Destined Entwining: Capturing My Devoted Beau

Chapter 238: Chapter 134: If You Want It, It’s Yours

Soon, her tweet also trended, matching the popularity of the Spencer Group’s live stream tweet.

Justus Spencer saw the tweet, completely furious.

Their press conference was over, and now the family was in Cameron Spencer’s extended Rolls-Royce, ready to go home.

Holding his phone, he frowned and said to Cameron Spencer, ”Dad, what’s up with the Foster Consortium? Do they need to step on us in everything?!”

Cameron Spencer turned his head to glance at his phone and asked, ”What’s wrong? Is this NewHuman Corporation related to the Foster Clan?”

”This is the entertainment company under the Foster Clan, specializing in promoting small celebrities.” Justus Spencer said disdainfully, ”Only daring to play such side games without using the Foster Clan’s official social media account, I look down on them!”

Cameron Spencer took out his phone and looked at Twitter for a while. Suddenly, he asked, ”Who is the spokesperson for NewHuman Entertainment Ltd.? Why does it vaguely ring a bell?”

He would naturally find it familiar because his secretary mentioned it to him. It was about Lawrence Winters, a senior public relations major from Yan University once messed up by their company’s PR department. Apparently, she was recruited by NewHuman Entertainment Ltd. as their spokesperson.

Summer Spencer’s heart skipped a beat upon hearing about the position, but she didn’t dare to speak.

She looked up at her angry older brother Justus Spencer and then at her silent older sister Spring Spencer, hesitatingly she said, ”...Um, Lawrence from Yan U just graduated and hasn’t started the job yet, so perhaps it’s not her?”

”Are you saying NewHuman’s spokesperson is Lawrence Winters? The Yan University girl you guys humiliated during the interview?” Cameron Spencer said coldly, ”Fine, it seems this matter isn’t over yet. Your trust fund will have to continue paying.”

”Why?!” Summer Spencer cried in panic, ”No! It’s definitely not Lawrence Winters! She hasn’t started working yet! It’s impossible she’d use NewHuman Entertainment Ltd.’s official account!”

She looked toward Justus Spencer for help.

Justus Spencer rubbed his brows, trying to help her, ”Dad, I also think it has nothing to do with that girl. It must be Edward that wastrel of the Foster Clan trying to disgust us. — It’s not the first time the Foster Clan has intentionally embarrassed us. Dad, will you keep enduring?”

Justus Spencer wasn’t sure why the Foster Consortium kept troubling them, but Spring Spencer knew. Her mother, Ava Harlow’s family was quite skilled, having investigated Cameron Spencer’s history, knowing a bit about past events.

Yet, Spring Spencer wouldn’t say anything, just feigned ignorance.

Cameron Spencer quickly scanned the three faces in the car and saw their confused expressions. He said indifferently, ”Business involves competition. Back in the day, our Spencer Family did snatch some deals from the Foster Family, so I’ve been enduring it over the years and sometimes helped the Foster Family.”

Justus Spencer frowned and said, ”No wonder you retreated in several bids, ultimately letting the Foster Consortium win.”

”Aren’t they being ungrateful?” Summer Spencer exploded, ”Even if we took their business back then, it’s been enough over the years! — Dad, will you keep enduring?!”

”Business should rely on skills. If they lost to us, how can it be snatching?” Spring Spencer was also puzzled, ”Dad, you’re just too kind-hearted...”

Cameron Spencer loved listening to Spring Spencer, which comforted him greatly.

He smiled at Spring Spencer, shaking his head, ”You’re still young, you don’t understand forgiveness, being kind leads to harmony, generating wealth. Let it go, the Foster Family won’t dare go overboard. Today, we entered the artificial intelligence field, their bitterness towards us is understandable.”

”Just let them off like that?” Summer Spencer was puzzled, looking at Justus Spencer who shook his head slightly, then turned her gaze to Spring Spencer’s face.

Spring Spencer, appearing tired, supported her head on her arm against the window, showing no intention to speak.

She had to ask Cameron Spencer actively, ”Dad, this isn’t my fault, right?”

Cameron Spencer smiled and tapped her forehead, ”You love to act coquettish. It’s not your fault this time. Anyway, shouldn’t our Spencer Group set up an entertainment company as well? I heard the returns on investment in the film industry are great?”

Summer Spencer’s eyes widened with surprise and delight, ”Dad, haven’t you always said you’re not interested in the entertainment industry? Didn’t want to invest in films?!”

Her first suggestion after returning from studying abroad was to invest in films, but her dad rejected it, saying they deal in real estate, not fringe businesses.

In ancient times, artists, like gambling operations, were considered fringe businesses.

Cameron Spencer chuckled, ”Times have changed. Now it seems our Spencer Group should have its own entertainment company.”

Justus Spencer and Spring Spencer exchanged glances then looked away.

They both understood that Cameron Spencer was truly angry, planning to start a feud with the Foster Consortium.

Cameron Spencer could tell what his children were thinking with a glance at their faces.

The eldest son and daughter understood, only the second daughter was slightly less perceptive.

But not every child needs to be overly smart, each has their own strengths.

Cameron Spencer said to Summer Spencer, ”Stop handling the Human Resources and PR departments for now. I’ll have Justus find new directors for those departments.”

”Once our new entertainment company’s formalities are completed, you’ll take charge of it as president, running this company well.”

”Great! Awesome! Dad, I love you so much!” Summer Spencer cheered, hugging Cameron Spencer and kissing him on the cheek.

”You’re like a child, behaving like a child despite your age.” Cameron Spencer laughed, patting her shoulder, ”Work well. When you achieve results, I’ll give you a large share of the new entertainment company’s equity to compensate your trust fund losses.”

Summer Spencer was so happy she was nearly fainting, acting affectionately in front of Cameron Spencer.

Justus Spencer and Spring Spencer watched with amusement and a chill.

The father remained the father, kicking Summer Spencer out of the Spencer Group’s core with a few words.

The Spencer Group’s HR director’s position, how is it comparable to a newly established entertainment company?

...

Meanwhile, in the Foster Consortium’s meeting room, smoke swirled around as board members and high executives continued their meeting.

They had all just watched tonight’s Spencer Group press conference together.

Knowing your enemy helps you win every battle.

But they didn’t expect that on a night belonging to the Spencer Group, they would also find a place.

”... Who is the spokesperson for NewHuman Entertainment Ltd.? Who instructed him to post this tweet?” A director asked coldly, ”Last time, young Mr. Foster publicly tweeted to poach talent, but this was just a fresh graduate female student, the Spencer Group wouldn’t have taken it to heart.”

”What’s going on this time? On their liveliest night, you all undermined? How many times have I said, don’t repeatedly go against the Spencer Group. Don’t you understand leaving room in dealings leaves room for future encounters?”
