Chapter 997: The Issue!

”The quality will decrease with crossing every level, so how long will it take an early Divine Transformation beast with ultimate quality to reach the Higher God level with the best resources?” Fidel asked.

”Three years if the beast crosses the threshold of the True God in less than three months,” Aakesh replied after thinking about the question.

”Good, itʼs a great growth rate for even a top race.” Fidel nodded in appreciation.

”Since you donʼt seem to lie, I will trust you,” Fidel added. He then turned around and went toward the room at the end.

Fidel smiled upon seeing the detail of the beast on the card.

The Shadow Hunter was a sinister-looking creature with a sleek and muscular body. It was covered in black fur with glowing red eyes, making it easily blend in with the shadows. Its body was elongated, with long arms and sharp claws, making it perfect for hunting and climbing. Its wings were like an owlʼs, allowing it to glide silently through the night sky.

Fidel was aware of the hunter group of races in the beast pantheon. He didnʼt know much about their status in the third dimension, but here, this group was one of the ruling races in the beast group.

Even in that group, the Shadow Hunters had their own standing, as only one other Hunter group was more powerful than them.

What made Fidel more surprised was characteristic of the Shadow Hunter. Stealth was an ability that every Shadow Hunter had since they were silent killers and mainly worked as assassins in the Sacred Dimension. But stealth as a passive ability was rare in the race.

There had been only three known cases of Shadow Hunters being born with stealth as their passive ability, so the beast in Fidelʼs hands was extremely rare.

Fidel then found himself in a difficult situation because if the Hunter group learned about the beast, they would do whatever it took to bring it into their camps. Even though the Draugr group was no weaker than the Hunter group of races, if not stronger, the Hunters had the support of the behemoth beast pantheon behind them.

Even though the demon pantheon, which stood on an equal footing with the pantheon of beasts, included Draugrs, the Demons were too divided to aid Draugrs.

”Should I raise it silently?” Draugr thought. But the next moment, he shook his head since all top races had devices to find their bloodlines due to their low fertility rate. If Shadow Hunter appeared in the Sacred Dimension, it wouldnʼt take long for the Hunters to sense their bloodline.

”Letʼs ask the store owner. He is intelligent,” Fidel mumbled and left the deviceʼs room with the card.

Aakesh was relaxing in his chair when he heard the sound of footsteps approaching him. He opened his eyes and turned in that direction.

”Aakesh, would the Hunters be able to sense its bloodline if I took it out?” Fidel asked directly, handing over the card to Aakesh.

Aakesh didnʼt immediately answer but first looked at the card. When he saw the passive stealth ability, he understood why Fidel was worried about the Hunters.

”Yes, they will be able to sense its bloodline since it is extremely pure,” Aakesh replied, as all the ultimate quality beasts in the store had extremely pure bloodlines.

A disappointed expression appeared on Fidelʼs face since he would now have to keep the possibility of racial war in mind while deciding to initiate the taming battle.

”Is there a way to mask its bloodline from others?” Fidel asked, hoping to get a positive answer.

”There is, but it will be detrimental to the beast. So I wouldnʼt allow that.”

Fidelʼs face showed joy when he heard the first part of the sentence, but when he listened to the next, his face turned gloomy.

”As for the issue with the Shadow Hunters, you donʼt have to worry about them taking the beast from you. When you sign the contract, one of the conditions is that it will always remain loyal to you unless you do something that could harm the beast,” Aakesh added since he could see why Fidel was struggling.

If Fidel were some nobody from the Draugr race, he wouldnʼt have cared about it, but he wasnʼt some nobody. His father was the head of the White Draugr, and he was the next in line for that position, so he needed to take the security of his race into consideration with every decision.

”But what if the Shadow Hunters force me to break the contract by using some dirty tactics?” Fidel asked. If the Shadow Hunters used the power of the Hunter group to send an emissary to ask for the beast, then what would Fidel do?
