Beneath the Red Dragon

Whew, whew, the massive sounds of exhaling and hissing echo in the darkness, sending shivers down the spine.

Until the intense scent of serpent fills the nostrils of the Silver Dragon, the nine heads of the Hydra slowly retract, once again diving into the darkness.

The light disappears in an instant, leaving only the meaningful low laughter of the Nine-headed Hydra.

The Young Red Dragon Kedelos also lets out a soft laugh, then steps out of the darkness, welcoming the true light.

This step forward leads to another world, one where the Sub-planes face imminent death.

The Elemental Essences of these Sub-planes are captured by the Imperial Legion to arm the Golem Legion.

The world’s minerals and resources are mined by the empire, used to develop imperial armaments and stockpile production materials.

The energy of the planes is extracted by the empire, sent to the imperial factories and energy furnaces of various production departments.

The last remaining value, the Sub-plane itself, is severed by Imperial Casters, fashioned as exclusive Half-planes for the Magic Research Department’s experiments.

Above these Half-planes, the Supervision Room is vast, like a domed crystal glass room hanging in the void darkness, connected to the Golden Empire’s currently exploited Half-planes.

Dense channels resemble Teleportation Gates, present before the Magic Screen carved from Magic Crystal.

From the projection of the Magic Crystal, all unfolding images on those Half-planes can be clearly observed, even the magic laboratories within are transparent, facilitating the Imperial Legion stationed at the Supervision Room to dispatch forces or support as situations arise.

”Lord Kedelos,”

”Esteemed Giant Dragon,”

”Your Majesty Kedelos!”

The stationed Legion Warriors salute, led by the commander, a Dragon Descendant hybrid terror bear, standing four meters tall, wearing Magical Armor, revealing a head with small eyes shining with wisdom.

The Young Red Dragon nodded, flicking his thick tail, and walked straight to the Magic Screen to observe the dynamics within the Half-planes.

Projected on the screen is the Magic Research Department’s study on the source of bloodlines, the project led by Alchemy Fanatic Ticky.

Bound on the experimental platform is a High Tier Demon with wings, four claws, and a goat’s head, a long chain-like tail hanging limply, still slightly trembling.

The demon’s eyes, usually cunning and sinister, are now filled with fear and panic, yet unable to speak. Even as the body is calmed and sedated by Magic Potion, it trembles.

At this moment, those wielding Magic Instruments, preparing to dissect its body, study the bloodline—those mages and scholars—are the true demons, especially the Alchemy Fanatic Ticky, with eyes fixed on the lower body, are demons among demons.

Besides this demon, many demon and monster specimens await the mages’ attention in other laboratories.

Some apprentice mages push out failed and damaged specimens on carts to another Half-plane.

There is the empire’s prison for captured demons and devils and other monsters. Occasionally, monsters encountered during territory expansion that refuse to surrender are thrown into this Half-plane prison.

When apprentices discard materials of no value that even Undead Mages and Witch Demons don’t want into the prison plane, groups of Purgatory Demon Dogs and carrion-eating canine monsters excitedly rush forward, clearing out the trash for the empire.

Young Red Dragon Kedelos can even see apprentice scholars and mage apprentices in this Half-plane prison, pull out demons and devils sedated by Magic Potions, lift them onto carts, and send them to various mage laboratories.

Other unchosen monster demons and devils softly sigh in the prison crafted from tens of meters thick mountain steel alloy, cloaked by the grand imperial Magic Array, grateful for surviving another day, then begin to pray to their loyal Demon Lord or Duke of Devils.

Praying that these powerful Lords and Dukes might fortuitously favor them, rescuing them from captivity.

But it’s all in vain, for the entire prison within the Half-plane is under the suppression of the Golden Empire’s King’s Castle hall, with a colossal magic array connected to the Dragon Group’s King’s Castle, possessing an endless supply of energy.

Not to mention Demon Lords, even Divine Spirits cannot discover this place under the shielding domain of the Ancient Magic Empire and the serenity emblem of the Magic Dragon God and the power suppression of the Ancestral Red Dragon.

Even a Legendary Mage skilled in Divination Skill cannot locate this dark place through prophesy.

”Tsk, these mages sure are cruel,”

The Young Red Dragon loudly lamented, of course Red Dragon Kedelos indeed thinks so. When humans engage their warped minds, even demons and devils must submit, let alone Giant Dragons.

However, the Young Red Dragon is also a beneficiary.

These bloodline researches are only to better evolve and unlock the potential of Dragon Blood, noble dragons cannot become experimental subjects because of their rarity, so other races must be inconvenienced.

Searching for commonalities in the bloodline research of these creatures, then using exotic methods to tackle the challenges of dragons.

The Golden Empire’s Secret Technique for the Dragon’s Proof has therefore gradually matured.
