Warhammer Divine Throne

The Lake God Witch Mogiana merely brought a few messages.

Firstly, according to the Lady’s oracle, in recognition of his merits in this chivalric war, Laine Macado has officially been promoted to Holy Grail Knight Commander.

Then, with a cold expression, Mogiana asked, ”Your Graces the Dukes, the meeting has been going on for several days. Have you reached a conclusion yet?”

”We need further discussion, Your Highness Mogiana,” Richard nodded, the King’s attitude was rather serious: ”This concerns the matter of future rewards and penalties.”

”Are eight days not enough for you to reach a conclusion?” Who knew Mogiana was unimpressed by the King, she merely said lightly: ”Laine is the Lady’s Divine Chosen Champion, the Lady has other matters for him to handle. How long do you intend to keep him here?”

”...” The dukes fell silent, realizing they had indeed spent too much time on the matter of rewards and penalties. Since learning of the annihilation of the Knightly Army, they had been in discussion, and spending such a significant amount of time without a result was indeed unreasonable.

”Please conclude the negotiations promptly.” With that, Mogiana raised the Potion Chalice in her hand and turned to leave.

Thus, a day later, the dukes finally managed to reach a consensus.

The Brittania Court officially announced the details of the war to the outside world. As Laine had imagined, the details of the war had been heavily ”processed.” After embellishment, Angxi Desmond became the hero of the Knightly War. Everything was planned, this young knight ordered Laine not to return for aid, leading the Knightly Army and the Beastman Army to perish together, securing enough time for the Right Army to successfully ambush Ten Thousand Demon Rock.

In honor of this, Angxi Desmond was posthumously awarded the title of ”Grand Duke of Glasgow,” a First-class Grand Cross Medal, and a state funeral will be held soon.

At the same time, the rewards for Laine were also finalized.

The Lady of the Lake’s Divine Chosen Champion received a total of three rewards.

Firstly, he officially ascended from an ordinary Holy Grail Knight to Holy Grail Knight Commander.

Secondly, Laine was awarded a Second-class Iris Medal.

Lastly, he received a substantial material reward of fifteen hundred Gold Crowns and fifty sets of brand-new sergeant’s armor.

Laine found this outcome satisfactory, as fifteen hundred Gold Crowns were equivalent to two years’ income from his territory, and the value of fifty sets of sergeant’s armor was significant. However, given his ample loot from Ten Thousand Demon Rock, this was not what he valued most.

What he truly valued was the Second-class Iris Medal and the status of Holy Grail Knight Commander.

Brittania places high importance on honor, and a Second-class Iris Medal is akin to Laine having completed half of his promotion path. Should he achieve another significant merit, everyone would have to consider his advancement in rank.

As a Knight Commander, even more significant, Laine now held the ability to summon ranger knights throughout the kingdom for war, unbounded by his fief. The ranger knights who long to win honor and prestige can gather under the Holy Grail Knight Commander’s call to fight for the Lady.

On the last day of September, a grand promotion ceremony will be held at the Royal Palace in Kulona, where numerous knights and nobles will witness the investiture and promotion ceremony of Laine Macado, the Holy Grail Knight.

The night before, Laine was instructed to cleanse his entire body with clean hot water, and after bathing, donned the standard attire of Brittania nobility with the assistance of several beautiful Lake God Prophets. A cloak of white adorned with a golden chalice, handmade by the prophets, was draped over the Holy Grail Knight’s shoulders.

Afterward, accompanied by Duke Francois, Julius, and Surya, Laine made his way to the Holy Grail Cathedral to pray and rest, ensuring his spirit remained pure.

As expected, the Holy Grail Cathedral provided the most gracious accommodations for the Lady of the Lake’s Divine Chosen Champion, with Laine staying in a lavishly decorated room equipped with all necessary amenities.

Upon completing a series of ceremonies, it was already late at night. As Laine lay on the soft velvet bed, about to rest, a knock came at his door: ”Lord Laine, it’s Mogiana, I have some matters to discuss with you. Do you have the time?”

”Of course! Your Highness Mogiana!” Laine immediately opened the door, and there stood Mogiana, around 1.65 meters tall, wearing a white silk butterfly-length gown: ”Good evening, Champion of the Lady.”

”Good evening, Your Highness Mogiana, please have a seat.” Laine stepped aside, allowing Mogiana to gracefully float from the room’s exterior and sit upon a chair made of cherry wood.

The Lake God Witch shared some similarities in appearance to the Lake Fairy, yet her face bore more haughtiness, coldness, and a wild aura, alongside an unmistakable sacred inviolability. Before Laine, her haughtiness and coldness somewhat subsided, appearing more passionate, yet her voice maintained a sense of distance.

”By the Lady’s oracle, I have come personally to declare the Lady’s will, Champion of the Lady.” Mogiana said to Laine.

”Thank you very much, Your Highness Mogiana, for conveying the Lady’s oracle personally.” Laine’s expression was somewhat unusual; regardless, the Lake God Witch’s visit at this hour, especially on the eve of the investiture, was unexpected.
