Armed Train in the Apocalypse

Chapter 326: Chapter 229: Open the Doors, Free Trade!

The wind and rain outside were pouring, howling and slapping against the window.

An old man with a grizzled beard holding a shotgun stormed in angrily.

Surveying the chaotic bar, his broad chest heaved.

He shouted loudly.

”Where are you going?!”

Su Huan turned around and looked at the vigorous Iron Old Man, his eyes finally showing some seriousness.

After all, the Iron Mountain Shelter had turned into an armory, and it might contain some powerful weapons.

Originally, he wanted to probe a bit more, but unexpectedly he encountered the main character so soon.

People around seemed to have found their backbone and hurriedly gathered behind Iron Old Man, while Qi Zhiyuan’s men carried him over.

”Why are you here?”

Qi Tieshan frowned as he saw Qi Zhiyuan being carried over.

Qi Zhiyuan and some of his men shrank their necks.

”Grandpa, I couldn’t sleep at night and went out with Ah Ming, but then...”

”And ended up not being able to compete for affection?”

Seeing his grandfather’s livid face, Qi Zhiyuan’s face twitched slightly, sensing things were not looking good.

His grandfather was particularly stern; unlike others who enjoy familial warmth across generations, he ruled his household with military discipline.

Even though the Qi Family occupied an entire shelter, life was no different than before the apocalypse, maybe even worse.

He couldn’t even eat anything decent despite being the sole descendant.

Complained twice, once got beaten by his father, and another time got a mixed beating from both father and grandfather.

Carrying debt was a minor matter, but if the family found out he was bullying people relying on their background in the shelter, he wouldn’t die but would surely suffer.

Thinking of this, cold sweat broke out on Qi Zhiyuan’s forehead.

Under such high pressure, his mind suddenly became sharp.

”No, I saw these outsiders causing trouble, I stepped in to mediate, but they indiscriminately wanted to fight me, that long-haired pretty boy was the worst and even bullied the children in our shelter...”

”Is that how it happened?”

Iron Old Man’s slightly droopy eyes swept over the bartenders.

The bartender who served Su Huan glanced evasively and pointed at Su Huan, shouting, ”This person eats and doesn’t pay, he threatened me!”

With his words, people around immediately agreed uniformly.

Without even talking to Su Huan, they began to claim how arrogant Su Huan was.

Even though Su Huan ignored them from beginning to end, didn’t that better prove Su Huan’s arrogance and malice?

Who Su Huan was didn’t matter.

What mattered was he offended Qi Zhiyuan.

Apart from a few women showing sympathy for Su Huan’s face, the rest were secretly gleeful.

Qi Zhiyuan saw everyone siding with him, regained his confidence, and started exaggerating how domineering Su Huan was.

But he didn’t notice Iron Old Man’s increasingly dark expression and eyes filled with disappointment.

Having lived seventy-eight years, from the country’s toughest times to its peak, he had seen too many people and experienced too much; how could he not discern the lies in this boy’s words!

”Bang!”

Lost in his excitement, Qi Zhiyuan was slapped so hard he saw stars.

Those carrying him were startled and loosened their grip, causing Qi Zhiyuan to fall awkwardly to the ground.

A burning pain spread from his face, leaving him completely bewildered.

”Grandpa...”

Iron Old Man looked at his grandson who fell to the ground with great disappointment and said, ”You may lust, you may vie for affection, but you can’t escape your failures like a coward!”

Iron Old Man’s hoarse, deep voice was filled with a lot of anger and regret.

The bartenders and others were scared by this scene and dared not make a sound.

”You speak well, but there’s one correction: your grandson isn’t vying for affection, he’s a sycophant.”

Just when the atmosphere was dead silent, Su Huan suddenly remarked.

Qi Zhiyuan sharply lifted his head, glaring at Su Huan in anger.

His peripheral vision instinctively glanced at the graceful Zhang Min, and resentment instantly peaked in his heart.

”Who are you!”

Iron Old Man raised his head and stared intensely at Su Huan.

Su Huan asked in return, ”You’re Qi Tieshan?”

Iron Old Man looked like an enraged tiger, striding over, pulling the shotgun slide, bullet in the chamber.

”Zhiyuan did wrong and deserved punishment! But young man, you shouldn’t cause trouble in Iron Mountain Shelter! No matter what you rely on, today you must give me an explanation!”

Shu Wei sighed silently in his heart. Just for this statement, with the conductor’s temper, there had to be a confrontation today.

It’s just uncertain if this shelter could still be preserved.

Su Huan repeated with slight surprise, ”Give you an explanation?”

Then he couldn’t help but laugh broadly, his neat, fine teeth chilling to those who saw them.

Iron Old Man’s grizzled beard trembled, just as his shotgun was about to rise, it was pressed down by a hand!

It was the recently arrived Giraffe.

Handling those outside wasn’t troublesome; the problem was finding a place to put them, avoiding blockage at the entrance.

Only after stuffing all the toilets on the entire floor did Giraffe free himself to rush over.

Just in time to witness Iron Old Man smacking his grandson.

Plus the strong military aura around Iron Old Man prompted him to lend a hand.

Giraffe’s eyes held a hint of warning, ”Old squad leader, once the muzzle is raised, the problem becomes hard to solve.”

Iron Old Man pulled twice, but couldn’t lift the muzzle of his gun, already furious to the extreme, his hair and beard bristling, he spat a mouthful of saliva onto Giraffe’s face, ”At the time of the organization’s greatest need, instead of stepping up to do the right thing, you aid the wicked, you dare call me old squad leader? If you were my soldier, I’d execute you! For the sake of you having served, get lost!”
