Gene Unlocking: I Evolve Every Day

Chapter 471: Chapter 405: Incarnation Outside the Body

Lu Li was truly astonished; in just one night, his energy increased by about 25%?

Previously, his own energy was roughly equivalent to 0.2 of a sun.

Subsequent increases were between 1% and 5%.

Combined with last night’s 25% increase.

The amount of his own energy is now roughly equivalent to 0.265 of a sun.

Already more than halfway to the previously envisioned 0.5 of a sun!

Lu Li truly did not expect that the full release of power, and extracting emotional value from top-notch figures around the world like George, the Great Emperor, and Xiong Wen Si Lang, would be so effective.

In fact, he had noticed yesterday that after ”showing off,” his body secreted a large amount of ”hormones,” resulting in a significant growth, but he hadn’t expected the growth to be so substantial.

”Actually, the growth rate is within a reasonable range. Previously, I also grew by about 20% in one night.”

Lu Li pondered, ”It’s just that my current strength is relatively strong, so looking at the strength increase alone seems quite large, but the ratio hasn’t increased that much.”

He inspected his body and roughly understood why the growth rate of his strength could maintain and slightly increase.

The reason is simple: the contribution of the ”divine” gene.

This is a very peculiar gene.

It grows in proportion as his own strength increases.

Moreover, Lu Li discovered that it is not just a simple substance but is bound to his ”true self,” deeply embedded within his soul.

”It seems that when Little Golden Man was formed, it was this kind of substance...”

Lu Li carefully identified, ”The difference now is that these ’divine’ genes appear much stronger than when Little Golden Man was formed.”

He could observe from these ”divine” genes that each one could store a large amount of energy and other information, such as memory, duplication, expression, mutation, and so on.

Storing energy and memory is easy to explain; it’s nothing more than an energy bank and a memory bank.

Duplication is a bit special; Lu Li could clearly sense that even if his body were destroyed, as long as there was even the slightest existence of the ”divine gene,” it could still recreate a complete structure.

The ”Yang God” avatar, although purely an energy body, is fundamentally based on the ”divine” gene.

Therefore, Lu Li previously sensed that he might very likely be ”immortal.”

As for expression, it doesn’t refer to expressing inner thoughts; instead, it means that the ”true self” can, to a certain extent, control the secretion of the ”divine” gene to accelerate the process of self-evolution.

The hormones secreted by the body actually contain ”divine” genes.

Regarding evolution, Lu Li observed for a long time before discovering that it would automatically choose the direction of evolution based on his own environment, the subconsciousness of the ”true self,” and the pressure of the body.

”In short, my previous guess was completely correct.”

Lu Li mused, ”Whether gaining emotional value or applying pressure to the body, all would subtly allow the ’true self’ to control the ’divine’ gene, enabling continuous adjustment of the evolutionary direction.”

In other words, his evolution isn’t aimless; it changes based on his own condition.

”If I could directly control the ’divine’ gene through the ’true self,’ then I could almost decide how fast I want to evolve and in what direction.”

Thinking of this, Lu Li shook his head helplessly, ”In fact, apart from being able to control the ’Flame of the True Self’ to a very small extent, I can barely control the ’true self’ in a meaningful way.”

It felt like standing in front of a great hammer; if he could swing it, he would unleash tremendous power, but the strength was insufficient to lift the hammer.

Yes, Lu Li had a premonition that if he could become stronger, perhaps he could control the ”true self.”

As to what extent he needs to become stronger is currently unknown.

”Although I currently cannot directly control the secretion of the ’divine’ gene through the ’true self,’ I finally understand what fundamentally affects my evolution.”

A slight smile appeared on Lu Li’s face, ”In the future, if I want to know the speed and direction of my own evolution, I can observe in advance, rather than guessing blindly like before.”

This is a major discovery that could potentially influence the direction and pace of his future evolution.

”I still can’t control the ’divine’ gene, but I can control the ’Yang God’ avatar, right?”

Lu Li blinked and thought, ”I previously considered that allowing the ’Yang God’ avatar to use the super-strong properties of the ’divine’ gene to regenerate a new body is theoretically feasible, though it still requires practice.”

He decided to try whether he could condense a body identical to his own.

Once he could, he would not struggle with handling multiple matters simultaneously in the future.

Without hesitation, Lu Li established contact with ”Yang God” One, which was gathering energy in the cosmic space, and issued the order to re-condense a body.

...

In the cosmic space.

”Yang God” One was currently releasing a massive amount of energy by annihilating particles.

Suddenly, it received Lu Li’s command and ceased its current actions.

In the next moment, ”Yang God” One shone with intense golden light.

These golden lights, according to the memory of the ”divine” gene, continuously generated flesh-like substances with Lu Li’s body as the template.

The generation speed was extremely slow and consumed a tremendous amount of energy.

When ”Yang God” One had expended 15% of its usable energy, it had only generated about 7.5% of Lu Li’s body.

Far away on Earth, Lu Li sensed this and immediately controlled all avatars except for ”Yang God” Two to provide ”recharging” for ”Yang God” One.

Whenever an avatar ”recharged” ”Yang God” One with 15% energy, it would immediately leave to gather more energy.

One avatar recharging.

Three avatars recharging.

Soon, seven ”Yang God” avatars completed one round of recharging.

By this time, the proportion of the newly generated body was roughly 52.5%, and three hours had passed.

Lu Li did not feel bored at all, continuing to control the other ”Yang God” avatars to collect energy and once again ”recharge” ”Yang God” One.

The second round of recharging began.

One avatar.

Four avatars.

Quickly, they moved on to the seventh body.

The ”Yang Shen” No. 8 energy had yet to use up 15% when the new body was fully generated!

...

In the warehouse.

Lu Li, who was condensing the ”Savior” mecha, was momentarily stunned when he saw the new body completed.

Because he didn’t feel any connection with this new body.

”That’s not right.” Lu Li frowned, pondering, ”Logically, after creating a new body, I should be able to establish a connection with it, so why can’t I control it?”

He thought for a moment and understood why.

As expected, it was because the new body had no ”soul”!

Lu Li nodded slightly to himself and thought, ”I know what to do.”

Without hesitation, he allowed ”Yang Shen” No. 1 to ”dive into” the new body.

After ”Yang Shen” No. 1 entered the new body, initially, there was no connection and even some repulsion, as if that new body wanted to expel it.

However, as trace amounts of ”divine” genes from ”Yang Shen” No. 1 fused into the new body, a connection was established between the two.

Lu Li sensed a feeling like moving an arm and a finger, as if it wasn’t a new body, but his own arm, able to be controlled at will.

”Let’s see how it works.”

He tried to control the ”physical duplicate” to release its sensory perception, wanting to see if there was any difference from himself.

The ”duplicate” received the command and immediately unleashed its full sensory perception.

In an instant, Lu Li sensed the appearance of ”two perspectives”.

One was the observational perspective of his ”true self’s” powerful sensory perception, and the other was the perspective from the ”duplicate”.

Most importantly, the sensory perception range of the ”duplicate” was exactly the same as the ”true self”!

As such, sitting on Earth, Lu Li could effortlessly sense the environment in cosmic space millions of miles away.

”It works! It really works!”

Lu Li was overjoyed, ”Judging by the range of sensory perception, the power of the duplicate should match mine, which means whatever immense power I can unleash, it should too, and whatever ’superpowers’ I can use applies here as well.”

This piqued his interest, considering whether he could let this duplicate fly out of the solar system, then go all out in some uninhabited star realm to test its true power.

This thought flashed through his mind but was quickly dismissed.

The reason was simple, even if the duplicate had the identical flight speed, it couldn’t fly out of the solar system in less than three or four years.

After all, his own speed was 0.2 times the speed of light, and the radius of the solar system was over a light-year.

As for testing power within the solar system, Lu Li didn’t dare.

He’s afraid that doing so could replicate the scenario simulated in Cyberspace.

What if a gamma-ray burst doesn’t destroy solar system matter except for the sun, and that ends up being destroyed by his duplicate instead, that would be a real mess.

”Once the gamma-ray burst is addressed, I’ll either go myself or send the duplicate to an uninhabited star realm to really unleash its power.”

Lu Li thought, continuing to observe the duplicate, to see if there really was no difference from himself.

At first, apart from knowing the duplicate had no ”soul”, he noticed no real differences.

However, three to four hours later, Lu Li did notice a distinction between the duplicate and the true body.

The true body evolved every moment under the influence of the ”divine” gene, while the duplicate did not.

It seemed fixed at its current strength, without growth.

”That’s not right.” Lu Li felt puzzled, ”I previously speculated that if my true body was destroyed, I could transfer the ’true self’ to the duplicate, and then it would continue to evolve just like before. So why does it seem like it can’t now?”

Unconvinced, he attempted to transfer the ”true self” to the duplicate to see the specifics.

Something miraculous happened.

At that moment, Lu Li’s true body and duplicate were about two light-hours apart.

Logically, even if the ”Yang Shen” duplicate traveled at light speed, it would take two hours.

But just by suggesting to himself to transfer the ”true self”, he completed the swap in an instant!

The duplicate became the true body!

The previous true body became the duplicate!

Most crucially, Lu Li and ”Yang Shen” No. 1 directly swapped places.

Aside from consuming some energy, it seemed like no time was used.

The feeling was as though the ”true self” had undergone instant teleportation!

In the cosmic space, Lu Li, suspended in slight amazement, soon showed an expression of ecstatic joy, ”Given the timeless nature of ’true self’ transfer, doesn’t it mean as long as my duplicate flies far enough, I can roam the universe anytime?”

And it’s the safest way to explore the universe!

Even if the duplicate encounters some terrifying danger while exploring the universe and is destroyed, it won’t affect the real me.

And if the duplicate doesn’t encounter danger, reaching a destination, I can then switch the ”true self” over.

Isn’t that the safest way to explore the universe?

Lu Li was thrilled at this realization, never having to choose between exploring the universe and accompanying family and friends again!

Additionally, from the process of the ”true self” transfer just now, he could analyze that his ”true self” transfer was essentially a high-end version of instant teleportation.

It also utilized the two bodies as points and then overlapped, achieving direct target transfer, hence no time was wasted.

Lu Li felt a slight excitement inside, thinking this skill was terrific.

He didn’t dwell on this skill too much, as long as he understood he could use it, why bother thinking further?

Moreover, Lu Li now had more important things to do, or rather, more critical research to explore, ”Let’s see if after transferring my ’true self’, this body can evolve indefinitely like the previous ’true body’.”
