Daddy Always Gets Jealous

”Huanhuan, from now on, I’ll help you score him. Deduct a point for not sending flowers in a day, deduct a point for being late, deduct a point for not answering the phone, and deduct ten points for being touchy-feely...”

Che Huan listened as the little fellow prattled on, teaching her to tally up the demerits one by one, all with a flavor of personal vendetta.

Once he had finished, she gently pinched the little guy’s round cheeks, ”Who taught you all this?”

The little one’s voice was sweet and tender, ”Uncle always educates my aunt like this, I think it makes a lot of sense.”

Is that so?

It seemed that the little guy’s mature words were all learned from Huo Jinbei. It looked like she would need to keep the little fellow at a distance from his uncle in the future.

Just like that, in a few words, the nightmare was pushed to the back of her mind.

The next day, when Che Huan and the little one brought breakfast to the hospital, Huo Jinnan was sitting on the sofa with a stony expression, a red wedding invitation laid beside him.

She organized a bit, then opened the lunchbox, ”This is for you and aunt, and the captain too. I’ve also brought some for my mom, Xiaowei and I will deliver it first.”

Huo Jinnan hummed in acknowledgment, watching them leave, then picked up the invitation, glanced at it again, and set it aside.

Things were moving faster than he had anticipated!

No sooner had Qin Shaonan received the news than he had gotten the invitation.

Picking up his phone, Huo Jinnan called Huo Bei, ”Prepare a ladies’ evening gown.”

After hanging up, Huo Jinnan took the breakfast and entered the ward.

Zhong Qin had a vague idea of her condition and was actually feeling more relaxed, not even hoping for a heart match anymore. Seeing Anan and Che Huan getting married was now her greatest wish, ”Where are Huanhuan and Xiaowei?”

Huo Jinnan said softly, ”Went downstairs to bring breakfast to Aunt Zhong.”

Zhong Qin got off the hospital bed, ”I was thinking of going out for a walk, let’s go down for breakfast together.”

Huo Jinnan hummed in agreement, packed up the breakfast, and followed Zhong Qin to Wen Ru’s ward.

After breakfast, Zhong Qin and Wen Ru chatted, Huo Jinnan and Che Huan listened on the side, the little one leaned against Che Huan and dozed off, soon falling asleep in her arms, his head lolling over.

Huo Jinnan glanced over and carried the little one to the rest room.

Che Huan followed in and gently tucked in the little one, then looked over at Huo Jinnan, ”Xiaowei went to bed late last night.”

Huo Jinnan, standing nearby, asked in a low voice, ”Did he go to your room?”

Che Huan hummed in acknowledgment, thought of the nightmare but didn’t mention it, ”He talked to me for a while.”

Huo Jinnan reached out and held Che Huan’s chin, lifting it. His long fingers traced from her jawline down to her collarbone, pausing on her pleasingly soft skin, ”If you’re tired, you could also take a nap.”

Che Huan shook her head, glanced at his jaw which bore a slight stubble, adding a different kind of sexiness, and couldn’t resist brushing it softly with the back of her hand, feeling a bit of the prickly sensation, ”Did you sleep last night?”

As she was about to pull her hand away, her hand was firmly grasped by a strong palm!

Huo Jinnan was staring at Che Huan.

Che Huan’s cheeks grew hot under his gaze, ”How about I help you shave?”

”Okay.”

Huo Jinnan responded with a single word.

Che Huan looked around; the rest room of her mother’s ward did not have a razor, his things should be upstairs, so did this mean going upstairs?

Huo Jinnan didn’t say anything, just turned and left the ward.

Che Huan dallied for a while, waited for about fifteen minutes, and then made an excuse to leave the ward.

When she reached the upstairs, Huo Jinnan was sitting on the sofa with the razor already prepared on the coffee table.
