The upcoming knighthood ceremony had nothing to do with the King. The Lake God Witch, possessed by the Lake Fairy, took charge of the entire process. Amidst the countless admiring gazes, she personally pinned the Second-class Iris Medal onto Laine’s chest.

Then, the Goddess’s divine power surged, and the Holy Grail Knight Badge on Laine’s chest appeared with golden wings, a testament to his promotion to Knight Commander.

The ceremony continued. With the possession of the Lake Fairy, this already grand ceremony was endowed with a sacred and mysterious aura.

Richard also knelt down with all the other knights. At this moment, this Mission Knight didn’t seem like a King at all; instead, his status was even lower than that of the Holy Grail Knights.

The fact that he could not become a Holy Grail Knight had always been a pain in his heart. This Duke Anglong took on the Holy Grail Trials three times, putting down his cavalry lance, riding his warhorse, packing his luggage, just like all knights yearning for the Holy Grail, he attempted it as well, reaching as far as the Empire.

For various reasons, he ultimately did not succeed.

And now, the Lake Fairy, in such a manner, clearly told him: I am not satisfied with how you’ve handled this matter!

But what else could he do? Should he watch the royal power fall away? Watch as the dukes in his country gesture and criticize in his Throne Hall?

In this Kingdom, no one can defy the will of the Lady, and Richard could only prostrate on the ground.

After a complete and solemn knighthood ceremony, the Lake Fairy did not release her possession. On the contrary, she stayed with great interest, witnessing Laine’s performance firsthand.

Equestrian skills, swordsmanship, and cavalry lance, these are the three basic skills of a knight. A knight being bestowed must demonstrate his corresponding strength.

In full view of everyone, Laine mounted his pure-blooded Elf Warhorse, accepting a cavalry lance from his escort.

Under the knight’s skillful handling, the Pure-blooded Elf Warhorse Grapes communicated seamlessly with its master, man and horse crossed various obstacles, charging directly towards where the target lay.

A string of iron rings had long been set up before the entrance of the Royal Palace.

Laine was not someone who often used a cavalry lance, but the champion of the Lake Fairy never let the Goddess down. The long spear flashed, tearing through the air, with two iron rings already hung on the cavalry lance.

Then came three, five, eight.

With the charge ending and the hooves lifting, Laine’s cavalry lance was covered with twelve iron rings.

The Divine Chosen Champion conquered all the knights observing in the Royal Palace with his masterful skills.

Historically, training with the cavalry lance was an extremely difficult task. A qualified knight had to start learning how to use a cavalry lance from the age of eleven or twelve. This long-handled weapon, two to three meters in length, remains an unchanging choice for knights both in Brittania and the Empire, but mastering it skillfully is a very challenging lesson. At the full speed of a warhorse, a knight must use this long-handled weapon to accurately hit the weak points of enemy armor with a coin-sized spear tip, a feat very difficult to accomplish without years of training.

Because of this, training an excellent knight is a long process requiring significant human and material resources and several years, but once trained, the group charge of knights became a strategic treasure in determining the dynamics of war and achieving victory.

The Royal Palace was filled with cheers, but the Lake Fairy was not yet satisfied; such level of equestrian skills and lance techniques could be achieved by any Holy Grail Knight.

”Clang!” The Lake Fairy drew a short sword.

”Lady?” The Lake Fairy’s actions elicited tension and attention from the surrounding Holy Grail Knights. The Lake Fairy smiled gently and did not issue any instructions; instead, she gently rolled up her golden long hair.

The short sword was held in the Goddess’s hand. A strand of hair was cut off by the Lake Fairy using the short sword, and then in full view of everyone, the Lake Fairy gently wove her hair into a small hair ring.

This hair ring was only about five centimeters in diameter. The Lake Fairy said nothing; she extended her delicate hand and casually threw the hair ring off the viewing platform.

The golden hair ring flew out from the viewing platform in the cool autumn air. Countless knights’ eyes moved with the trajectory of this hair ring.

Their gazes were fervent, eager, filled with all the lifelong expectations of countless knights. If it weren’t for Laine’s ongoing performance, many young knights might have desperately scrambled for this hair ring, as it was a blessing from the Goddess!

”Go!” No one understood the Lake Fairy’s intention more than Laine. After the Lake Fairy made this gesture, the Divine Chosen Champion immediately urged his horse forward, with the Pure-blooded Elf Warhorse Grapes taking its steps, the Holy Grail Knight and his warhorse charged again.

The cavalry lance was raised high until it gradually lay flat. A streak of silver-gray lightning roared past the front of the viewing platform, raising a cloud of dust.

The Lake Fairy remained indifferent, and she even had the time to converse with Mogiana: ”Mogiana, did you enjoy last night’s experience?”

”My Lady!” The body of the Lake God Witch, controlled by the Lake Fairy, felt embarrassed when confronted with this question: ”I was following your oracle...”
