The First Store System

Chapter 188: Gordon

Gordon was an ordinary citizen of the Bisan Kingdom. He had to work two-third of the day, every day so that he and his family could have the lifestyle that any ordinary person deserves.

He was one of the many citizens of the Kingdom that couldnʼt attend the event. If he took three days off to attend an event, he would not only lose his monthʼs earnings, but also it would make a dent in his savings.

He worked in a training arena, where they trained children up to the Houtian level.

He himself was a Houtian cultivator. Yesterday, while sparring with another Houtian trainee, his sword got broken.

For a person who had to work daily to survive, it was a big setback. It would put a huge dent in his emergency savings since the weapons were usually expensive.

But since his livelihood depended upon this, he had no choice but to buy a weapon. He was already 40, so no one would hire him at this age.

The arena owner gave him a half-day off and also suggested to him Aakeshʼs store since he had watched the three-day events in the store.

Listening to his boss, Gordon came to Aakeshʼs store.

But when he arrived, he saw the doors of the store were still shut while a crowd was waiting outside the store.

He couldnʼt help but feel nervous since usually, such big stores charge an outrageous amount of money for even low-level products.

But Since his boss had suggested to him the store, he decided to check it out first. If he didnʼt find anything in his budget, then he would buy weapons from another store.

Gordon stood two steps away from everyone since he couldnʼt feel anything from others in the crowd.

It only meant that each person in the crowd had higher cultivation than him.

He stood there for a few minutes when the door of the store suddenly opened.

He couldnʼt help but feel dumbfounded when he heard the whispers of excitement after the door of the store opened.

It was the first time he saw someone happy before spending money.

He then tried to peek inside the store, but surprisingly he saw a wall blocking his view.

He then stopped peeking since everyone ahead of him had already entered the store. He also followed them inside.

A look of surprise appeared on his face when he saw that the store owner wasnʼt a human like them. It was the first time for him to see an alien store owner in a human-dominated area.

Seeing high-level cultivators greeting the store owner, he became more nervous since it meant that the store owner himself was a high-level being.

He finally understood why no one dared to trouble the store owner despite being of a different race.

He also didnʼt dare to look around the store and only focused on the thing he had arrived here for.

Only a few minutes had passed since he entered the store, and his mouth and eyes flew wide open, seeing the mythical supreme Primal stone from his own eyes.

As if it were a contagious virus, he saw seven supreme Primal stones in a span of a few seconds.

Time flew by, and finally, only he and two other customers were left.

They, like him, were waiting for the store owner to show the weapons.

The store owner then told them to follow him.

Gordon and the two other customers followed Aakesh to the weapon room.

His jaw almost dropped to the ground when he saw the luxuriant room.

There were 108 white pillars in the room. There were six circles of pillars, with the innermost circle containing eight pillars and the outermost circle containing 28 pillars.

On each pillar, the shape of the weapon was embedded, and a shelf was placed near each pillar.

The store owner then explained about the weapons to him and the other customers.

His heart couldnʼt help but become tense, seeing the luxury of the room. Since the luxurious the place, the more expensive the product costs.

But he couldnʼt stop himself from checking them out, so he proceeded in the direction of the saber pillar since he was a saber user.

There were six rows of weapons, and on the top of each row, the grade of weapon was written.

His eyes fell on a red saber on the fifth row. Since he only needed to pick up the weapon to see its details, he extended his hands to pick it up.

”Thud!”

His hands came to a sudden halt as he heard a crashing sound. He looked behind and saw one of the customers lying on the ground.

Right at that time, the store owner warned him and the other customers not to try to pick up weapons higher than their own level.

Gordon couldnʼt help but heave a sigh of relief since he was also going to be lying on the ground a moment later if he had picked up the weapon.

He was a Houtian level cultivator, and Houtian and Xiantian cultivators could only use rare-grade weapons, so he decided to only look at that row, and if he somehow found a suitable saber in his budget, he would buy it.

Gordon didnʼt think he would find any weapon in his budget in this store, but he just couldnʼt stop himself from checking them out, seeing the luxury.

From the outside, it looked as if there were limited weapons on the shelf, but when he pushed the glass to pick out a weapon, he felt as if there were unlimited weapons inside it.

He then picked out the first saber he came across and took it out.

The next moment, a blue virtual projection containing all the details of the saber appeared in his hands.

{Unnamed Saber

Weapon grade: Rare,

Details: A saber made out of magically strengthened steel,

Price: 250 inferior Primal stones.}

Gordon couldnʼt help but shake his head in disappointment, seeing the price of the saber. His budget was only 100 inferior Primal stones, so he put it down.

He then picked up another saber, and it also had the same price tag, so he again put it down.

Finally, after looking at tens of sabers, he found a saber that only cost 90 inferior Primal stones.

{Unnamed Saber

Weapon grade: Rare,

Details: A saber made out of magically strengthened iron,

Price: 90 inferior Primal stones.}

”Yes!” Gordon couldnʼt control himself and yelled in excitement, seeing a weapon in his budget.

The last saber he had was made up of natural strengthened iron, and he had bought it at the price of 100 inferior Primal stones, but here he got a magically strengthened iron saber for only 90 stones.

The difference between natural and magically strengthened iron was large, as the magically strengthened iron was the natural strengthened material that had gotten enchanted with Qi. So the energy flow in this kind of weapon was always better than naturally strengthened iron.

Gordon was only a Houtian level cultivator, so he couldnʼt use energy outside his body, but still, this saber would easily cut through natural strengthened iron.

After finding a suitable saber, he didnʼt wait and decided to buy it. He found the store owner checking out the bows, so he went toward him and told him his decision.

After paying the required amount for the saber, he left the store with a smile on his face.
