Destined Entwining: Capturing My Devoted Beau

Chapter 206: Chapter 120: Nice to Meet You, Please Take Care of Me (Second Update, Extended Chapter)_2

But a few words from Lawrence Winters made him suddenly feel a need he never had before.

Kenneth Osborne gritted his teeth, shifted uncomfortably, and said, ”Where did you learn all this charming talk? Come down quickly, aren’t we going car shopping today? If I buy one you hate, you’re going to nag me to death later.”

Lawrence Winters wondered, ”It’s your car, even if I don’t like it, I wouldn’t nag you to death, right?”

”It’s my car, but won’t you be riding in it often? You might even want to borrow it to drive. If you don’t like it, won’t you just keep complaining?”

Lawrence Winters: ”...”

”Alright, you win. I’m coming down.” She checked her phone, ”Give me fifteen minutes, I need to take a shower.”

Kenneth Osborne glanced at the breakfast in his hand and said, ”Come down and get your breakfast first, eat it and then come with me. Don’t shower, I don’t mind if you’re not fresh.”

”Pfft! I don’t mind if you’re not fresh! This fairy wouldn’t be dirty even after a month without a shower! I’ve got a self-cleaning function!” Lawrence Winters had showered before bed last night. A morning shower was just to refresh, so she could skip it.

Hearing that Kenneth Osborne had brought her breakfast, she immediately perked up, jumped down from her bunk, quickly tidied her hair, and went down with just a windbreaker thrown on.

Kenneth Osborne saw her and handed her breakfast with a smile, ”Eat slowly, don’t choke.”

Lawrence Winters walked a few steps with her breakfast, then turned back and said, ”Do you want to wait in our dorm for a bit? No one else is there, the wild one and the three-billion girl aren’t around.”

Kenneth Osborne glanced at his watch, ”Better not, it’s inconvenient for me to go up to your girls’ dormitory.”

”Alright then, I’ll eat quickly,” Lawrence Winters bounced upstairs, finishing her breakfast in just five minutes.

Another five minutes to wash her face, comb her hair, and apply face cream and sunscreen, then she changed clothes, grabbed her small bag, and went downstairs.

By the time she came down, Kenneth Osborne was still on his call.

Lawrence Winters quietly stood by, looking down at the ground, occasionally kicking small stones with her foot.

After Kenneth Osborne finished the call, he saw her rare docile expression, pinching her cheek with a smile, ”That was quick!”

Lawrence Winters turned her head away and curiously asked, ”Who were you calling so early in the morning?”

”My very first investor,” Kenneth Osborne replied with a smile, ”He’s free today and heard I’m going car shopping, so he wants to treat me to a meal.”

Lawrence Winters exclaimed, a bit disappointed, ”Am I delaying your important business then? Maybe I shouldn’t go; you go choose and send me the model and color later.”

”No worries, I told him you’re coming too. He said it’s fine; he actually wants to meet you.”

Lawrence Winters: ”...Why does he want to meet me? Maybe I should start a small company and see if I can squeeze some money out of him?”

”You can try. After all, you are someone with a family business.” Kenneth Osborne smiled slightly, saying casually.

Lawrence Winters’ heart skipped a beat, feeling oddly familiar with his comment.

She suspiciously looked at Kenneth Osborne and suddenly asked, ”Kenneth, what’s your Weibo account?”

Kenneth Osborne calmly showed her his main account.

Lawrence Winters was stunned by the flood of mentions and private messages on Kenneth Osborne’s Weibo account.

”Ke...kenn...Kenneth, don’t tell me you’re some Weibo celebrity!” She excitedly examined Kenneth Osborne, as if trying to uncover what identity he might be hiding.

Kenneth Osborne laughed, ”This is just my private Weibo account. Aren’t you following me too?”

Lawrence Winters pouted, ”Your account is like a zombie account, never moving for ages, yet how come so many people are mentioning and messaging you?”

Kenneth Osborne showed her the SSA Private Equity Fund’s official account, ”It’s because of them, my first investor.”

”SSA Private Equity Fund? Are they impressive? I’ve never heard of them.” Lawrence Winters had no idea about the investment world, so she had no concept of this fund.

Kenneth Osborne didn’t educate her and simply said, ”They’re quite well-known in the industry. Those people mentioning and messaging me are asking about my association with this private equity fund.”

”Oh?” Lawrence Winters glanced briefly, then didn’t look any further, encouraging him, ”Well, you must do well!”

Kenneth Osborne patted her shoulder, ”I don’t need you to remind me.”

The two playfully teased each other as they made their way to the campus entrance, caught a ride, and quickly arrived at the nearest Tesla dealership to the school.

Seeing this, Lawrence Winters clicked her tongue in admiration, ”A Tesla electric car, Kenneth! You’re really trendy!”

Tesla was very popular among young people, just as flashy as a luxury car but not cheaper, even more eye-catching.
