Destined Entwining: Capturing My Devoted Beau

Chapter 236: Chapter 133: Can’t Stand Not Fighting Back Siji (Part 2)

Of course, next to Kenneth Osborne.

Francis Johnson nodded with a smile and had Kenneth Osborne introduce everyone again.

Francis Johnson said, ”Let’s order more dishes. This one’s on me today.”

Lawrence Winters, Billion Sister, and Crazy Sister were more than happy to oblige, cheerfully toasting him, and called the waiter to turn on the big TV on the wall in the private room. They planned to sing KTV there later.

As it turned out, they turned on the TV and saw that what was happening on Weibo had already made it to television.

Almost all the TV stations were now broadcasting a live stream from Douyin.

The content of the live stream was precisely the Spencer Group’s press conference tonight.

”Are they unhappy that Far Promise snatched away the credit for their manipulative tactics?” Lawrence Winters asked curiously.

The Spencer Group was indeed unsatisfied.

They worked hard on this press conference to rekindle the Spencer Group’s national reputation and signal to those shorting the Spencer Group in the capital markets to retreat before they met their doom!

To trend on social media and ”go viral,” the Spencer Group’s PR department organized quite a few cyber troopers to fan the flames.

Their popularity was genuine, but it was also the result of the cyber troopers’ silent push.

However, SSA Private Equity and AI Vision Promise were different. They hit the trending list genuinely with their strength, making their reach several orders of magnitude higher than the Spencer Group’s.

Cameron Spencer watched the changes on Weibo’s trending topics, his expression a bit chilly.

Justus Spencer immediately stepped forward to announce they had a backup plan.

The backup plan was to start a live broadcast, with Thomas Stewart speaking directly to the national audience, using a simultaneous translation system, allowing those who couldn’t understand English to choose the translation.

Soon, Weibo’s popularity dropped as people’s attention was drawn to the Spencer Group’s live broadcast.

Even the TV stations quickly purchased broadcast rights from the live platform to start live streaming synchronously.

The Spencer Group chose specialized live streaming software, Douyin, instead of Weibo.

Thomas’s demeanor was charming; although in his fifties, his silver hair was very striking.

His silver hair wasn’t due to aging but was instead a result of congenital lack of melanin, giving him that hair color since birth.

His pupils were a deep blue, akin to the sky and sea, with deep set features. His eye sockets were hollow, and there was a small, charming dimple on his chin.

When he started speaking, his pure Oxford accent and slightly magnetic, deep voice coming from his chest cavity gained high favor.

”Ladies and gentlemen, hello.

I’m honored to join the Spencer Group and be part of their newly established ’Victory Wise’ AI company.

Since I was young, I’ve dreamed of talking to my watch, talking to my computer, and even to my furniture, my walls. —Note, I’m not talking about Apple’s Siri, Amazon’s Echo, or Google’s Alexa here.”

At this point, everyone laughed.

Apple’s Siri, Amazon’s Echo, and Google’s Alexa are now relatively well-known as the three major intelligent voice systems, considered entry-level artificial intelligence.

He waited for everyone to finish laughing, then said, ”What I want is to truly converse with them, tell them what I want, tell them the problems I face, tell them we need their help.”

”Human bodies and brains have many limitations, but what distinguishes humans from other creatures is humans have unlimited creativity.”

”With that creativity, we can create intelligent agents that can converse with us as equals, like the Creator.”

”When that time comes, humans won’t be lonely anymore, having their true friends, and human life will be more beautiful!”

After he finished, thunderous applause erupted at the meeting venue.

Justus Spencer immediately added, ”Our Spencer Group is grateful to have reached a cooperation agreement with Mr. Stewart. Mr. Stewart is the world’s most famous father of AI, holding multiple patents that can immediately enter the experimental production stage. Moreover, Mr. Stewart has pending research topics to be developed by the Victory Wise Corporation.”

”Our Spencer Group will make every effort to support Victory Wise, guiding them to produce the most advanced, convenient, and economical products to market, bringing earth-shattering changes to everyone’s life!”

”To date, our Spencer Group has a fifty-year history. We’ve weathered countless storms, and despite huge waves, they never toppled us; instead, they nudged us towards glory step by step!”

”The most important factor in maintaining Spencer Group’s strength is innovation capability!”

”Let’s work together! Let’s make Spencer Group great again!”

This highly provocative language and posture quickly ignited the enthusiasm of everyone in the conference hall.

The people of the Spencer Group cheered together, ”Make Spencer Group great again! Make Spencer Group great again!”

Meanwhile, that live broadcast video quickly spread on Weibo.

Seeing their popularity rising again.

The atmosphere in the private room turned cold accordingly.

Everyone looked at each other, finally focusing their gaze interchangeably on Francis Johnson and Kenneth Osborne.

Francis Johnson asked Kenneth Osborne, ”Do you want me to help you again?”

Kenneth Osborne shook his head, calmly said, ”No need, true development in the future can’t be solved with press conferences alone. —Whether it’s real gold or brass, only fire can test.”

”Okay, I believe in you.” Francis Johnson patted his shoulder, smiled, and said, ”I admire that kind of attitude, not happy with external things, not sad with oneself, only those who calm down can achieve great things.”

Although Francis Johnson said so, others in the private room also felt it was quite reasonable, but Lawrence Winters alone was uneasy.

She could turn three parts nonsense into eight parts truth, Nick Zeller had once given her a foreign nickname: ”Sister Can’t Be Comfortable Without Retaliation.”

Watching Spencer Group stir up one revelry after another on Weibo, repeatedly stepping on AI Vision Promise, she genuinely couldn’t accept it.

She didn’t oppose competition, but she couldn’t agree with competing by stepping on others.

The tweets on her phone, praising Thomas Stewart as the ”Father of AI,” looked uncomfortable no matter how she viewed them.

At this moment, an idea flashed through her mind, suddenly she remembered a global sensation from a few years ago.

In a hurry, she didn’t have time to register a new account, nor did she use her alias ”Lawrence Mighty,” but used the official blog for her upcoming job, and posted this message.

[NewHuman Entertainment Company Spokesperson]: While everyone celebrates the ’Father of AI,’ I thought people were referring to ’Paul Sterling’ the academician. Have you forgotten the globally rampant ’Your Life’ large game that claimed tens of thousands of lives? —Preceded by brilliant works, and yet people think what Mr. Stewart did is ’unprecedented?’??? @Spencer Group, @Victory Wise Corporation, @AI Vision Promise, @SSA Private Equity Fund.
