Daddy Always Gets Jealous

”I’ve been looking all along.”

Huo Jinnan came over and sat next to Che Huan, glancing at Huo Jinxue and the others, ”Let’s not mention it to Mom for now, she’ll feel pressured if she knows.”

Huo Jinxue and Huo Jinbei nodded.

Just then, Huo Jinnan’s phone rang.

Seeing it was from Huo Qichang, he glanced at it and hung up directly.

After a while, Huo Jinxue and Huo Jinbei took the little one into the room to see Zhong Qin, leaving only Che Huan and Huo Jinnan in the living room.

Che Huan turned to look at him, hesitated for a moment, then placed her hand on his injured palm, covering the wound, ”Auntie will be alright.”

Huo Jinnan clasped Che Huan’s hand in response, looking at her, ”I won’t let anything happen to her.”

Che Huan ”mm-hmmed,” glanced at the direction of the hospital room, saw the door was closed, and leaned over quietly, snuggling into his embrace.

Huo Jinnan looked down at Che Huan, his slender fingers gently stroking her seaweed-like long hair, ”Worried about me?”

Che Huan replied in a very soft voice, ”mm-hmm,” in truth, it wasn’t just worry for Aunt Zhong, but also that unsettling feeling.

Hopefully, nothing else would go wrong!

With that thought, she couldn’t help but rub her head lightly against his chest in his embrace.

Huo Jinnan watched her the whole time, about to speak when the living room door suddenly opened.

Shen You and Yu Zimu stepped in, caught the scene, quickly backed out, closed the door and knocked politely.

Che Huan, with a flushed face, sat up straight and adjusted her appearance.

Huo Jinnan looked towards the door, ”Come in.”

Yu Zimu and Shen You opened the door and entered, with faces feigning innocence as if nothing had happened and they had seen nothing, ”We came to check on Aunt Zhong.”

Huo Jinnan took a glance in the direction of the hospital room and gestured for them to sit.

Yu Zimu and Shen You conscientiously sat down on one side, in a corner far from Che Huan and Huo Jinnan, greeting her, ”Hello, sister-in-law.”

Remembering the scene just a moment ago, Che Huan felt her face heat up as she nodded at the two men.

Huo Jinnan turned to Che Huan, ”Don’t mind them.”

”...”

Shen You and Yu Zimu were silent. Hadn’t they behaved quite well just now? Was it really okay for Huo to be like this toward his own cash cows?

Huo Jinnan looked at Shen You and Yu Zimu, knowing that they had come at this time for something important.

Indeed, Yu Zimu looked at Huo Jinnan, clearly having something to say, but it was inconvenient to speak because of Che Huan’s presence.

Huo Jinnan, without changing his expression, glanced and showed no intention of having a private conversation, sitting there with a cold and lofty demeanor.

Yu Zimu sat for a while, then couldn’t help speaking out, ”Huo, I have something to report to you.”

Huo Jinnan ”mm-hmmed,” ”Go ahead.”

Like this?

Yu Zimu was stunned for a few seconds before realizing, ”Huo, it’s like this, I saw Huo Jinyun at Yunshang today.”

Huo Jinnan raised his brows to look at Yu Zimu.

Yu Zimu lowered his voice, ”She met someone at Yunshang.”

Thinking that person looked very much like Miss Qin, Huo Jinyun must be up to no good, scheming something! Yu Zimu glanced at Che Huan, hesitating whether to spill it out or not.

Huo Jinnan glanced at Yu Zimu, ”Met who?”

Does Huo not mind Che hearing? Yu Zimu tactfully didn’t mention Miss Qin, pulled out his phone, and showed a photo, ”This woman, named Fang Tong, her father runs a company that’s not too big, not too small.”

Huo Jinnan glanced at it and looked away, ”Just keep an eye on her.”
