Worthless Profession: Dragon Tamer

Chapter 973, You Want to Spar With Me!?

Translator: Silavin

After saying this, Mikami Heiji sneered again, his gaze sweeping over Han Ke before he turned and left.

In his imagination, Lu Fan and the others were probably already scared witless by now. After all, although the Mikami Clan was a Hidden Clan, their reputation was quite well known.

Apart from Forces like those made by Kage Tenshi, the Mikami Clan’s strength could definitely be ranked in the first tier.

Ordinary people might not understand or know about the Mikami Clan, but as long as one had some strength in Cherry Blossom Country and could access higher tier Forces, they would know just how powerful the Mikami Clan was.

Since Lu Fan and the others had passed the preliminary test, they presumably were not ordinary Players. Therefore, they should have heard of the Mikami Clan’s prestige.

Mikami Heiji could already imagine just how terrified Lu Fan and the others would be after he left.

Girlfriend!?

Just to protect themselves and ensure they could enter the Tsukimi Sect, wouldn’t they just hand her over obediently?

If they did not, then he, Mikami Heiji, would directly target these people and eliminate them, preventing them from having any chance to join the Tsukimi Sect.

By then, he would be a member of the Tsukimi Sect, while Lu Fan and the others would not.

With the prestige of the Tsukimi Sect, getting any woman would be easy as pie.

Mikami Heiji had no idea that after he left, Lu Fan and the others were indeed experiencing waves of emotion in their hearts. However, these waves were quite different from what he imagined.

“He wants to challenge me!? Seriously?” Lu Fan didn’t know whether to laugh or cry for a moment. It seemed that ever since he gained his Profession, Totem Master, everyone who wanted to ‘spar’ with him had died quite miserably…

He wondered what abilities this Young Master from the Mikami Clan possessed that gave him the audacity to challenge him and even use it as a threat.

Lu Fan felt as if he had heard the biggest joke in the world.

However, he only smiled at this and did not take it to heart.

If the other party truly wanted to fight, then he could only assume the other party had a death wish.

Lu Fan simply stopped paying attention to Mikami Heiji and instead asked Han Ke beside him if she was alright.

Han Ke nodded and complained, “That person just now was really annoying. I was just waiting here quietly for all of you, and he came over insisting on chatting me up. I was polite to him for a few sentences, and he thought he was especially charming, insisting on getting my contact information no matter what I said. No matter how I refused, he thought I was just being reserved… How can there be such an arrogant man…”

Lu Fan also laughed, “Hey, what kind of people don’t exist in this world? Some probably have a bit of ability and think all the women in the world like them…”

“That’s true. I’ve encountered quite a few people like this back in Jianghai City too.” Han Ke nodded in deep agreement, completely failing to notice that she was still holding onto Lu Fan’s arm without letting go.

It was not until she noticed the gazes of Jian Ying and the others that Han Ke belatedly realized, letting out a surprised cry before releasing Lu Fan’s arm, her face flushing red.

Lu Fan coughed lightly and immediately changed the subject, asking, “Oh yeah, Auntie, how did your preliminary test go?”

Mentioning the preliminary test, Han Ke immediately became happy again, saying proudly, “Very smoothly. There weren’t many people registering for the Lifestyle Specialised Profession path, so I didn’t even have to queue much. When it was my turn, I just showed off a little and made two dishes.”

“The dishes were not only delicious but also had great Attribute Enhancement, and after the examiner ate them, he was immediately won over. He swore that I didn’t even need to take any other tests or anything, I could directly join the Tsukimi Sect and work in the kitchen.”

“Huh!?” Everyone was stunned after hearing this.

Who would have thought that the first person to enter the Tsukimi Sect would actually be Han Ke.

But thinking about it, it made sense. Players with powerful Lifestyle Specialised Professions were already rare, so in terms of competition, Han Ke faced far less pressure.

At the same time, Han Ke was a top student from Dragon Capital University. As a Cook, and even an Enchanted Cook, calling her one of the nation’s top ten wouldn’t be an exaggeration.

The things she made were delicious and could Enhance one’s Attributes. She was simply without any flaws. For such talent to catch the eye of the Tsukimi Sect and be directly recruited into the Sect was quite normal.

However, at this moment, Jin Zhan raised a question, frowning, “You cooked in front of them? Won’t those dishes expose your identity as someone from Dragon Country?”

Upon hearing this, the others also came to their senses.

Indeed, Dragon Country cuisine was different from Cherry Blossom Country’s. The recipes Han Ke had mastered were mainly Dragon Country dishes. If Han Ke had immediately whipped up two Dragon Country dishes, wouldn’t these people notice something was wrong?

At this, Han Ke covered her mouth and smiled, saying softly. “I naturally considered this. So, the thing I chose to make was grilled meat. It was the kind of dish that wouldn’t expose our origins. They won’t notice anything.”

“That’s great.” Jin Zhan breathed a sigh of relief, while also admiring her, “I didn’t expect you to be so sharp. I almost thought we were going to be exposed.”

“How could that be!” Han Ke smiled, “I don’t have a Combat Specialised Profession, so I can’t help you all much. But I definitely won’t cause you any trouble.”

At this point, everyone’s preliminary test should have ended, with Han Ke even directly obtaining qualification to join the Sect.

Nearly an hour passed, and more than half of the people here had left. Most people had been eliminated, leaving only decently strong Combat Specialised Players to prepare for the next test.

Soon an examiner came to notify everyone to go to the examination area to prepare.

This time, the test was very simple.

There were three alloy stakes on site. If one were a Damage Dealer, they would attack the first stake to demonstrate their Damage Output capability.

If one were a Tank, they would let the second stake attack them to demonstrate their Defence.

If one were a Supporter, they would release their Support Skills on the third stake, showing whether they were Buffers or Debuffers.

And if one were a hybrid type, they could also use all three stakes together to demonstrate their all-rounder capabilities.

In short, each stake would display a score value. If the score exceeded the passing grade, they could enter the final test.

The Players in front queued up one by one, demonstrating their strength at the three stakes.

The passing score was one thousand points, and reaching this score did not seem easy.

Several people before them only scored a few hundred points, still quite far from one thousand.

It was not until a Third Profession Players, equipped entirely in Platinum Grade equipment, released a Third Profession Skill that someone barely scored one thousand and thirteen points, just barely passing.
