Worthless Profession: Dragon Tamer

Chapter 996, Who’s In Love With You?

Translator: Silavin

The Western Border was vast and boundless, filled everywhere with unexplored territories.

Even some of the powerful Supreme Tier Ancient Noble Families found it difficult to completely develop certain territories, and exploit its resources.

At the root of it all was because the Western Border had many Forbidden Areas that might contain powerful Divine Beings.

One must know that powerful Ancient Noble Families, like the Murong Family, had Fifth Profession Players presiding over them.

Some Supreme Tier Ancient Noble Families might even have actual Divine Beings!

Even they could not set foot in all the Forbidden Areas of the Western Border, which was enough to demonstrate just how many terrifying existences the Western Border contained.

Being valued by so many Ancient Noble Families, who then negotiated with Dragon Country to station their Families here, was sufficient proof of the Western Border’s abundant resources!

Such a place was undoubtedly the best location for training Jian Ying and the others.

First, it could rapidly increase the Experience Points they could gain.

Second, combat against Divine Beings would also refine their combat prowess and application of Ancient God Power, truly killing three birds with one stone.

This was far more useful than having them continue walking to the Western Border.

After Lu Fan explained his thinking, the others considered it and felt it indeed made sense. Comparatively, walking west from where they were would actually waste most of their time.

This dirty, arduous journey was not something they actually enjoyed.

Therefore, Lu Fan’s proposal received everyone’s unanimous approval.

Consequently, everyone used Lu Fan’s Transport Array to head to Ye Family in the Western Border.

Before going to Ye Family, Lu Fan contacted Ye Wuxian to inform her of their group’s upcoming visit.

Upon learning this, Ye Wuxian was overjoyed. Because it had been a very long time since she last saw Lu Fan, Jian Ying and the others.

During this period, Ye Wuxian had been handling the Ye Family’s various affairs, both large and small, already missing the days when she was together with Lu Fan and the others at Dragon Capital University.

Learning that Lu Fan’s group was coming, she immediately stated that she would make proper arrangements at the Ye Family.

Hearing this, Lu Fan could not help but laugh, saying his group was not coming as guests for leisure. So, what was there to prepare?

Ye Wuxian was stubborn, saying ‘Mind your own business,’ then hung up the phone.

Lu Fan was helpless and could only let her do as she pleased.

After resting for two days, Lu Fan led Han Ke and the others, departing for the Western Border.

Arriving at the Ye Family, when the servants saw Lu Fan, they immediately greeted him respectfully with utmost deference.

After all, to the Ye Family, Lu Fan might not be the Patriarch, but he was as good as one. Who would dare show him any disrespect?

Led by the Ye Family servants to the main hall of the Ye Family Residence, Lu Fan’s group saw Ye Wuxian.

The current Ye Wuxian, perhaps because she had lived in the Western Border for too long, had changed into ancient Dragon Country style clothing, looking even more ethereal.

However, she remained as radiant as before. Seeing Lu Fan’s group arrive, she became even happier, her complexion rosy and even more beautiful than before.

“You’ve finally arrived! Ah, I’ve missed you all so much!” Ye Wuxian quickly walked out from the main hall, embracing Han Ke and the others, jumping around like a young girl.

This excitement was not feigned. The other girls were equally delighted, holding hands and chattering endlessly.

The topic naturally turned to the Divine Seats that Jian Ying and the others had obtained.

Before coming, Lu Fan had already told Ye Wuxian about the Divine Seats. After all, Lu Fan wanted to utilize some of the Ye Family’s resources to charge up Han Ke’s Ancient God Power, granting her more power to protect herself.

Therefore, he had basically told Ye Wuxian everything that had happened during this period.

After briefly demonstrating their Ancient God Powers, Ye Wuxian was astonished beyond measure, finding it hard to imagine that the Divine Seats, which gave Dragon Country such headaches, had been successively obtained by her ‘Fellow Sisters’.

Moreover, previously she had been the strongest among everyone, but now after just a few days apart, she had become the weakest instead.

She did not feel envious though. She simply felt everything had changed far too quickly.

After chatting for a while, Ye Wuxian suddenly realized she had kept everyone standing there without even a place to sit, which was not hospitable enough.

She smiled apologetically. “Look at me, getting so carried away chatting with everyone that I forgot to invite you inside. Come, I’ve arranged an ancient Dragon Country feast inside, I hope it suits your tastes. We can eat and chat then. If we haven’t finished chatting after the meal, then let’s go to Lu Fan’s Fortune Glowing Spring to soak and chat!”

This proposal received everyone’s approval.

Consequently, Han Ke and the others entered the banquet location with laughter and conversation, simultaneously marvelling at how wealthy Ye Wuxian’s Ye Family truly was.

This ancient Dragon Country Residence could not be seen anywhere else in Dragon Country.

Ye Wuxian walked at the back, naturally closest to Lu Fan.

During this time, Ye Wuxian repeatedly glanced at Lu Fan, the longing in her eyes almost impossible to conceal.

Lu Fan’s heart stirred at the sight, but he did not know how to comfort her.

After thinking about it, Lu Fan simply changed the subject, saying in a low voice, “I mentioned to you before about you obtaining a Divine Seat, right? When I secure the next Divine Seat, I’ll give it to you.”

Ye Wuxian thought about it and smiled faintly. “Either way is fine. Actually, just having you come here and letting me see you again is enough for me.”

Hearing this, Lu Fan smiled. “The way you say that makes you sound like some wronged Wife.”

“Is there a difference?” Like a young girl, Ye Wuxian pouted slightly. “After leaving the Western Border, you really haven’t come for a very long time!”

“But… If I obtain a Divine Seat, that would be great. That way, I could help you in battle in the future, be with you, and not have to stay alone in the Western Border all the time. Recently, the Western Border has been too peaceful. There’s actually no need for me to constantly watch over things here. Being able to stay by your side like Sister Han, Xiao Ying, and Xiao Qiu wouldn’t be bad either.”

“You actually think this way?” Lu Fan was slightly surprised, then laughed. “You’ve really become a bit lovesick now.”

“Drop dead!” Being called out like this, Ye Wuxian’s face immediately flushed. She elbowed Lu Fan, making him grimace. “Who’s lovesick? You’re talking as if I’m in love with you.”

Lu Fan glanced at the Never-Melting Ice necklace at Ye Wuxian’s chest that he had given her, smiling without speaking.

Soon, everyone arrived at where the banquet was being hosted.
