Chapter 1117: Chapter 383: The Strongest Legendary (Part 3)

Rein naturally knew what Edward was referring to, he smiled, but said nothing.

“Sit down and talk, this is Major General Tatia, you should have met her once,” Admiral Edward pointed to the female Major General beside him and said.

“Hello, Lord Rein.”

“Hello, Major General Tatia.”

Observing this scene, Rein vaguely grasped something.

It seemed that Admiral Edward and General Augustus were likely aligned, but as for the nature of this alignment, he was not quite sure.

It could be the allegiance to the Emperor or a certain prince, or perhaps some political faction.

“Specific matters, let Major General Tatia talk to you.”

“Alright, Admiral Edward.” Rein nodded and sat across from the two.

“Lord Rein, your recent actions have stirred up the hornet’s nest of the Conservative Party nobles, especially the Drum Family; they haven’t suffered such a loss in a long time.”

“We previously received accurate intelligence and intercepted the enemy’s attack concerning the Nome Province’s Blade squad, as well as their attempt to seize evidence.”

“The current situation is that the enemy might directly target you.”

“Conservative Party?” Rein frowned slightly, catching a key phrase.

Ever since he came to the Imperial City Tamriel, he has been focused on improving his strength, not very concerned about politics.

Although he wasn’t very familiar with the current political factions within the Empire, his five thousand years of cultural background from his previous life helped him infer quite a bit from the term Conservative Party.

Where there is a Conservative Party, naturally there will be Reform Faction, or something like Reformists.

“Indeed, the Conservative Party, represented by some of the Empire’s old nobles, is highly resistant to everything coming from the Federation.”

“Lord Rein, you should have heard that the cannons from the Federation shoot farther than ours, their naval warships are being fitted with iron armor, and their airships are powered by a device called steam power.”

“And for these new technologies, the Conservative Party resists them all, believing that the use and spread of these technologies will affect their interests.”

“However, within the Empire, especially in the military, many leaders are very worried about this situation; now the Empire’s ordinary military capabilities have clearly lagged behind the Federation.”

“Especially in the past two years, the situation has become increasingly turbulent; if the Divine forces were to awaken and target a human nation, would they choose the weak Empire or the strong Federation?”

Actually, by this point, Rein basically understood what was happening.

The Dragan Empire has been passed down for over two thousand years, although corruption from entrenched class structures runs rampant and various interest groups vie against each other, there are insightful individuals within, especially in combat divisions.

Rein glanced at Admiral Edward beside him; clearly, the opponent is very likely a member of the Reformists.

Of course, in the eyes of the Conservative Party, he is also a member of the Reformists.

However, truth be told, having seen much of the battles between the Reformists and Conservative Party in the history books of his previous life, Rein is not particularly interested in this, nor does he want to be used as a tool.

But since the so-called Conservative Party wants to target him, then apologies, he can only stand with the Reformists for now.

However, Rein is very clear that this is an Extraordinary World, and the Dragan Empire is a monarchy; any reform here is far more difficult than the ‘Hundred Days Reform.’

A great figure of his previous life once said, ‘Power comes from the barrel of a gun!’

According to Rein’s understanding, this phrase is equivalent to ‘only those with top-notch combat power have a voice,’ hence why he constantly strives to improve his combat strength.

“And Lord Rein, you might not know, your recent actions inadvertently hit a sensitive spot for the enemy; now, they sent me to ask about your next plan?”

“Oh? They seek my opinion? I suppose they already have a general decision on this matter, is my opinion important?” Rein raised his eyebrow and said.

“Haha, Lord Rein, being so young yet possessing extraordinary strength, the decision from above is to fully respect your opinion.”

“If you wish to step back, then they will transfer you to serve in a remote area of the military, where the Conservative Party’s influence does not reach very far. Your family will also be properly settled, with guarantees for their safety.”

“If you wish to confront these families, we will fully support you. Rest assured, we will be your strong backing.”

“Understood.” Rein nodded, his eyes flickering, quickly contemplating.

Going to a remote area to hide?

Although away from the vortex of struggles, it’s also away from the resource center, greatly reducing the pace of improving his strength.

More importantly, he can only gain substantial system rewards through battle.

Thus, unless absolutely necessary, Rein will not choose this option.

“If I choose the latter, is there a concrete plan?” Rein asked.

“We plan to lift your restrictions in a few days. According to reliable information, once you leave the Imperial City Tamriel, you will face attacks. We hope you can deliver a fierce lesson to the Conservative Party.”

“The enemy has currently gathered a certain number of Legendary Strongmen, among whom the most noteworthy is the one known as the strongest, ‘Carver’ Harold.”

Hmm? Strongest Legendary?

Then he’s still at the Legendary Level?

Upon hearing this news, Rein couldn’t help but show a peculiar expression and said: “Major General Tatia, are you sure they won’t send an Epic Strongman?”
