Gene Unlocking: I Evolve Every Day

Chapter 459: Chapter 395: Sixteen Directions

The significant increase in his own strength made Lu Li quite happy.

In fact, aside from the substantial increase in energy storage, perception, and flight speed, he also acquired more ”Yang God” avatars.

Previously, when his strength increased by twenty percent, he gained an additional ”Yang God” avatar, reaching a total of three.

Subsequently, with each twenty percent increase in strength, he would gain another ”Yang God” avatar.

Until today, when a certain ”qualitative change” occurred, resulting in two additional ”Yang God” avatars.

Lu Li tallied up and found that the number of ”Yang God” avatars he possessed had reached eight.

”The most important thing is that the ’Yang God’ avatars will grow along with my own strength, always maintaining a level where they can siphon off up to twenty percent of my energy,”

Lu Li pondered, ”Now that I have eight ’Yang God’ avatars, aside from ’Yang God’ number two still exploring gamma-ray bursts, the other seven can collect energy in cosmic space for me. Calculating that each provides fifteen percent of energy, the seven ’Yang God’ avatars only need to collect energy once a day to meet my daily consumption. The remaining time, they can still cooperate with ’Yang God’ number two to explore the trajectory of gamma-ray bursts.”

...

Because he learned that his own strength had greatly increased during the day, Lu Li was in a good mood. However, at night, he encountered a small trouble.

It wasn’t the issue of concentrating on creating the Mecha. Such things were no difficulty for him; from initially taking twelve hours to concentrate five hundred units, he could now concentrate two thousand units in twelve hours, without any difficulty at all.

A few days passed, and counting today’s achievement, he had already concentrated five thousand two hundred and one units.

At the current speed, reaching the previously estimated minimum of over thirty thousand units could be achieved in just a few more days.

This doesn’t even include the ”upgrades” later on, just calculations at the current speed.

Nor was it about so-called games with the high-levels of various countries.

Those people all proactively wished to visit and plead, so how could that be a problem?

The trouble Lu Li encountered was that, with increasingly abundant energy, consumption became a huge challenge.

For example, tonight he had just finished concentrating a Spaceship on the Moon, and the energy within him was still quite ample, maintaining at around fifty percent.

Moon, Antarctica.

Gazing at the twenty-some large Spaceships.

Lu Li furrowed his brows, contemplating, ”So many Spaceships are not only enough for me to take people away from Earth, but there’s also a bunch of extras. Further concentration would be meaningless.”

So how should he continue to massively expend energy to strengthen himself?

After some contemplation, he immediately came up with a corresponding solution.

It’s really simple to massively consume energy; it’s like spending money, who wouldn’t know how to spend more money?

Lu Li mused, ”My current biggest methods of consuming energy are twofold. First, teleportation, which can deplete my energy instantly. Second, simulating and deducing the future situations, where the degree of energy consumption can be within my control, deciding how much energy to spend until the simulation ends.”

Consuming energy to the limit with teleportation isn’t very reliable.

Who knows if depletion might lead to some danger?

There’s no such concern with simulating and deducing future situations.

He can consume as much energy as he wants.

Perfect for the current situation.

Lu Li then prepared to simulate and deduce the situation 28 days later.

Suddenly, he thought of something, ”Hey, besides normal deductions, can I include some set scenarios, like the ’Savior’ Mecha, and myself equivalent to half a sun at that time?”

Separate deductions were tried.

Separate simulations were tried.

Combining both, he had never tried.

Lu Li thought it worth a try.

For example, simulating the arrival of a gamma-ray burst to see if he and over thirty thousand ’Savior’ Mecha can withstand it as previously estimated.

With that thought, he began the simulation deduction.

In the deduction, days passed by one after another.

One day.

Eight days.

Sixteen days.

Twenty-seven days went by, and Earth remained calm.

At the 28th day of deduction, Lu Li remembered an hour past in the simulation when the gamma-ray burst would come.

At that moment, he didn’t continue straightaway, but tried incorporating over thirty thousand ’Savior’ Mecha, and using his current strength as a blueprint, simulate himself having the power of 0.5 suns.

Trying this for the first time, Lu Li really didn’t know if it would succeed.

However, when he attempted to include the simulation in future deducing, he found the energy consumption becoming significantly intense.

If the energy consumption of deduction and simulation separately was one, then their combined energy consumption was not just the sum of the two, but reached around three or four.

Despite the significant increase in energy consumption, Lu Li was pleased.

Because he perceived that his conjectured method could work!

In other words, he could introduce ”variables” during future deductions!

This made Lu Li feel very good.

In this way, he could know whether the previously predicted conclusion was correct.

After adding his own ”settings” into the equation, he projected the timeline to the eve of the gamma-ray burst’s arrival.

Immediately, in the simulation, Lu Li and over thirty thousand ”Savior” Mechas flew into cosmic space, intending to release photon energy to stop the power of the gamma-ray burst.

A terrible thing happened.

In the projection, although Lu Li detected the incoming gamma-ray burst in advance, apart from him managing to absorb a portion of the energy, the ”Savior” Mechas couldn’t react in time, allowing the remainder of the gamma-ray burst’s power to pierce through Earth.

The most crucial issue was that even at half a solar capacity, he couldn’t theoretically absorb that much energy!

Ultimately, eighty percent of the gamma-ray burst’s energy pierced through Earth, leading to the extinction of species.

”The ’Savior’ Mechas aren’t unable to release the photon energy cannon in time, but they cannot precisely calibrate the waveform to counter the energy of a gamma-ray burst traveling at three hundred thousand kilometers per second.”

As he concluded the simulation, Lu Li couldn’t help furrowing his brow, ”According to my current foundation, at half a solar capacity, I can detect the gamma-ray burst approximately twelve seconds in advance, and it takes me thirty seconds from detection to calculate its waveform. In this manner, the ’Savior’ Mechas become ornamental, unable to adjust the photon energy waveform in time.”

Unless I could observe the gamma-ray burst one minute in advance.

Then calculate its waveform from an ultra-long distance, that’s the only way the ”Savior” Mechas might withstand a portion of the power.

”Observing one minute in advance is easier said than done. Based on my current strength, at half a solar capacity, my sensory coverage is only slightly over three million kilometers, which means I can only detect the gamma-ray burst about twelve seconds in advance.”

Lu Li pondered, ”If I could know the trajectory of the gamma-ray burst in advance, I might be able to use a method of infinitely extending energy to increase sensory distance, allowing me to sense the gamma-ray burst one minute or even more time in advance.”

This method doesn’t seem very practical either.

Because the area covered by the gamma-ray burst is simply too vast.

At its arrival, it seemed to light up the entire solar system.

How could I predict its movement trajectory in advance?

Take the case of ”Solar God” No. 2; it explored for several days and found nothing related to the gamma-ray burst.

Not only did ”Solar God” No. 2 fail to find the gamma-ray burst’s trajectory, the remaining seven ”Solar God” avatars also explored during their free time and couldn’t find a single trace.

The trouble Lu Li faced extended far beyond the ”Savior” Mechas being unable to adjust the photon energy waveform in time; in the simulated state, he couldn’t absorb more than half of the theoretical energy of the gamma-ray burst in an instant. Even with eight ”Solar God” avatars, the energy absorbed was only twenty percent.

This differs greatly from the initial estimates.

The reason for this is still the previous problem.

Not being able to know the trajectory of the gamma-ray burst in advance means that I cannot absorb its energy in the mere moments before it reaches Earth.

”According to the simulation, I need to know the gamma-ray burst’s trajectory about five minutes in advance; only then might I reach it in time to absorb its energy within cosmic space.”

Lu Li’s calculation concluded that if sensing it before five minutes was not achieved, the destruction of Earth was inevitable.

”It’s unfortunate. Based on my simulation, there’s no way I could detect the gamma-ray burst’s arrival five minutes in advance.”

Lu Li was shaking his head in helplessness.

Suddenly, he blinked and pondered, ”Since I can include my own ’settings’ in the simulation, what if I imagine calculating the trajectory of the gamma-ray burst instead?”

If that’s possible, then never mind five minutes; knowing even a day or ten days in advance wouldn’t be impossible!

If he could truly simulate the trajectory of the gamma-ray burst’s movement, he could completely let several ”Solar God” avatars and ”Savior” Mechas strike first, instead of being forced into passive defense!

”Let’s give it a try!”

Lu Li attempted the simulation once more.

Energy instantly enveloped and touched surrounding particles, starting the simulation of future scenarios.

Three days.

Ten days.

Twenty-eight days passed quickly.

This time, Lu Li didn’t ”pause” the simulation before the gamma-ray burst arrived.

He waited until the gamma-ray burst had arrived before ”pausing” to start simulating the trajectory of the incoming gamma-ray burst.

Initially, the simulation was going relatively smoothly, and within the three million kilometer range of his half solar perception, he could explore the gamma-ray burst’s trajectory clearly as if it was shooting from the direction of the Sun.

However, beyond this distance, the simulation dramatically increased energy consumption while only providing several vague outcomes, not a precise answer.

Lu Li could deduce from the simulation that the gamma-ray burst might attack from sixteen directions.

Originally, he wanted to speed up the simulation to see if he could find the final answer.

Unfortunately, the energy was exhausted all at once, forcing him to interrupt the simulation.

Despite not successfully simulating the true trajectory of the gamma-ray burst today, Lu Li still felt somewhat elated because he at least identified the ”loophole” in his earlier assumption and the sixteen possible directions from which the gamma-ray burst might strike.

”The most important thing is, as long as I have enough energy, running simulations daily could allow me to calculate the true incoming direction of the gamma-ray burst!”

Lu Li appeared somewhat excited, ”Then, over the next period, I just need to keep running simulations consistently, and I will certainly know the direction of the gamma-ray burst in advance and simulate how to solve this problem!”

Good!

Absolutely wonderful!

With the growth of my strength and the substantial increase in calculation ability, simulations can refine the hypothesis I proposed earlier.

Although Lu Li had originally thought of a way to deal with the gamma-ray burst, he was not quite confident; this simulation today gave him a certain degree of confidence!
