Worthless Profession: Dragon Tamer

Chapter 997, Flaming Hell Dungeon Instance

As the host, and moreover, a wealthy Young Mistress host at that, the evening banquet Ye Wuxian prepared for everyone could naturally be described as ‘extraordinarily sumptuous’.

Many of the dishes were things Han Ke and the others had never even seen before.

Even though Han Ke herself was an Enchanted Cook capable of creating many delicious meals, she still found the ingredients on the table incredibly novel, her eyes practically sparkling as she looked them over.

Of course, her eyes were not sparkling because she was hungry, but rather because she was intrigued and curious about these ingredients unique to the Western Border.

As a Cook, anything related to cooking naturally held tremendous interest for her.

Noticing Han Ke’s thoughts, Ye Wuxian smiled and said, “Sister Han, if you’re interested in these ingredients, I can take you to my Family’s kitchen later to properly examine the stored ingredients. If you’re interested, you could even cook a few dishes yourself. That would be even better. To be honest, although the cooks in our Ye Family Residence also have Hidden Lifestyle Specialised Professions and produce food far superior to ordinary people… But, compared to your skills, Sister Han, they still fall far short. I’ve been in the Western Border for so long now, and it’s been ages since I’ve eaten anything you’ve made. I really miss it.”

Han Ke’s face lit up with delight. “Really? If you don’t mind me potentially wasting your precious ingredients, then I’ll personally cook for you all later.”

Ye Wuxian laughed. “Sister Han, with skills as good as yours, if your cooking counts as wasting ingredients, then anyone’s cooking would be a waste. Whenever you feel like going, just tell me and I’ll personally take you there.”

“Alright. When the time comes, I’ll let you all taste my cooking again.” Han Ke smiled warmly, not standing on ceremony with Ye Wuxian at all.

As everyone took their seats, no one held back, and they all began eating heartily.

During the banquet, everyone chatted and laughed, discussing many things in an extremely harmonious atmosphere.

Finally, Ye Wuxian arranged for everyone to return to their respective quarters to rest.

Over the next two days, everyone basically remained at the Ye Family Residence without leaving much.

Han Ke was arguably the busiest among them. She had to visit the kitchen to research new dishes and cook for Lu Fan and the others. At the same time, she also needed to go to the Ye Family Residence’s vault to absorb the equipment the Ye Family had no use for.

Occasionally, she even had to go out to various Dungeon Instances under Ye Family’s jurisdiction, absorbing the Dungeon Instances and Secret Realms.

In short, Han Ke undoubtedly reaped the greatest harvest among everyone.

In the blink of an eye, her Moon had grown to the size of a five-story building. Although it was still far inferior to the Moon Goddess’ Moon, the energy contained within was not to be scoffed at.

Han Ke was basically so busy every day that she could not be found, while Lu Fan and the others were far freer to do as they liked.

Learning that Lu Fan had come to search for traces of Ancient Gods, Ye Wuxian actively cooperated, sending Ye Family servants out in all directions to gather intelligence and see if there were any strange occurrences in the Western Border’s Forbidden Zones that might indicate an Ancient God’s presence.

Currently, with Lu Fan’s assistance, although the Ye Family was merely a Second Tier Ancient Noble Family, their status was no weaker than First Tier Ancient Noble Families.

Even some Supreme Tier Ancient Noble Families would give the Ye Family some face, having established friendly relations with them.

Under such status, the Ye Family was doing quite well in the Western Border, and they could access information about most matters, large or small.

Because the Ye Family members were helping run errands, Lu Fan and the others were happy to stay comfortably at the Ye Family Residence.

Over these two days, apart from wandering around with Ye Wuxian, everyone also sparred with her.

Although purely in terms of skills in combat, Ye Wuxian could thoroughly defeat everyone including Lu Fan. In terms of raw strength, Lu Fan and the others were naturally stronger.

There was no helping it. Ye Wuxian did not have an Ancient God’s Divine Seat, and she did not have much advantage in Level either, so naturally her strength could not match the others.

After two or three days like this, the servants the Ye Family had sent out returned one after another, bringing back news.

Most of them had not discovered anything unusual. After all, although the Western Border was dangerous with numerous Forbidden Areas, it was relatively stable, with almost no places where Ancient Gods might exist.

However, one person brought back quite important news.

Namely, at the deepest point currently explored in the Western Border, a Supreme Tier Ancient Noble Family had discovered a Dungeon Instance called Flaming Hell.

This Supreme Tier Ancient Noble Family had dispatched their strongest experts, several Fifth Profession Players and a Sixth Profession Ancestor, to Clear it. But ultimately, it ended in failure. They even lost two Fifth Profession Players.

This caused the Supreme Tier Ancient Noble Family heavy losses, but at the same time, it also strengthened their determination to Clear it.

What kind of Rewards would a Dungeon Instance yield, that even a Supreme Tier Ancient Noble Family could not handle?

It might even drop Legendary Grade items!

Even for Supreme Tier Ancient Noble Families, Legendary Grade equipment was rare. The entire Family might only have one or two pieces as heirlooms.

If they could really get a Legendary Grade item to drop, even losing a few experts would not be too much of a loss.

Therefore, this Supreme Tier Ancient Noble Family ultimately decided to invite people from other Ancient Noble Families in the Western Border to join forces and collectively clear this Dungeon Instance.

Their method of selecting allies was also quite simple: just go to this Ancient Noble Family and demonstrate one’s strength. The Family would then let the person know if they were qualified.

This matter had only spread among the Supreme Tier Ancient Noble Families. First Tier and Lower Tier Families did not even know about it.

It was only because the Ye Family’s reputation had recently risen and their status in the Western Border was not low that they had the opportunity to learn of this news.

However, this news did not really have much to do with the Ye Family.

After all, just because others gave face and informed the Ye Family about this did not mean a Second Tier Ancient Noble Family like the Ye Family could actually participate.

To jointly clear the Flaming Hell Dungeon Instance, even ten Ye Families bound together might struggle to gain recognition from those Supreme Tier Ancient Noble Families.

Originally, Ye Wuxian indeed had not taken this matter to heart. But among all the news that came back, only this piece held any real value.

A place that could make even a Supreme Tier Ancient Noble Family suffer such a setback was likely to have some unusual circumstances. Lu Fan felt that since they had nothing else to do anyway, they might as well go take a look.

If there was no Ancient God there, at least they could help Ye Wuxian secure the development rights to a Dungeon Instance and obtain some benefits from the Rewards. It was far better than waiting around at home, right?
