Worthless Profession: Dragon Tamer

Chapter 957, New Body

Translator: Silavin

At this moment, all the metal within the entire Earth Tripartite had been absorbed into this golden sphere.

Simultaneously, Lu Fan could discern that it was not merely absorption. It was far more complex than that.

The Asura King must have compressed and refined all this metal as well. Otherwise, how enormous would the total volume of metal from the entire Earth Tripartite be?

Now, it had only formed this giant golden sphere. Something did not add up.

Although the sphere’s volume was impressive, if all the metal from the Earth Tripartite had condensed here, the metal’s volume definitely could not be just this much.

The golden city wall alone contained more metal than this.

Therefore, Lu Fan could imagine that this golden sphere’s hardness must be far more terrifying than the golden city wall.

It seemed that for the Asura King and the Ancient Gods, the Earth Tripartite was not simply a hiding place. Here, with so much metal serving as their capital for combat, their actual strength would be elevated even higher.

Lu Fan just did not know what goal the opponent had in collecting so much metal.

However, following the principle of caution, Lu Fan did not plan to clash head-on with them.

After all, the opponent consisted of three Ancient Gods. Although each Ancient God’s individual strength was relatively weak, something Lu Fan looked down upon with disdain, as the saying goes, ‘three cobblers combined equal one Zhuge Liang’ (the collective wisdom of ordinary people can exceed that of a single genius). The three Ancient Gods united together, and usurped another’s nest and occupied an ancient era’s Forbidden Area as their own.

Even if Lu Fan was confident he could deal with them, there was no need to let his guard down that much to clash head-on with them without knowing what they were planning.

Lu Fan took advantage of the three Ancient Gods still continuously refining the metal sphere to soar into the air.

He appeared to be flying up into the clouds to overlook the entire metal sphere from above.

But in reality, while passing through a patch of cloud and mist, he had already created an Abyssal Node and entered the Abyssal Space within.

Simultaneously, his Projection manifested from the Abyssal Node, replacing Lu Fan’s position.

In just that instant, Lu Fan completed the switch between his True Body and the Projection.

He was confident the three Ancient Gods had not reacted to what had actually happened. After all, whether through sight or spiritual perception…

Lu Fan’s aura and form almost instantly disappeared and instantly reappeared. Unless they concentrated all their attention entirely on him, they could not possibly detect such peculiarities.

Although it was merely a Projection, Lu Fan’s perception could completely synchronize with it. Therefore, apart from the fact that this Projection’s death would have no effect on Lu Fan whatsoever, it was virtually identical to Lu Fan’s True Body.

Lu Fan controlled it, passing through the cloud layer to arrive directly above the golden sphere. He overlooked this colossal object.

The golden sphere emanated golden radiance and was slowly shrinking.

But as it shrank, Lu Fan could perceive that its hardness was continuously increasing.

After a moment’s thought, Lu Fan had the other Pet Dragons, also Projections, release their Skills at this golden sphere.

Bao Bao, Xiao Ye, Ye Sha, Xing Chen. These Pet Dragons had extremely High Damage Output. They immediately released their Skills, breathing Dragon Breath and attacking this golden sphere.

However, when the Dragon Breath struck the golden sphere, it unexpectedly could not even move it, not even slightly!

As expected, this golden sphere’s metal, after countless compressions and refinements, had reached a terrifyingly extreme hardness.

Even the Pet Dragons’ Minor Skills could barely penetrate it.

Just as Lu Fan was contemplating countermeasures, the golden sphere stopped compressing.

Then it began changing shape, gradually evolving limbs and heads.

Calling them limbs was not quite accurate. Because at the arm positions, a total of six arms extended outward. And it had three heads as well.

Clearly, this golden sphere was reforming into the Asura King’s body.

Moreover, its body would be even more massive and harder than before!

During the golden sphere’s transformation process, the Pet Dragons continued attacking it.

However, it seemed completely unconcerned, its body slowly changing in this manner.

Soon, a giant Asura King finally took form.

Its entire body was forged from metal, over a hundred meters tall, with three heads and six arms, holding all its weapons without exception.

Compared to before, the current Asura King more resembled a towering Buddha statue. It was gigantic, with an overwhelming sense of oppression.

After the new body took form, the giant Asura King’s eyes flashed with brilliant light, as if a Soul had been injected into it.

The voices of the three Ancient Gods also transmitted continuously from within the Asura King’s new body.

“Insignificant insect, you forced us to this! Originally, we wanted to continue lying dormant here, waiting until the time was ripe before going out. But you insisted on forcing us to awaken prematurely. We had no choice.”

“Although we were forced to awaken early, it may not necessarily be a bad thing. Rather than slowly awakening here, we might as well fight our way out, find what we need, and accelerate our awakening speed.”

“I heard that the Fallen Corpse and Holy Mountain Ancient Gods have already awakened in a high profile manner, and are beginning to gather Ancient God Slaves. Although we’re not High Tier Ancient Gods like them, in this era, there’s certainly the possibility of overthrowing them!”

“We’ll descend upon the world with this body, thoroughly becoming Gods, enslaving as many insignificant creatures of this era as possible, making them help us collect all the metal in the world. From now on, our awakening speed will grow faster and faster. We might even become the first to fully awaken! With this body alone, sweeping through all living beings of this era is not a problem!”

“Ant, you’re also from this era. You can only blame yourself for coming to provoke us. If not for you, your era could have lasted at least another hundred years, hehe…”

The three Ancient Gods’ voices were each distinct. At this moment they all laughed together, their voices unbearably grating.

Lu Fan flew in midair, looking down at the massive Asura King below, mocking. “You merely absorbed metal from an ancient era’s ruins. Who gave you the courage to think you can escape from my hands and go enslave Humanity? Want to overthrow our era? You are still far, far away from that!”

“Now, I’ll kill you all here, making you three lose your Divine Seats, never able to live again!” Finishing his words, the chains from the Little Blade Armour Dragon King on his body shot out. Hundreds of chains stabbed toward the Asura King’s body.

However, the opponent’s body’s hardness far exceeded Lu Fan’s imagination.

The Little Blade Armour Dragon King’s chain hooks were incomparably sharp. Yet when striking the Asura King’s body, they were directly bounced away, completely unable to pierce through.
