Beneath the Red Dragon

Even amidst the overwhelming magic flood and demon shadows, there surged a brilliant white radiance, especially eye-catching along the entire defense line.

In the eyes of the Six-armed Snake Demon, this intense light, though not as repellent as the holy energy magic against demons, also posed a formidable threat to them.

The ferocious flames, similar in some ways to the Demon Dragon fire in the sky, were fiercer and more tyrannical. Each eruption, even from a distance, the Six-armed Snake Demon could sense the fire imbued with the aura of the Red Dragon longing to annihilate all life in front of it, even demons.

Whirr,

An unmatched pillar of fire swept across the city walls, with the furious Dragon-Wolf Species Sahari spewing forth the Power of Destruction bestowed by the Red Dragon. His flames were more explosive than those of the Dragon Descendants’ Dragon Breath Skill.

No matter if mixed among the tide of Mid-tier Demons, once tainted by the Red Dragon’s flames, they were powerless to resist, turning to ashes within the fire, as all energy and matter became fuel for this destructive blaze.

Swish,

A dazzling light suddenly ignited, as if a small incandescent sun appeared in the sky, enveloping hundreds of meters in area.

”Aooaooo...”

Countless demons shrieked agonizingly as they fell from the walls, any demon under the light’s cover was defenseless.

Gilenis’ resolute face was completely enveloped by the dense Heart Energy, like wearing another layer of Battle Armor. The blazing brightness blossomed from his raised Warhammer, with surging mind strikes tearing through the souls of Low Tier Demons, extinguishing them instantly.

The warrior’s strength wasn’t inadequate, but these warriors had long mastered the skill of utilizing every ounce of strength in prolonged combat, never wasting a bit.

The demons on the wall and in the sky were swiftly swept clear, allowing Gilenis a chance to speak. He quickly shouted loudly, ”Reserve team, prepare to take over the defense line, Legion Warriors, assemble immediately!”

The power of this Legion Commander didn’t surprise the surrounding warriors, but Gilenis’ unusual excitement did.

Gilenis gently swung the Warhammer, always feeling this re-forged weapon seemed more effective, and his internal power continued to swell, accompanied by his growing combat intent.

The thriving Heart Energy was growing stronger with his will.

He could sense the source of this power, the Imperial Emperor, gradually approaching this world, getting closer and closer.

Being the Legion Commander, he knew relying solely on the current legion was unsustainable long-term. Utilizing the first wave of the fiercest attacks under the wall defense had yielded good results.

Yet the demon assaults would gradually intensify, requiring proactive offense to alleviate strong defensive pressure. This might allow them to hold out until the arrival of the Ancestral Red Dragon.

They had done this in the past, only today, he was more excited.

Bang,

Golem Warriors, with their rocky and steel fists, smashed the entire heads of climbing demons and tore at the arms these demons caught in the wall cracks. Lifting the bodies, they pounded them onto the wall surfaces, crushing subsequent demons.

Warriors resembling demons themselves slaughtered the real demons, or knocked them off the walls, assembling swiftly.

The reserve team was already in place. Rather than calling them a reserve team, they are better described as the assisting defense team behind these warriors. These reserve team warriors were elite warriors extracted from this world.

They always positioned themselves behind the Legion Warriors, ready to take over the entire defense line at any time.

The Mage Corps, drawn here, were also ready, beginning to collectively cast spells. They added a shield of magic and Elemental Absorption’s Three-dimensional Defense Skill to the Dragon Legion Warriors preparing to assault.

Then they bestowed Spiritual Weapons and the Physical Strength Growth beneficial spell on the reserve team warriors, starting to take over the city defense line.

In the sky, Flying Dragon Battle Commander Batorri wielded the Dragon Spear on Flying Dragon Swift Shadow’s back, but maintained close ties with the city wall defense line.

In legion combat, collaboration was paramount.

Observing Gilenis’s orders and actions, Flying Dragon Corps Battle Batorri quickly adjusted the battle lines, began reallocating Flying Dragon and Demon Dragon, preparing to coordinate with Gilenis’s movements.

The command for defense line change spread rapidly, a wave of humanity surged over the walls, methodically handing over the defense line.

The Dragon-Wolf Species eased a somewhat dry throat, wisps of smoke emanated from between its sharp fangs. Yet the hundred-pound Heavy Sword in hand never paused.

Whenever warriors of the Pure were tackled by demons, the Dragon-Wolf Species’ Heavy Sword would invariably chop off the demon’s head the next moment, protecting the entire defense line securely.

Though warriors were occasionally slain by demons, the defense line was never shaken.

Yet the Dragon Descendant Werewolf Saha and Gilenis shared the same thought: In this world where Imperial power was severely insufficient, solely relying on defense was hard to sustain.

Thus Saha swiftly responded to Gilenis’s idea, began deploying legion warriors who assembled at the city wall defense’s main gate.

Upon reaching the cleared defense, all legion warriors were already waiting, with two colossal Titan Demon Pythons coiled atop the battlements, clearing the demons in the entire area.

The Imperial Caster Corps joined forces to cast Burning Hand and Shattering Sound Wave, sweeping away the demons on the ground to create a temporary clearing for legion warriors to descend.

In the sky, under Batorri and the Dragon King Clan’s guidance, the Demon Dragon Knights began counter-attacking, clearing a battlefield in the sky, unaffected by the warriors there.

”I have foreseen it,” Gilenis raised his Warhammer and shouted loudly, ”The Imperial Emperor is about to arrive. Today marks the demons’ day of repentance. Let them repent, for today is their day to die!”

”Repent! Today is their day to die!”

The sound of steel sounded continuously, as the Imperial Warriors burned with battle intent, sharp cold lights glistened on the walls, demon warriors spread their wings, dragon warriors roared breaths of flame, demon warriors screamed bloodthirstily, golem warriors groaned.

And the Golem Legion descended from the walls first.

Bang, bang, bang,

Golem Warriors, forged from boulders and steel, slipped off the walls, directly crushing dozens of climbing, leaping demons, then trampled them into paste.

Yet these enormous and heavy Golem Warriors were instantly submerged by a tide of demons overwhelming them with their flesh, and the Golem Legion’s immense power made the pounding hammers lethally slam demons alive.

But dozens, hundreds of demons clung to the golems, with fangs and claws, weapons hacking, pulling and smashing, promptly toppling six of the Golem Warriors.

However, Bloodscale Frenzy Corps Warriors in Heavy Armor unfolded Dragon’s Wings, descending from the sky, surging Dragon Breath spit forth under the bloodline’s power, sweeping fans around their bodies, igniting surrounding demons, howling as they rolled into the sea, then dragged into the depths by sea beasts.

”Tear them apart, kill them, they still dare leave this shell...”

The Low Tier Demons swarmed back, possibly fearing death, but driven forward by demons from behind, recklessly attempting to engulf the Dragon-blood Warriors’ flames with their flesh.

Yet more terrifying than the demons’ furious screams were the echoes of ominous laughter from above, as warriors resembling High Tier Demons and Devils completely freed themselves from bloodline restraints, revealing combat forms with ram horns and cattle horns, growing large demon and devil wings.

These ruthless Demon Hunters and Dragon Demon Warriors swung their heavy weapons with their right hands, knocking away charging demon bodies, as their left hands, like Dragon Claws, burned with demon and devil Evil Fire, piercing demons’ hearts, crushing them.

Amidst the tide, Mid-tier Demons screeched as they charged, but two colossal Titan Demon Pythons leapt out from behind those warriors, scythe-like fangs shredded strong Mid-tier Demons, then devoured their hearts and essence.

Boom,

Two powerful warriors leaped directly from the hundreds-of-meters high city wall, stomping the solid Valerian Avenue ground into intricate cracks.

Over a hundred demons were sent flying by the impact from these two powerful warriors.

Gilenis raised his Warhammer high, Dragon Descendant Werewolf Saha grasped the Heavy Sword, displaying an excited expression.

”Repent! Today is your day to perish!”
