential to exist in Cosmic Space.

Its physical properties are derived from supercomputer simulations of situations inside Neutron Stars.

This material is believed to present in different shapes such as chunk-like, tube-like, and sheet-like.

Scientists have named them after shapes similar to pasta in Italy.

The chunk-like ones are called Italian Gnocchi, the tube-like ones Italian Pasta, and the sheet-like ones Italian Lasagna.

Nuclear pasta is located at the center of the Neutron Star’s crust, taking on an extremely dense structural form.

Its density far exceeds ordinary flour, and its hardness is a hundred billion times greater than steel.

This characteristic makes nuclear pasta one of the strangest and strongest mixtures in the Cosmos.

Lu Li felt that his current situation was somewhat like light compressed into liquid light and nuclear pasta.

However, the strength is higher than liquid light but perhaps much less than nuclear pasta.

”I always thought my body’s energy transformation was the ultimate endpoint.”

He pondered continually, ”But today I realized that transformation may only be a stage in the evolution process, and subsequently, there may be higher forms. According to the current trend, will my body one day, like nuclear pasta, become the hardest substance in the cosmos?”

Furthermore, there was another point that Lu Li found very strange.

Ultra-dense materials are often very heavy.

Like the previously mentioned ultra-dense material the size of an egg, which could weigh a thousand tons.

Nuclear pasta is even more terrifying, as scientists speculate that a sugar cube-sized piece of nuclear pasta could weigh over a billion tons.

Logically, if my body is evolving towards an ultra-dense state, its mass should become higher than before.

However, Lu Li sensed that the mass of his body seemed to have no significant difference from before.

It was as if his ultra-dense body did not increase in mass.

This matter is incredibly unbelievable.

”Perhaps it increased a bit, but since many parts of my body are energy-transformed, the mass increase isn’t very noticeable.”

Lu Li thought for a while, but still couldn’t figure it out, so he didn’t dwell on it further.

One thing he was sure of was that after the ultra-dense appearance of parts of his energy-transformed body, all aspects had greatly enhanced.

Besides the energy storage amount normally doubling with no issues, other aspects like perception and flight speed in the form of streaming light had significantly enhanced.

During Lu Li’s morning testing, he found that his perception radius had reached a terrifying 1,310,720 kilometers.

Twice what it was supposed to have increased by in theory.

It had reached four times the amount he had when he’d just completed his fifth deep evolution.

The flight speed was similar, rising from the previous 17,612.8 kilometers per second to 70,451.2 kilometers per second, which is almost less than 0.235 times the speed of light.

”My previous judgment was that with sufficient energy, I could reach 0.2 times the speed of light, but now it surpasses this speed.”

Lu Li mused, ”I think this is because the ultra-dense parts of my energy-transformed body have greatly enhanced speed.”

Of course, flying at 0.235 times the speed of light consumes a lot of energy and cannot be used as a regular method for now.

Lu Li tested it in the morning.

The speed he felt comfortable with was about 0.1 times the speed of light.

That is, 30,000 kilometers per second.

At this speed, his energy consumption is not much.

Wanting to increase flight speed beyond this, for every 5,000 kilometers added, the energy consumption doubles.

When reaching more than 70,000 kilometers per second, the energy would be exhausted within three minutes of flight.

If traveling long distances, the maximum flight speed is not as suitable as 30,000 kilometers per second.

Because at this speed, even with full stored energy, he can only fly 16.28 million kilometers.

On the contrary, flying at 30,000 kilometers per second, he doesn’t worry about running out of energy no matter how far he flies.

For example, Lu Li previously flew back to Earth from Mercury at 17,000 kilometers per second, traveling more than 90 million kilometers without feeling his energy was exhausted.

As long as his lifespan is long enough, traveling the entire universe at this speed is almost no problem.

”The extreme speed can only be used as a secondary escape measure, while daily flying, 30,000 kilometers per second is enough.”

As Lu Li felt satisfied, he also secretly sighed: ”Now my energy storage is equivalent to 0.2 of a sun. At the current rate of evolution, I think reaching 0.5 of a sun would take about fifteen days more, and by then, I’ll have the power to tackle the issue of a gamma-ray burst!”

This made his mood incredibly good, his spirits soaring to the utmost.

Lu Li had one last question, ”Since my extreme flight speed increased to over 23% of the speed of light with the emergence of ultra-dense parts in my body, could I reach light speed before the sixth deep evolution arrives?”

He thought there was such a possibility.

After all, he had already reached 23% of the speed of light now.

Additionally, he had another question.

When he reaches light speed and then evolves deeply again, what kind of super abilities will emerge to travel even faster?

Teleportation has too many limitations, requiring being within the normal perception range, and the maximum limit would exhaust all his energy, making flying more suitable for traveling.

Lu Li wondered, could it be that after the sixth deep evolution, he could perform the so-called ”wormhole jump”?

If that’s true, no matter how vast the cosmos is, he could explore it freely!
