The First Store System

Chapter 981: Difficulty!

The Gray Ettin still wasnʼt dead, but when it saw Bistrid still not on the ground like it, despite him having more severe injuries, it gave up and took its last breath, making Bistrid the victor.

The beasts fighting the customers were well aware of the outcome of the battle, and in order to avoid becoming someoneʼs pet, they fought until their last breath. Bistridʼs strength and resolve seemed to have won over the Ettin, so despite both of them being equally close to death, it gave up.

The next moment, Bistrid found himself back in the store, with not even a moment passing in the time he was inside.

Time flew by, and Bistrid finally got the card.

Since Bistrid wanted to check out the Ettin, he hurriedly left the store. Aakesh, on the other hand, was reeling with the alerts going on inside his head.

[Ding!]

[Host, congratulations on the fifth sale of the beasts in the Beast Summoning Device! The commission for the sale of the Gray Ettin has been transferred to you.]

[Host, please see the quest window for your new quest.]

The next moment, a blue window containing the details of the new quest appeared in front of him.

[Mission Objective: Sell Beasts,

Requirement: Host, the store has successfully sold five beasts to customers. Now, its time for you to increase your part and make more customers interested in the product,

Number of beasts you need to sell: 1000,

Time Limit: 360 Days

Mission reward: Twenty-five purer higher Sacred stones,

Failure Punishment: The sales commission will get reduced to 2.5% of the productʼs price for thirty years.]

Aakesh looked at the screen, showing him the first quest in the beastʼs sequence.

The questʼs content was similar to what it was for other first quests, but the difficulty here was clearly higher. Aakesh needed to sell one thousand beasts in 360 days, which didnʼt seem like a lot when there was already a collective quest requiring him to sell five thousand beasts in the same duration. But the issue was that it was only the first in the sequence, and with each completion, the requirements grew severalfold.

The reward for the quest was monetary, which Aakesh had expected since not every mission would allow him to increase the number of columns, so it wasnʼt that bad. As for the punishment, Aakesh only took a quick glance at it. Since there was already a collective quest with an even greater number of sales requirements, there was no point in thinking of a failure.

Aakesh then waved his hands, and soon after, the quest screen faded into disappearance.

Aakesh then closed his eyes, waiting for customers to enter his store. The spots inside Panagea were already full, so things for Panagea were going as well as they always had.

”Your majesty!” Ladriel knelt in front of Ayriel.

After learning about the store, Ayriel rushed here, and finally, she was in Thorr City.

”Where is the store?” Ayriel asked. Her voice seemed calm, but her eyes betrayed her.

***

”You have done good,” Ayriel said to the kneeling girl.

It was none other than Elasha. Now that Ayriel was here, the time for her to return to the store had finally arrived.

”Here are your hundred supreme sacred stones,” Ayriel said as she tossed a space ring at Elasha.

Elasha hurriedly caught the ring, a joyous expression in his eyes.

She clenched the ring and vowed to bring her husband back once again.

Ayriel didnʼt care about Elasha and began to learn things from Ladriel. Ladriel honestly shared everything she had learned from Elasha about the store in the Primal Dimension and what he had learned from the cityʼs inhabitants.

”Do you think he can help me?” Ayriel suddenly asked.

”Your majesty, you canʼt involve others in family issues. It would anger your mother,” Ladrielʼs face changed as she pleaded.

Ayriel couldnʼt help but laugh after hearing Ladriel. There was both anger and guilt mixed in that laugh. However, Ladriel said those things to ensure her safety, so Ayriel patted her on the shoulder and told her she was only thinking.

Ladriel heaved a sigh of relief, seeing that her master wasnʼt serious. The matter with Ayriel would either be the ending of the Moon Elves in the Sacred Dimension, or it could also be a new beginning, so if she brought any strangers to it, her end wouldnʼt be better.

”Letʼs go,” Ayriel ordered and then left in the direction told by Ladriel.

Elasha was only an early Divine Transformation, so it would take her hours to travel to the store. Since Ladriel had begun to like Elashaʼs character, she grabbed him and disappeared from the spot.

The next moment, she appeared outside the store with Ayriel already there.

Ayriel didnʼt immediately enter the store but stood there, unknown to everyone what thoughts were going on in her head at that time.

Ladriel didnʼt dare disturb Ayriel and stood silently. The same was the case for Elasha, as she was afraid of Ayriel.

Elasha had lived for millions of years in the Primal Dimension, so she had seen many personalities. Ayriel, despite having unbeatable strength over her, was still like a child in comparison to her age.

Whenever Elasha saw Ayriel, she would get the feeling of looking at a raging destroyer that wanted to bring everything to its ruin, and it always chilled her.

”Do you think he would do to me what that Dragon did to our ancestor?” Ayriel suddenly asked without looking back. There was no hint of reverence in Ayrielʼs voice like in other Elvish races.

Ladrielʼs face suddenly changed, looking ugly. The next moment, she clenched her head as an unbearable wave of pain began to attack her. A memory that was sealed inside her head ages ago was slowly coming out.

Even Elasha was taken aback by the tone of Ayriel. Her face became unfriendly as she clearly didnʼt like the tone in Ayrielʼs voice. If not for her minuscule strength in comparison, she would have attacked Ayriel.

Ayriel suddenly turned around and smiled at Elasha with a ridiculous smile, as if looking at a fool.

Ayriel was unaware that at that time, a pair of eyes were looking at her with inconceivable expressions.

A/N: I guess the time for some Dragonʼs action is near.
