The First Store System

Chapter 979: A New Function!

Around a few minutes after the system forced William and Elle out of Panage as their six-hour stay was over, it also forced Bistrid out.

Since the entry limit in the Gods & Demons level training area was one entry per week, William and Elle left the store, hoping the next day would arrive early.

Bistrid wanted to stay in Panagea for some more time as he was very close to completing his first quest, but unfortunately for him, the store owner refused.

Even though Bistridʼs stay in Panagea was over, it didnʼt mean he was going to leave the store. He wanted to check out the beasts sold by the store as well.

So, Bistrid found out some of the things he wanted to know about the product and then went to the room.

Card Description: The formidable Gray Ettin is a force to be reckoned with, with its sturdy build and massive muscles. This two-headed creature boasts a rock-hard defense, making it an excellent tank in battle. With this card, you can bring a powerful monster onto the battlefield. This monster can do a lot of damage and help the team. Use it wisely, and watch as your opponents fall before the power of the Gray Ettin.

Price: Forty-eight thousand higher Sacred stones.]

Bistrid read the beastʼs details on the card.

The Gray Ettin was a gigantic creature that had two heads. Its bulky muscles and thick hide gave it a formidable appearance. The two heads each had their own distinct characteristics. One on the card looked like a gentle soul, while the other looked like a raging maniac. Its fur was grayish in color, showing its formidable and weathered look.

Bistrid read the details curiously since it was the first time he had come across such a creature. He had learned about the qualities of the beasts from the store owner, so he looked surprised even for someone calm like him since the beats were of supreme quality.

Since Bistrid had chosen the random summoning system, the beast in his hands was an early Divine Being level creature.

Things looked jolly until his eyes reached the price section. He couldnʼt help but take a deep breath when he saw it.

The amount of 48 000 higher Sacred stones was too much for Bistrid. He didnʼt have that much money, even if he wanted to spend it.

Bistrid could ask his father, who was a Lesser God, for help, but for that, he would have to leave the store, and he didnʼt even know what would happen once the Voidborns found out about the store.

ʼWhat should I do?ʼ Bistrid had a calm personality, so he soon calmed down and began to ponder over the current situation.

It didnʼt take long for Bistrid to come to his decision, and he left the room with the card in his hands.

”Store owner, can you keep this? I am going to prepare the funds,” Bistrid had his usual cold face when he requested Aakesh.

”Are you going to sell something or ask for money from someone?” Aakesh, instead of staying silent as usual, suddenly asked.

After hearing Bistridʼs request, Aakesh suddenly had an idea.

”Sell,” Bistrid became confused, but he still answered.

At the same time, Aakesh was in conversation with Bistrid, he was also talking with the system.

”Hey, system, what do you think about adding a new function to our store cards?”

[Host, what are you thinking?]

”Why donʼt we add a pawn function to all three store cards?”

Aakesh thought of it as there were many customers who didnʼt have enough money but had items on their hands. If the store began to pawn its items, the customers would be freer to spend further, increasing the productʼs sales in the store.

[Host, the system canʼt create stones.]

”The store would restrict the money earned from items to only the store,” Aakesh replied since he had already thought of all the things he needed to worry about for the function.

[Host, the items bought by the system would get wasted, so it will be a loss-making function.]

”We wonʼt buy the item, but we will give a fixed amount of stones at a fixed interest rate,” Aakesh answered since neither he nor the system would have any use for the items sold by other customers.

The system wouldnʼt sell used items in the store, and Aakesh wouldnʼt use them.

[Okay, Host!]

The system accepted Aakeshʼs suggestion, and the next moment, every store card owner got an alert about it in their hands, irrespective of their location.

[Host, since you have suggested it, your commission for profits made from this function would be 50%.]

Aakesh nodded since he also needed money. The more he earned, the more purer stones he would have for meditation.

”If you want to pawn one or multiple items, you can also do it in the store,” Aakesh informed Bistrid.

Bistrid, who was about to hand over the beast card to Aakesh, suddenly stopped.

Bistrid had a valuable item with him that would grant him the remaining value for buying the Gray Ettin, so he decided to go for it.

Bistrid already had a place in mind, but now that the store owner informed him about the store also being one of those places, he immediately made the decision to do it here.

”The store wouldnʼt buy your item but would give you the loan you require with a fixed interest rate.”

”If you want to avail this feature, you will have to buy any of the three store cards available...” Aakesh then introduced all three store cards to Bistrid.

Bistrid didnʼt waste any time before coming to his decision of buying the store card since one higher Sacred stone wasnʼt that big of a sum.
