Destined Entwining: Capturing My Devoted Beau

Chapter 242: Chapter 136: I’m Your Little Blue Darling (First Update)

Absolutely shameless!

He even thought about making up some gossip about Lucas Harlow when he got back, and if he didn’t drive him out of the entertainment industry, he wouldn’t be called Kenneth!

So arrogant, daring to secretly hit on his people!

And Lucas Harlow actually regretted it right after he said that, he wasn’t usually this reckless...

How could he just have lectured Edward Foster, and then turn around and do the same thing to Lawrence Winters?

Had he become like the person he disliked (referring to that fool Edward Foster)?

Lucas Harlow was so embarrassed he almost hung up the phone.

But he considered that hanging up would change the nature of the call, making a joke seem real; it was better to keep the call going, even reluctantly.

However, when he heard Lawrence Winters’ response, the weight lifted off his heart in an instant.

He silently praised Lawrence’s reaction, relaxed, and laughed, saying, ”Sure, but the other side will say I’m ’flirting with fans,’ hang me up for it, and scold me three meals a day. Would you be okay with that?”

”Not okay! Not okay! Of course not okay!” Lawrence Winters shook his head like a rattle, just thinking about Lucas Harlow being criticized in the fan clubs made her heartache, ”Then don’t say it, and I won’t record. But what’s wrong with ’flirting with fans’? Those people are purely jealous! —— Because their idol doesn’t care about them, doesn’t flatter them, gives them no perks at all!”

”If my idol doesn’t ’flirt with fans,’ I’d definitely jump ship.” Lawrence Winters vowed.

Like a heartless girl constantly brainwashing her man: ... To get by in life, you need to have a bit of green.

Lucas Harlow: ”...”

He felt something was off, but he returned to normal and said earnestly, ”Don’t jump ship, I’ll always give you perks, and be a ’fan-flattering’ idol.”

”Good, that’s right. Oh my, I’m really so happy! How can you be so charming?! In the future, when you act in idol dramas, you should be just as charming! Remember that!”

”When you say things like this to the female lead, there won’t be any female audience that can resist your charm, I’m telling you! —— You must remember this state and feeling, I want to see your performance on the screen!”

As Lawrence Winters spoke, she seemed to transform into a producer and director, giving Lucas Harlow acting tips.

Lucas Harlow: ”...”

He realized that talking to this girl left no room for any amorous feelings.

Because she would definitely steer your romantic thoughts to an unfathomable angle.

But on another thought, such a strong-minded girl was rare among her peers.

With such a girl, he didn’t need to worry that she would be whisked away by that playboy Edward Foster, who liked mingling with young celebrities.

After Lawrence finished her chatter, Lucas said, ”I’ve got it, I think you could be my agent. How about this, once you’re employed, I’ll ask Little Edward to let you be my agent, okay?”

Lawrence Winters gasped, ”Me, your agent? But I don’t know anything about being an agent...”

”Being an agent isn’t some high and mighty profession. You graduated from the Public Relations Department of Yanda, you’d definitely be good at it. Plus, the spokesperson for NewHuman Corporation is usually quite free, not something happening every day. As my agent, not only would you get a double salary, but also a commission.” Lucas Harlow got an idea and changed his pitch.

This was precisely Lawrence Winters’ favorite approach!

Her eyes lit up, and her voice trembled audibly, ”Really double salary, plus commission?!”

”Of course, my current agent gets a fifteen percent commission from my earnings. If you become my agent, I’ll give you a twenty percent commission.”

Upon hearing this, Lawrence Winters’ mind buzzed, and she couldn’t help but chant, ”I’m rich, I’m rich, I’m rich! Damn! Am I dreaming?!”

On the other side, Lucas Harlow, hearing her muttering, was taken aback but soon understood, and couldn’t help but smile with bent eyes.

Never thought Lawrence could be such a little miser!

Quite amusing...

It seemed his ploy worked particularly well.

Got it.

Indeed, Lawrence Winters was excited for just a second before agreeing, ”Alright, once I start, I’ll also be your agent! Remember, you owe me a twenty percent commission! One percent less and I’ll unfollow and roast you!”

Lucas Harlow teased with amusement, ”... Do you really have to be so ruthless? Just now you were calling me ’Blue Baby,’ and now you want to unfollow and roast me.”

”What do you think? No time for feelings now, feelings hurt money!” Lawrence Winters’ foggy mind suddenly cleared, even her gaze sharpened.

”Hmm, I got it.” Lucas Harlow felt overjoyed, dispelling days of anxiety, ”... Didn’t expect Lawrence of great fame to be my happy potion, you must take responsibility if I’m ever in a bad mood.”

”No problem, no problem. It’s no big deal, when I act as your agent, I promise you’ll be smiling and money will roll in every day!”

Lawrence Winters even pumped her fist, looking full of spirit.

Kenneth Osborne, hearing this, couldn’t help but roll his eyes.

Okay, Lawrence Winters is equally ”oblivious” to all men with potential.

And he should be the one closest to her.

If it weren’t for him, this girl would be an old maid for sure.

While Kenneth Osborne cynically thought this, the arc of his lips returned to a smooth line, no longer tight and tense.

He thought about it, pretended he just arrived, lightly coughed, emerged from the corner, and said, ”Nora, what are you doing hiding here? —— I’ve been looking for you everywhere.”

Lawrence Winters almost reflexively hung up Lucas Harlow’s call, immediately straightened up, and forced a smile, ”Nothing... nothing much.”
