Chapter 986, A Woman of Ultimate Perfection

However, though the music was pleasant, what truly attracted Lu Fan’s attention was still the young woman playing the harp.

The reason was simple, she was too beautiful.

Lu Fan could honestly say that he had never lacked beautiful women around him.

Like Han Ke, Jian Ying, Tao Xiaoman, and Ye Wuxian at the Western Border. They were all top-tier beauties with completely different temperaments and personalities. So, even when Ning Shuang’er had revealed her feelings, saying she truly had fallen for him, he could remain so unmoved, having absolutely no interest in her beauty.

Having seen so many beautiful women, Lu Fan thought he had basically become immune to beauty. But upon seeing the woman before him, he could not help but freeze, his heart pounding.

She was simply too beautiful. So beautiful that no matter how Lu Fan tried to be critical, he could not pick out even the slightest flaw.

Whether her features, skin, hair quality, figure, or temperament, there were no defects whatsoever.

No, it should not be called ‘no defects’. One could say there was not a single flaw in her.

She was absolutely the Creator’s masterpiece, beautiful enough that she could only be described as a ‘Goddess’. She was the standard of perfection that should not appear in a Human being.

At the same time, draped in white gauze, her slender fingers caressing the harp, she exuded an ethereal aura.

Lu Fan was dazed for a moment, then realized that such a perfect, inhuman-seeming woman definitely could not be Human!

This thought immediately brought Lu Fan to his senses.

Simultaneously, his heart became cautious, because losing himself before a beautiful woman was not something he would do. Yet he had just done exactly that, completely frozen when facing her.

If she had wanted to attack and kill him, the probability of success would have been high just now.

Lu Fan did not think this was merely because she was simply too beautiful. He speculated that perhaps this itself was one of her abilities.

Or perhaps it really was his difficulty escaping a man’s basic nature?

Lu Fan could not ponder much about it, but inwardly he became secretly vigilant.

Whether it was his own problem or hers, a situation like just now could never happen again.

With this thought, Lu Fan steadied his mind and stepped into this crystal palace.

The beautiful woman’s eyes remained slightly closed, her harp-playing motions unchanged. Nimble notes flowed from between her fingers, making one incomparably relaxed.

At the same time, she lightly parted her vermillion lips, her voice equally nimble and clear, like a Goddess. “Among the many men who have seen me, you’re the first to recover this quickly.”

Hearing this, Lu Fan smiled. “So, you did manipulate your appearance to make men lose themselves upon seeing you?”

The Moon Goddess smiled lightly. It was breathtakingly beautiful.

“Actually, I haven’t manipulated anything. It’s just that extreme beauty will indeed make men’s hearts race. My appearance, my figure; they are the apex of beauty in this world. In merely themselves, they’re equivalent to a Charm Skill.”

“And you—” The Moon Goddess opened her eyes, revealing azure pupils like a vast starry sea, beautiful beyond description. “Your mental state is very stable. After seeing me, you could recover your senses this quickly. In the past when I appeared, those followers of mine couldn’t take their eyes off me for a very long time. I think my appearance is probably one reason why they are so loyal to me.”

Saying this, the Moon Goddess stopped playing the harp and touched her own face with a light laugh.

Lu Fan also laughed, shaking his head. “Do you still need to use such methods to control them? I just saw you use your Ancient God Power to forcibly control everyone, making them burn their Life Force to enhance their strength and fight for you. As long as you’re willing, even if you were ugly as sin, they would still be absolutely loyal to you, right?”

“That would be so boring.” The Moon Goddess said. “Compared to using forceful methods to control them, having them willingly follow me brings greater satisfaction. If it weren’t for you intruders breaking into my domain, I would have used some other method to properly make them continue to fight. If it weren’t unavoidable, I truly wouldn’t want to use my Ancient God Power to make them yield. A true God should possess supreme strength, be able to bestow their followers with authority and power, and make them revere and love them. Thus, making them willingly follow me.”

“A Sect established this way is more interesting, isn’t it?” Speaking to this point, the Moon Goddess smiled, even more beautiful and moving. “I also learned this from the Ancient Gods of this era and quite a few from the previous eras. Each of them has their own Sect, receiving offerings and respect. It’s all quite interesting.”

Lu Fan remained silent for a long while, unwilling to waste words with her on how to manage a Sect.

He simply got straight to the point. “So, you’re planning to use this Tsukimi Sect to achieve your plan of awakening, then, participate in the Ancient Gods Struggle For Supremacy?”

“Of course.” The Moon Goddess nodded without denial. However, she then said helplessly, “Originally I planned to gradually develop and expand the Tsukimi Sect, step by step taking control of this small country called Cherry Blossom Country. But who knew that some time ago, Cherry Blossom Country suddenly underwent drastic changes, The entire nation ceased to exist in all but name. My plan could only be temporarily shelved.”

“From then on, I could only temporarily develop on Okino Island, gradually absorbing more members, making them become my slaves, then finding ways to expand my influence and gradually devour Cherry Blossom Country.”

“Although the Cherry Blossom Country exists in name only, the people and resources are still there. I can still harvest them. The only thing I need to be careful of is that in Cherry Blossom Country, there are still other Ancient Gods. I just needed to be careful to avoid contact with the other Ancient Gods, lest their strength be greater than mine and they devour me.”

“Of course, I also left myself a backup plan. Not far from where I lie dormant, there’s another Ancient God. We formed an alliance and agreed to lure the other two Ancient Gods here for us to absorb together. I thought that Ancient God would indeed come, but the one who came was not him.”

“Among all my plans, there are quite a few variables, right?”

Speaking thus far, the Moon Goddess looked toward Lu Fan, clearly indicating that Lu Fan was that variable.

Lu Fan touched his nose, not denying it. “The three Ancient Gods you mentioned, I’ve already killed them all. And because of that, I learned of your whereabouts. So, the purpose of me coming here, I believe you understand.”

The Moon Goddess nodded.

The conversation between both parties was truly frank.
