Chapter 1132: Chapter 388: Secrets of the School (Part 4)

At first glance of the primary Control Core, Rein was reminded of those circuit boards from his past life, similar to the cartridges used in gaming consoles like the ones from the nineties.

However, the making of this technology is quite challenging, with a high demand for precision. Currently, the Bixiu Mechanization School represents the Empire’s highest level of craftsmanship in this area, yet they can only produce the primary Control Core.

As for the medium and advanced Control Cores noted in ancient texts, they remain in the exploratory phase.

This also explains why the metal arm remnant Rein obtained from Iron Man was worth 3,700 Contribution Points.

According to Mentor Mogaro, the Eagle Federation is ahead of the Empire in terms of manufacturing precision. Of course, it’s also possible that the Federation discovered an important relic of the Ancient Goblin Empire and absorbed the relevant technologies.

The other matter concerns the Wizard School’s secrets.

Originally, the Empire’s Wizard School had an important responsibility, which was to guard the Secret Realm.

But in Rein’s opinion, this so-called Secret Realm seems more like a passageway or a seal.

For instance, the Bixiu Mechanization School, along with another medium-sized Wizard School—Shandelle School—is jointly responsible for the Secret Realm known as ”Furious Flame Canyon.”

”Have you heard? The biannual rotation time for Furious Flame Canyon is coming up, and Senior Trevor is about to return,” Joseph suddenly thought of something and said.

”This time, our Metal Series probably won’t be able to send anyone. You’re not up for it, Audrey and I can’t do it, and Rein just arrived, so even more impossible.”

”Sigh, I wonder how the mentor will arrange things then?” Joseph sighed and said.

”Oh? Can you elaborate?” Rein was a bit interested and asked.

”Deep in Furious Flame Canyon, it’s said there’s a subterranean rift from Ancient Times that occasionally releases unusual things onto the surface,”

”The most common of which is something called the Evil Fire Element, extremely savage,”

”Without reaching the Peak of a First Level Wizard and mastering witchcraft combat skills, there’s no way to withstand it,” Joseph explained.

”Exactly, so to participate in the rotation and garrison at Furious Flame Canyon, the minimum requirement is the Peak of a First Level Wizard,” Alicia said seriously for once.

”It’s usually assigned in turns here at the school, and we in the Metal Series have to send someone each time.”

”And if there’s no one available, what will happen?” Rein couldn’t help but ask.

”Two scenarios: either Mentor Mogaro goes personally, or if other departments have the capacity to help, then we in the Metal Series will have to compromise a large portion of research funding to have the other departments take the lead.”

”I see.” Rein nodded.

But this approach is actually worse because the reduction in funds will place the training of wizard apprentices in the Metal Series in an awkward position, making it even harder for any wizard to stand out.

This is really a vicious cycle.

”Speaking of battle, hey, Rein junior, you’ve been here for some time now. Let’s head to the Training Room and let sister see your Battle Puppet control skills,” Alicia’s eyes suddenly brightened as she looked at Rein.

”Oh, yes, Rein junior, let’s go. You can’t just master making puppets; for a wizard, battle is a very important aspect,” Joseph echoed.

”This... it might be unnecessary.” Rein hesitated slightly and said.

But this reaction was interpreted by Alicia and Joseph as fear of losing, understanding it as young people wanting to save face, which was entirely normal.

However, Audrey knew precisely what was going on. Seeing Rein looking slightly troubled, she immediately said, ”Rein... since the junior doesn’t want to, let’s leave it at that.”

”Come on! Don’t be afraid to lose. You’ve helped sister several times; sister will also guide you in puppet control! Hehe~” Alicia chuckled, patting her chest with a soft laugh.
