Gene Unlocking: I Evolve Every Day

Chapter 9: Chapter 9: Cheating

In the general manager’s office.

President Liu lowered her head, ready to continue working.

Suddenly, she caught sight of Lu Li sitting there, completely still.

President Liu couldn’t help but raise her head again, frowning as she said, ”Do you have anything else?”

Ever since he realized his gene lock was unlocked, Lu Li didn’t think much of this job, he just temporarily needed it.

Furthermore, he didn’t want to be used as a tool for establishing authority.

Thinking of this, Lu Li calmly said, ”President Liu, I just thought about the future development of the e-commerce sales department.”

President Liu’s frown deepened.

As Lu Li had guessed, her earlier speech was indeed just to show some warmth while establishing authority.

Otherwise, with her status, how could she possibly fire an employee and still meet them in person for a brief chat?

The HR department could handle this kind of thing.

Now hearing Lu Li’s words, President Liu was naturally dissatisfied inside.

However, she didn’t show it, and just said blandly, ”Okay, tell me.”

Lu Li didn’t waste words, directly modifying the phrasing in President Liu’s draft slightly and said, ”I personally believe that the development trend of the e-commerce sales industry can be divided into three parts.”

President Liu pinched her pen and looked at him, making no sound.

Lu Li continued, ”These three parts are mobile e-commerce, social e-commerce, and cross-border e-commerce.”

President Liu responded with an ”Hmm,” ”Tell me in more detail.”

Lu Li said, ”With the popularization of smartphones and the development of the mobile internet, mobile e-commerce is rapidly rising. In the future, mobile e-commerce will become the mainstream trend in the e-commerce sales industry. The popularization of social media provides a new channel for e-commerce sales; through social media platforms, consumers can purchase goods more conveniently. Additionally, with the acceleration of globalization, cross-border e-commerce is becoming a new hot spot in the e-commerce sales industry. Through cross-border e-commerce platforms, products can be sold worldwide.”

His analysis in these areas was very thorough.

Even if she was thinking of using Lu Li to establish authority, President Liu showed a hint of interest upon hearing this, ”What else?”

Lu Li licked his lips and said, ”Doing e-commerce definitely needs to demonstrate professionalism, such as market analysis. Before entering the e-commerce sales industry, we need to conduct thorough market research to understand industry trends, competitors, and target customer needs, providing strong support for the company’s product sales plans. Product selection is also very important, not all of the company’s products are suitable for e-commerce channels. I think it’s necessary to choose products and services with potential based on market analysis results to invest in the e-commerce sales channel to meet customers’ just needs.”

Initially, President Liu only had a slight interest.

But the content Lu Li talked about resonated with her.

President Liu’s eyes became bright, ”Continue.”

”Marketing strategy!” Lu Li snapped his fingers, ”Developing an effective marketing strategy is an important part of e-commerce entrepreneurship. We can improve brand awareness and attract more potential customers through methods such as search engine optimization, social media promotion, and content marketing.”

This viewpoint coincided with President Liu’s!

Her gaze towards Lu Li suddenly became somewhat passionate.

Lu Li continued confidently, ”Another point is customer service. Quality customer service is one of the key factors for success in e-commerce. We need to establish a sound customer service system, provide timely and professional service support, and improve customer satisfaction and loyalty.”

Afterwards, he also talked about aspects like ”brand marketing,” ”resource integration,” and ”team building.”

Each point made President Liu nod repeatedly.

After a while, Lu Li felt a bit parched and paused briefly.

President Liu seized the opportunity to directly ask the main question, ”Then what do you think your department should urgently do now?”

In fact, by this point, Lu Li had basically covered most of the content on the other side of the white paper.

If he had to continue speaking, he feared he might soon get exposed.

Fortunately, at the bottom of the document, Lu Li saw a key piece of information.

He immediately answered, ”President Liu, our company is involved in multi-channel sales, like on platforms such as Taobao, JD.com, and Pinduoduo, so we’re not really lacking in sales channels. The biggest issue now is how to expand brand influence to attract more customers.”

President Liu thought the same.

Her gaze towards Lu Li became one of appreciating talent, ”How do you think the company should expand its brand influence?”

Lu Li said, ”Things like optimizing outlet layouts and improving product display quality are ongoing; there’s not much to say about that. The basic publicity is quite in place. Now, to expand brand influence, we need to take alternative paths, such as... live-streaming sales!”

This is actually one of President Liu’s core ideas regarding operating the company!

She never expected that Lu Li would speak directly to her heart.

At this moment, President Liu found Lu Li extremely likeable.

Her tone even carried a hint of consultation, ”If I asked you to take charge of live-streaming sales, how would you do it?”

Those previous points were already all Lu Li could see from the document.

Now, to answer this question, Lu Li had to rely on himself.

Fortunately, he is a script editor and knows quite a lot about this area.

Lu Li organized his thoughts and said, ”As for live-streaming sales, in my personal thoughts, it should be divided into three parts: pre-live-stream preparations, things to pay attention to during live-streaming, and follow-up after the live-stream...”

”I’m not talking about the live-stream itself.” President Liu interrupted, ”I mean, if you were in charge of the company’s live-stream sales, what work would you prepare to do?”

This question left Lu Li a bit unsure of how to answer.

He thought about it and could only rely on experience, ”Roughly divided into two parts.”

President Liu said, ”Go on.”

Lu Li took a deep breath, ”First, cooperate with excellent live-stream sales companies, like Three-headed Bull, Zhang Qiqi, etc. They already have huge traffic. If they help the company with sales, I believe there won’t be any issue in sales, and it could also increase brand awareness.”

President Liu nodded slightly. Although this didn’t quite strike a chord with her, it indeed fit with the current development of the company’s e-commerce department.

Lu Li said, ”Secondly, we create our own live-stream room and, for the time being, hire some skilled live-stream sellers to maintain the live-stream traffic. During this period, we can also cultivate some of our own streamers, for example, recruiting some handsome men and beautiful women, letting them learn from the high-paid hired streamers for a period. Then, at certain times, let these new streamers try hosting live-stream sales on their own. Of course, one point is important here, the live-stream needs to have gimmicks. It can’t be just rigid selling, as that won’t attract customers. So, the script is vital.”

The last sentence was him speaking for himself.

After all, he’s a script editor and writes about this area.

President Liu was very smart, otherwise, she wouldn’t have been dispatched by Liu Group to manage the company.

Of course, she could hear the subtleties in Lu Li’s words.

If she had heard these words earlier, she might have considered firing Lu Li for setting an example.

But after hearing Lu Li’s analysis, which coincided almost perfectly with her own thoughts,

President Liu knew that this handsome young man in front of her did have some skills.

At least, in the e-commerce sales department, Lu Li’s abilities were adequate, not just in script editing.

Thinking of this, President Liu began to appreciate Lu Li a bit.

She slowly opened her mouth and said, ”I personally think your opinions are quite good.”

Lu Li modestly said, ”You flatter me.”

President Liu blinked and said, ”Do you... still want to work here?”

Lu Li hesitated for a moment, ”I can still work here?”

For the first time, President Liu smiled, ”Of course you can.”

You wanted to use me as a tool for establishing authority just now.

Now that you see I have some skills, you want me to stay?

Lu Li could certainly guess President Liu’s thoughts.

His slightly stubborn temperament surfaced, and he calmly looked at her and said, ”President Liu, I’m sorry, please go ahead and fire me.”

”Huh?” President Liu was taken aback, ”Why?”

She seemed never to have imagined that not only did Lu Li have no joy at keeping his job but surprisingly, after answering fluently and gaining her appreciation, he actually requested to be fired. This left her extremely puzzled.

Lu Li said blandly, ”No particular reason, President Liu, since you just said that the company’s rules and regulations come first, if I’m not fired today, people below won’t respect you, so I also don’t want to make it difficult for you. Firing me is the best.”

You want to fire me and just fire me?

Don’t want me to leave and just don’t let me go?

Ha, I just won’t let you have your way!

Lu Li answered so many questions from Liu Kexin not to hold onto the job for survival but to let the other party know that he is not someone who can be easily manipulated!

Now that the purpose has been achieved, he certainly doesn’t want to be under someone else’s roof.

Liu Kexin seemed not to expect Lu Li to use these words to retort against her.

In an instant, her eyes squinted slightly, but she immediately smiled and said in a negotiating tone, ”Lu Li, I won’t fire you and want to promote you instead, so how about you stay and work?”
