Counterfeit Hero

Chapter 1548: Chapter 41: Happiness

Xiushui River, winding through the vast mountains, resembles a surging jade belt.

Following the river upstream, as the final ridge lies at your feet, Xiushui River Town by the Xiushui River is already within sight.

Fatty pushed the control lever. The tattered body of ”Logic” standing tall on the hilltop. Five hundred devil-like ”Rampage,” with ”Logic” at the forefront, spread out from both sides of the summit, resembling a majestic eagle in flight.

Thousands of Fei Alliance soldiers, piloting various types of mecha, walked past the mountain’s foot.

When the spirited warriors looked up and saw these black devils on the summit, everyone’s eyes revealed unrestrained awe.

They knew that these were the newly developed Twelfth Generation Mecha of the Fei Alliance.

And those who piloted these Twelfth Generation Mecha were the top mechanical warriors of the Fei Alliance.

Their average hand speed reached sixty-five movements per second, and their mecha techniques were exquisite and unpredictable.

Ordinary mecha stood no chance when encountering them. Even the Judger of the Binart Empire was no match in their presence!

Under the leadership of that fatty Vice Admiral from the Leray Federation, the troops miraculously broke through layers of obstacles, maneuvered here, and with a backhand overturned the convoluted battle situation on Leifeng Star.

Breaking through 49 Peak, the dawn is at hand!

The mecha formations lined up one after another, seemingly endless.

The rear guard troops were still more than ten kilometers away, while the vanguard had already surrounded Xiushui River Town from all directions, impermeable.

Looking far ahead, on the summit all around, Fei Alliance mechanical army units were everywhere. Dark green, black, cyan, brown... variously colored mecha of different sizes flooded the mountains, pouring down the slopes.

To quickly capture Xiushui River Town and Seven-star Town, the bandit army, led by the Feiyang 33rd Army with two regiments from the bandit army’s Second Armored Division as the vanguard, deployed eight divisions into battle.

Four of these divisions attacked Xiushui River Town. The other four maneuvered northwest along the sixth resource highway on Xiushui River’s west bank and the surrounding intercity road network to attack Seven-star Town.

The fastest moving 332nd Brigade of the 33rd Army had already maneuvered to the northeast direction of the further north Seven-star Town. The two Chuckna Armored Divisions on the flank had also cut off the traffic routes between the two towns and the west. A massive encirclement suddenly formed.

A line of red flame soared from the outskirts of Xiushui River Town in the distance, with rolling black smoke rushing into the sky. Moments later, as more shells landed, the firelight scattered across the sky, and the enormous explosion sound only reached the mountain top, echoing thunderously through the valley.

Fatty opened the mecha long-range viewer.

Through the viewer, nearly six thousand various types of mecha from the 333rd Brigade of the Feiyang 33rd Army formed a massive arc-shaped net composed of countless assault arrows, advancing against the Western Alliance forces’ defenses.

Under the collapsed skyscrapers, beside the roads, relying on the hastily assembled defense lines formed by the already riddled trench positions, countless Western Alliance mecha and soldiers were running, each Suss officer, Jiepeng officer, shouting hoarsely.

In front of that broken defense line was a wide plain several kilometers across. Throughout the highways, fields, and houses of the plain, everywhere Fei Alliance mecha charged forward in assault.

Mushroom clouds rose beside them, with billowing dust trailing behind. While the overwhelming artillery from behind, spanning the sky, poured over their heads like meteors rushing from the horizon, toward the Western Alliance positions.

The Fei Alliance armored assault groups greeted the explosion-lit Western Alliance defenses like arrows leaving the bowstring.

Closer, closer!

An assault arrow formed by more than one hundred Feiyang Mecha penetrated several collapsed farmhouses, crossed the potholed road bed of the ruined highway, and rushed into the hastily organized Suss people’s counterattack forces.

Both sides’ mecha fiercely collided.

Engines roared at high speed, heavy fists and mechanical legs struck each other rapidly.

Block-shaped external armors shattered under the intense onslaught, shells collapsed out of thin air, web-like cracks instantly covered the entire body. The energy shield transformed colors under the heavy mecha’s fierce fire, with intense explosion sounds rising one after another.

One mecha fell, and another took its place. Both sides’ mechas desperately pushed forward, creating a chaotic and brutal scene.

As this first unit of Fei Alliance armored forces struck the Western Alliance frontline, left and right wings, dozens of assault arrows also collided subsequently.

Seen from the mountaintop, the scene resembled dozens of rapidly succeeding missiles striking a long bridge across the sea.

The Western Alliance’s defense line trembled under this dense assault.

Western Alliance mecha surged forward from the rear, leaped out of the trenches, filling positions on the frontline. Officers raced back and forth, soldiers fired frantically.

Fatty knew this wasn’t the Western Alliance’s constructed defense line.

Hours earlier, they were the attackers, bombarding this line guarded by the Chuckna people with endless artillery, assaulting the positions repeatedly like waves crashing onto rocky shores.

Yet now, several hours later, the defense line they once wished to obliterate has become their protective symbol.

No one knew where the Fei Alliance armored forces behind came from. Somehow, this unit suddenly appeared behind them, launching an assault on them.
