Worthless Profession: Dragon Tamer

Chapter 987, My Body Is Also Most Perfect

Translator: Silavin

“So you’ve come for my Divine Seat?” The Moon Goddess once again gently stroked the harp, as if merely to pass time. “Your purpose? Is it to achieve victory in the Ancient Gods Struggle For Supremacy and become the God King, or to… save this era?”

“I can sense that your Ancient God Power isn’t stable. You should have only recently obtained your Divine Seat, right? Generally, New Gods like you all want to protect your own era and oppose the other Ancient Gods. Although changes of Divine Seat aren’t common, they’re not unheard of. I’ve seen many.”

Hearing this, Lu Fan became interested and asked. “So it seems you’ve lived through many eras.”

The Moon Goddess smiled. “Of course.”

“It has been so long that I myself have forgotten when I became an Ancient God. At least in my memory, among all Ancient Gods, there probably aren’t that many who have possessed Divine Seats longer than I have. Even some High Tier Ancient Gods possessed their Divine Seats several eras later than I did. Saying I’m the Ancient God who has possessed my Divine Seat for the longest might not be wrong. Even if not the longest, I’m one of the longest.”

Lu Fan could not help but reassess her strength. After all, the older an Ancient God, the craftier they were. Having been an Ancient God for so long, she must have something exceptional about her. She was definitely different from the several Ancient Gods he had killed before and the Darkness Ancient God.

“So you’re a High Tier Ancient God?” Lu Fan asked.

The Moon Goddess shook her head. “Sort of.”

“But, among High Tier Ancient Gods, my strength should be the weakest. Even you, as the new Abyssal Ancient God, though only one of the Mid Tier Ancient Gods, in terms of strength, you should also be above me.” Pausing, she continued. “The designation of High Tier, Mid Tier and Low Tier Ancient Gods isn’t actually linked to strength. Among the thirty-six Ancient Gods, the first twelve Ancient Gods to be killed are just labelled as Low Tier Ancient Gods. The next twelve are Mid Tier Ancient Gods. The remaining twelve who continue competing in the Ancient Gods Struggle For Supremacy are High Tier Ancient Gods.”

“Speaking of which, does living a long time really mean being strong? At least I’m not. My Ancient God Power can’t be compared to other High Tier Ancient Gods, or even some powerful Mid Tier Ancient Gods. I merely don’t enjoy participating in the Ancient Gods Struggle For Supremacy, so I just avoid it as much as possible.”

“Because of this, I’m not the strongest, but I’m… well, to use the terminology of your current era, I’m the most cautious. So every Ancient Gods Struggle For Supremacy, I end up as a High Tier Ancient God.”

Lu Fan smiled and shook his head. “If that’s the case, then it seems rather unfortunate now that in this era, you might fall to become a Low Tier Ancient God.”

“No, that’s not quite right either. I’ll seize your Divine Seat. Your Divine Seat might be one of the last to fall in this era. Or perhaps your Divine Seat will survive this era forever. Who knows. In any case, all of this won’t have anything to do with you anymore.”

The Moon Goddess let out a long sigh, her beautiful eyes glancing at Lu Fan with considerable resentment. “So, your purpose in coming here today is to kill me?”

Lu Fan showed no mercy for the fairer sex and nodded. “That’s right.”

The Moon Goddess sighed again. “I can tell that your purpose should be to preserve this era and resist the Ancient Gods Struggle For Supremacy, which would destroy this world. But, you actually don’t need to act against me at all.”

“As I said, the reason I can become a High Tier Ancient God every time is because I myself have no interest in the Ancient Gods Struggle For Supremacy. What I want is to merely live a bit longer and see how interesting this era’s people and the World Mechanics are.”

Saying this, she stopped playing the harp and spread her arms. “Look, I created such a place with the intention of becoming a Goddess here and live until the very last moment of this era’s transition. If you didn’t come looking for me, I would never leave this place. I would only occupy this small corner, where it is impossible to have any impact on this world. So why must you act against me instead of seeking other Ancient Gods?”

“In fact, I could even consider joining you to deal with the other Ancient Gods and preserve this era. After all, I truly do love this era.”

Hearing this, Lu Fan’s eyes flickered, as if somewhat persuaded.

He fell silent for a moment, then suddenly smiled. “What you say does have some merit. Compared to killing you, having you as an ally might be a better choice. Your appearance is far more beautiful than the other Ancient Gods. To just kill you like this, this world would lose its undisputed top beauty.”

“Hehehehe…” The Moon Goddess laughed charmingly. Even her laughter was utterly captivating.

After her laughter subsided slightly, the Moon Goddess sent Lu Fan an amorous glance. “So you’re also a man of passion. No wonder. Actually, you only recently obtained an Ancient God Divine Seat, so naturally you still have your base emotions and desires. Otherwise, you wouldn’t be thinking of protecting this era, would you? Very well. Merely liking my appearance is an inconsequential matter to me.”

With that, she descended from her seat. With a light beckoning gesture, the crystal beside her immediately transformed, becoming a large bed.

The Moon Goddess sat on the bed and said to Lu Fan. “If you like, I can stay with you forever. You can do whatever you want. My body, not only is its exterior the most perfect in the world, but other aspects are equally flawless, able to give you many sensations that ordinary Humans can never provide.”

The meaning of this invitation was already extremely obvious.

Lu Fan smiled and actually walked toward the Moon Goddess.

Coming before the bed, the Moon Goddess rose, about to throw herself into Lu Fan’s embrace. She was extremely proactive.

Lu Fan also extended his hand, as if to undo her clothing.

However, at this moment, Lu Fan’s arm suddenly transformed into Dragon Claw. Thrusting forward, the chain hooks from the Little Blade Armour Dragon King, acting as his armour, shot out from Lu Fan’s Dragon Claw, piercing into the Moon Goddess’ body.

Caught completely off guard, the Moon Goddess was seized by Lu Fan, blood spattering across her body.

“You…” Her face showed disbelief, a fierce expression surfacing.

Lu Fan gripped her tightly. The chain hooks coiled round after round, binding her tightly.

“Your methods are somewhat more sophisticated than the other Ancient Gods.” Lu Fan smiled. “I originally thought you Ancient Gods all acted without any brains. They have so far done nothing more than threaten me when they could not win a fight, or promise to grant someone an era when they couldn’t even achieve it themselves, trying to buy me off.
