Chapter 1115: Chapter 383: The Strongest Legendary

He finally understood why the architecture was designed in this form.

Each of the fierce species has its own sense of territory. If two get too close, and their owners are absent, a fight will occur unless there is a huge difference in strength and one side voluntarily concedes or submits.

Therefore, a relatively spacious area is needed to accommodate these large flying mounts.

At this moment, as Rein lifted his eyes for a quick scan, he noticed that many people here were either wearing exquisite Knight Armor or Wizard Robes. Judging by the aura sensed, their strength was quite formidable, with Quasi-Legendary being rare and most possessing the power of a Senior Legend.

“Lord Rein, are you surprised? There are seven or eight Third Level Crystallization Wizards here, which are rarely seen outside, and a cluster of Titled Knights as well,” Luther said with a smile, noticing Rein’s slightly astonished expression.

“Yes, those participating in the Dragon Knight Reserve assessment are stronger than I expected,” Rein nodded.

The group in front of him was essentially the elite or mainstay of the Empire’s youthful generation.

But then again, it made sense.

If they didn’t possess Legendary strength, even if they managed to gain the favor of a Giant Dragon, it would be nearly impossible to fight alongside the dragon to form a complete Epic combat power.

“That’s Prince Kelly’s second son, Evan Kelly, 42 years old, a Titled Knight; and that is Jerry Moore, from the Moore Guardian family, 53 years old, considered one of the youngest Crystallization Wizards in the Imperial City…”

Having had previous experience, Luther was quite familiar with some of the older faces, and he briefly pointed them out to Rein and Halowin.

Hmm? 53?

Rein could comprehend being 42 and considered young, but 53 seemed a bit too old.

However, Rein thought it over and realized that for a Third Level Crystallization Wizard, indeed, 53 was quite young. It should be noted that Winterfort Academy’s principal Batalov was over a hundred years old and also at the Crystallization Wizard level.

“This time, I’ve heard there are three spots for official Dragon Knights, attracting more Legendary Strongmen than in previous years. But, we shouldn’t worry much as long as we make it into the top thirty,” observed Luther with a slight shrug.

“Ultimately, it depends on whether the Giant Dragon fancies you,” said Luther with a shrug.

The final Dragon Knight selection was not humans choosing dragons; rather, it was mainly dragons choosing humans.

This reserve selection was equivalent to an initial screening, selectively picking out a batch for the dragons to choose from.

The principle of many people but few dragons was evident.

“You and Rein needn’t worry, but I feel uncertain; the registration lasts for three days, and this is just the first day. I estimate the number of registrants this time will exceed a hundred, making it tough for me to get into the top thirty,” Halowin sighed.

Halowin was considerably younger than Luther, although also a Titled Knight, yet slightly lacking in combat power.

“Three spots?” Rein was more interested in the number of spots Luther just mentioned. He was unclear if this was considered many or few.

“Yes, the Dragon Knight selections are held once every five years. In the past, there were at most two spots, and most of the time, only one spot,” Luther explained.

“Indeed, this is considered a lot. Giant Dragons have long lifespans, though their strength is formidable, reproducing offspring is difficult, and their growth rate is extremely slow compared to humans, taking several decades just to reach adolescence,” Halowin nodded in agreement.

Soon, as the three chatted along, they arrived at a registration point.

There, several female staff members dressed in standard white robes were busy at the counter, and from the aura, they seemed to possess Third Level Wizard Apprentice strength.

Indeed, some fierce species’ auras are extremely violent, especially dragons, making ordinary people shiver at their presence, completely incapable of conducting normal work.

“Are the three of you here to register?” a young white-robed woman slightly bowed with respect.

“Yes,” Luther nodded, simultaneously handing over the official letter in his hand to her.

“Alright, please wait a moment while I register you,” the woman respectfully took the document and quickly proceeded with registration.

“That’s it; it’s done. Here, three sirs, is the pass for the Dragon Knight Reserve Camp. Please take care of it,” the white-robed woman handed them a piece of grayish-white scale, slightly smaller than a palm.

“After registration, the training is not secluded; you may leave anytime if you have official duties or choose to participate in portions that interest you.”

“However, be sure to carry the pass; otherwise, entry to the camp is impossible.”

“Alright, thank you,” Luther nodded, taking the scale and prepared to leave with Rein and Halowin.

“Is that all?” Rein couldn’t help but ask, while he examined the camp pass Luther handed him. It seemed to be the scale of some kind of dragon, but probably not a Giant Dragon.

“Yes, if you need, you can come to the Dragon Knight Reserve Camp to practice flying skills anytime. Flying skills will be part of the assessment,” noted Luther, knowledgeable about the procedure.

“The rest is general knowledge about dragon-type creatures, which you can choose to attend or skip,” Luther smoothly explained.

“I see,” Rein nodded in understanding.

Soon after, the three headed back, but as Rein reached the doorway of his residence, he received a communication from his mentor Mogaro.

So, Rein bid farewell to Luther and Halowin and proceeded to Craige Brewing. After a ripple passed through the cellar, he arrived again at the Bixiu Mechanization School’s headquarters.
