The First Store System

Chapter 968: Gold and Black(1)

The Suleon in the card also had a single characteristic, like the Sky Serpent.

Suleon had a solar physique, and that was the reason behind it being stronger in the presence of the sun. Not only did his strength double, but his skill abilities also grew at the same rate. At the same time, it also allowed Suleon to be free of any negative effects that came from one sub-level higher cultivator or any item.

William was honestly impressed by the card. There was another reason for his excitement as well. Since the Suleon had nothing to do with top-level races in the Sacred Dimension, having it as a pet wouldnʼt be a problem anymore.

The Suleonʼs mother had long ascended with Asquith while her race had gone extinct in that war.

”Letʼs complete the purchase,” William smiled and told Elle.

Elle nodded and left the room with William. Even though the duo already had an Ultimate Store Card, they needed to request the store owner buy the beast first since only he could initiate the contract.

”Store owner, we want these.”

”Please, initiate the taming battle,” William said as he and Elle handed over the card to Aakesh.

Aakesh didnʼt have to guess who got what card, as the system was there to inform him, but since he had already seen the Suleon as the cause behind Williamʼs increase in strength, even the system didnʼt need to tell him.

Since Elle was the first to get the Sky Serpent, Aakesh tapped twice on the storefront pattern on the cardʼs back and then handed it to Elle.

Aakesh then repeated the process for William and handed the card to him.

As soon as Elle grabbed the card, she felt her surroundings changing, and the next moment, she appeared in a swamp with poisonous miasma spread across the sky.

Since the cultivatorʼs strength would match the cultivation of the beast, Elleʼs cultivation had been reduced to an early Divine Transformation level.

The Sky Serpent had cold eyes filled with brutality as it looked at Elle.

Hiss!

A hissing sound rang in the area as the Sky Serpent disappeared from its spot and appeared right above Elleʼs head.

Elleʼs face was calm as she easily dodged the bite that came her way. But before she could think of attacking, a tail came her way, aiming to strike her down.

The Sky Serpent wasnʼt stingy with its skills, as in less than a second, it had used two of them.

Elleʼs body reflexes and brain reaction had also reduced to match her cultivation, so she could only let the ”Venomous Tail” hit her.

The poisonous miasma was slowly spreading across every corner of the swamp. Since the Sky Serpent was immune to this level of poison, it battled Elle comfortably in its domain.

Elle wasnʼt with her weapons, but that didnʼt mean she was weak. If she were to be categorized in the ”beast” category, her quality would also be ultimate, so how could she let herself lose to another ultimate-quality beast?

Chhiss! Chhiss! Chhiss!

Elleʼs golden eyes suddenly began glowing like the sun in the dark as the poisonous miasma around her began to make noise.

The Sky Serpent wanted to come close to her and attack, but before it could, a bright object appeared in the sky.

The cover of poisonous miasma around the swamp and the sky disappeared as the presence of the sun was too much for it to bear. Elleʼs race wasnʼt called the Sun Elves for no reason.

The Sky Serpent felt extreme danger as it saw the sun in the sky falling down toward it.

Hiss!

The Sky Serpent roared in anger as it, instead of backing down, charged at it, activating the skill ”Sky Shield.”

Elle understood that this area was the serpentʼs playground, so she needed to end the battle quickly and not become overconfident. As her cultivation was only an early Divine Transformation, and cultivators below the True God level couldnʼt float in the sky, she couldnʼt follow the serpent, but that didnʼt mean she had no other ways to attack.

The Sky Serpent charging at the sun, suddenly stopped in its tracks as the bright object began to dim at an unprecedented rate. Before the serpent could understand what had happened, something hit it from behind.

”Solar Blaze” was a racial skill for the Sun Elves, and Elle used it to her benefit.

Thud!

The serpent crashed into the swamp. It still had some life left, but Elle didnʼt give it any time to stand as she released another skill and ended the life of the creature with an explosion.

The creature couldnʼt be any dead as Elle felt her surroundings changing, and soon she returned to the store.

A shocked expression appeared in her eyes as she found William stepping forward to take the card from Aakeshʼs hands.

The battle between her and the Sky Serpent didnʼt go on for hours, but it still lasted several minutes, and after appearing here, she felt there was no change in time at all, due to her knowledge of the element of time.

As William grabbed the card, he also found his surroundings changing. The next moment, he appeared in a vast grassland with the sun at its peak, and in front of him was the Suleon staring at him.

The Suleonʼs eyes were cold and held nothing but cruelty as it looked at William. Even William felt chilled by that expression.

In the presence of the sun, Suleonʼs strength and skill power doubled, but since William was also a Sun Elf, he also had some blessings from it.

Roar!

A roar rang in the area as the Suleon charged at William. It rushed in a straight line, confident in its strength.

William had seen the Suleonʼs strength with his own eyes, so he didnʼt underestimate the creature and got ready to defend and attack.

William moved his body to the right, but before he could attack, a claw came his way and struck his chest, creating deep gashes.

Williamʼs face turned pale as he was thrown back. Before he could even land, the Suleon appeared right above him and swiped its claw.

Willian had seen the strength, so he couldnʼt let it hit him again.
