Daddy Always Gets Jealous

Huo Jinnan asked Wen Ru with a simple ”Okay,” glanced at the little guy, and lifted him to set him aside.

The little guy scrunched his eyebrows - did Huo Jinnan really disregard him like that?

He pursed his lips, grumbling inwardly, ”Humph! Such a self-important jerk!”

Zhong Qin and Huo Jinxue exchanged a glance at the deflated little guy and couldn’t help but laugh out loud.

A faint smile also appeared on Wen Ru’s face.

Che Huan watched in surprise, not expecting his mother and Aunt Zhong to get along so harmoniously and joyfully.

It wasn’t just Che Huan; Huo Jinnan also scrunched his brows slightly, aware that if it hadn’t been for his mother stepping in, he might well have been driven out of the hospital room too.

Wen Ru looked at Huo Jinnan, sizing him up carefully.

Huo Jinnan gave Wen Ru a light, indifferent smile.

Wen Ru’s expression flashed a trace of discomfort, which quickly passed. Looking at Zhong Qin, she recalled that it was she who had chosen the name Anan back then. She did not expect that so many years later, the little boy she once knew had grown into such an outstanding man.

”Anan is twenty-nine now, right?”

Zhong Qin smiled and nodded, ”Not young anymore. He’s not settled down yet, and I’ve worried about it over the years.”

Wen Ru turned to the nurse, asking her to adjust the bed a bit higher, and as she lay there, she looked at Che Huan and Huo Jinnan. She roughly understood the situation from what Xiaoqin had told her, but she still worried. Anan wanted to marry Huanhuan, but she feared it would not be so simple.

The group chatted while starting on their breakfast.

Che Huan ate and took care of the little guy simultaneously.

With Huo Jinnan sitting in the middle, it was rather inconvenient. The little guy gave him a glance and muttered ”So in the way” under his breath before standing up and walking over to Che Huan’s side.

Che Huan picked him up and held him in his arms.

The little guy’s cheeks flushed - he was already so big, yet Huanhuan still treated him like a child!

Thinking of his small stature, unable to even lift Che Huan, his cheeks puffed up sulkily. He stole a glance at Huo Jinnan, envious of his physique. When would he grow as tall? Not only tall, but also with such a fine build!

He remembered the time they bathed together, seeing the perfect ”Adonis belt” on Huo Jinnan’s body, the upper abs, lower abs, obliques full of muscle fibers, and the blocky muscular abs that resembled piano keys, the majestic ”shark muscles”...

He felt hurt at the time, and now it hurt even more to remember!

If only he were more diligent, exercised like Huo Jinnan, maybe he wouldn’t be so short. He decided he had to exercise more in the future!

He felt Huo Jinnan glance his way - he wasn’t sure if it was his imagination or reality, but he couldn’t shake the feeling that it was laced with scorn.

The little guy quickly climbed out of Che Huan’s arms and stood back on the ground, ”Huanhuan, your legs are so thin, and I’m heavy; I might hurt you.”

Zhong Qin laughed upon hearing this, ”It’s nice to know you care about your mom. But why haven’t you changed the way you address her, still calling her ’Huanhuan’?”

”I’m just not used to it yet!”

The little guy glanced at Huo Jinnan; the person he used to consider his girlfriend had suddenly become his mother. He thought he was doing pretty well already!

Humph, Huo Jinnan!

Huo Jinnan swept a glance at the little guy.

The little guy looked away, turning towards Che Huan, about to speak when he heard Wen Ru’s voice.

”Xiaowei, come here to Grandma.”

The little guy gave Wen Ru a sweet smile and trotted over, ”Grandma, did you like the breakfast Huanhuan and I bought?”

”Delicious.”

Wen Ru saw the scabs on the little guy’s face, which she hadn’t asked about yesterday. Seeing them again today, there seemed to be quite a few. She reached out to take off his hat, her brows furrowing gently.
