Beneath the Red Dragon

The sun is rising higher and higher, yet it seems the entire world is growing ever colder.

From a high view, the colossal walls encircling the Valerian Peninsula are being relentlessly battered by countless Demons like black tides surging forward.

A dense throng of Demons climb upward along mountains hundreds of meters high, screaming endlessly as they leap and scramble, driving their claws and weapons firmly into the mountain walls, jumping meters, even tens of meters high.

Layers of black clouds roil towards the walls in the sky, wave after wave of Demons falls from the sky and walls like rain, consumed by the relentless torrents moving forward.

The rain of arrows and Crossbow spears shudders across the sky, blooming with unprecedented sharpness, yet is instantly drowned in wave after wave of Demon tides.

Legion Level magic resonance erupts with dazzling spell torrents in the sky, sweeping away thousands of Demons, but the cleared space is immediately filled by new Demons rushing in.

One by one, enormous Demon Dragons and Flying Dragons of varying scale colors roar viciously, swooping through the sky as they unleash scorching Dragon Fire and explosive sound waves.

Vast swathes of Demons are ignited by the fiery rage of these Demon Dragons, every moment hundreds or thousands of Demons become blazing torches plummeting from the sky, every second scores of Demons are pulverized by sound waves, their internal organs and brains or the bones of their wings shattered upon impact.

No probing attack precedes this; from the outset, full-scale war has erupted. The Demons never use such tactics; their absolute numbers are their unstoppable force.

The last remaining grand city in this world stands like a solitary reef in The Sea, bracing against the surging Demon waves crashing upon it.

Tens of thousands, hundreds of thousands of Demons mount an unprecedented assault today; were it not for this wall’s sea-surrounded defense on three sides, terror would have long since breached by the all-encompassing Demonic onslaught.

In those boundless sea tides, monster Sea Beasts of enormous size emerge, native species and Extraordinary Creatures of this Ice and Fire World, among which are sea monsters larger than the Dragon spewing Dragon Flame overhead.

A giant, deep-sea drifting octopus surfaces, its massive body resembling a small landmass, with countless thick tentacles, each tens of meters long, equipped with huge suction cups thrashing in the tides, rising into the air, dragging Demons one by one into The Sea, drowning some alive.

Demons unable to drown attempt to surface and fly again, yet are once more seized by the giant octopus’ tentacles, its suction cups’ razor-sharp teeth scraping across their bodies, live Demons ripped and mangled into mere skeletons.

Also present are monstrous whale sharks in The Sea, their bodies stretching hundreds of meters, spouting water, though their power is weak, it suffices to knock down Low Tier flying Demons.

The giant whale shark strikes Demons down into The Sea, then crashes its massive tail upon them, splintering them into pieces on the surface, foul blood slowly contaminates the nearby waters.

Some Sea Beasts are easily slain by Demons, their bellies turn white, floating lifelessly on the surface.

Creatures worshiped as ’Drowned God’ by the inhabitants of this world, most of them grow to huge sizes due to the world’s characteristics, do not possess extraordinary power.

Although they can slaughter Demons with raw might, they are also easy prey for Demons.

Several Sea Beasts are controlled by Enslavement Scrolls crafted by Imperial Mages, with entry-level Low Tier Casters manipulating them slightly, causing some disruption to the Demon Army atop the waters.

Vast tracts of the continent are magic barren regions, yet the Demons orchestrate their large-scale assault, across the strait at the Land of Long Summer, numerous Demon Corps lining the shore, intent on freezing the strait with their Talent Power.

Frothing seas transformed into an icy continent, enabling the Demons to tread upon it, razing this wobbly yet unyielding bastion.

High Tier Demons stand across the strait, brandishing long whips, driving Low Tier Demons to freeze the sea by their own power.

The sprawling sea surface amid magic barren lands, utterly freezing it demands an unforeseen amount of power, countless Demons exhaust their strength, freezing mere inches or feet of sea, then are helpless.

The Demons lack replenishment, though not as formidable as usual, they remain battle-ready.

Yet for High Tier Demons, these Low Tier Demons are of no consequence, the exhausting mobilization irritates them, squandering time.

The High Tier Demons compel the rear Low Tier Demons to directly shove their exhausted brethren into the sea, replacing them in repeating the actions.

Demons adrift in The Sea struggle to congeal into ice blocks, yet no Low Tier Demon dares challenge the High Tier Demons’ orders, nor does any Low Tier Demon empathize with their companions.

Snap,

A whip, covered in spikes and hooks, lashes out, dragging a power-depleted Demon into the sea, the Six-armed Snake Demon swims, coldly barking, ”Next batch!”

Wasted strength Demons howl as their companions cruelly push them into The Sea, becoming stepping stones.

Yet the Six-armed Snake Demon suddenly turns its head, gazing towards the distant mountain crest.
