Chapter 168: Twenty Years

”Please, a skill!” Evelyn murmured as she looked nervously at the red egg in her hands.

She had just killed the leader of her third hunt in the white dungeon.

She took a deep breath, praying for skill as the reward, and crushed the red egg. The next moment, it faded into light while a treasure had appeared in her hands.

She nervously looked at the treasure in her hands and the next moment, ”Damn it, another sword!” she cursed, seeing a glowing sword in her hands.

Since the start of the event, she had grown accustomed to the bow, and in the last three white dungeons (including this one), she had only gotten a sword from the red egg.

She could start using a sword, but she didnʼt have enough time to start from the basic, she had already reached a high level, and she was here to win; learning was only second to her since the participants would forget everything they gained from the reward when they returned to the real world.

”Personal Status!” She murmured.

The next moment, a blue screen containing her details appeared in front of her.

Personal Status:

Name: Evelyn,

Race: Human,

Level: White(Medium),

Energy grade: White,

Health: 46,763/50,000,

Strength: 28,643,

Agility: 21,421,

Vitality: 25,000,

Weapon: Unnamed Bow(Blue Grade), Greenwood Armor set(Blue Grade)...

Skills: Agneyastra(Inferior), Shakteyastra(Inferior), Varuneyastra(Inferior)...

She nodded after looking at her status screen. Her strength had from 26,000 to 28,643, while her agility had gained more than 5,000 units this time.

Looking at the status screen, her dissatisfaction with the reward disappeared. ”Space Inventory,” She murmured after waving the status screen away.

The next moment, a tiny blue crack in the space appeared in front of her. She threw the sword she had just gotten as the reward into it, and the next moment, she got an alert inside her head, announcing the addition of the sword to her various weapons in the space inventory.

Only Evelyn could see her personal status inside the dungeon as it was her reward from one of the orange dungeons, and she also got space inventory in the same red egg.

The other participants threw away the rewards that werenʼt very useful for them or were very heavy since they couldnʼt carry them all the time in the battle. Evelyn didnʼt have to worry about it since she had infinite space to store things, so she didnʼt have to throw anything away and could use everything depending on their use in different situations.

The next moment, she thought of leaving the dungeon, and soon a suction force sucked her away.

Since her level was still white(Medium), she couldnʼt go to the black dungeon and face an unfair death. She chose a random direction where she was standing and proceeded to search for a new white dungeon.

Time flew by, and another four years passed. More than 20 years had passed since the event began inside the store and the portal, while only more than two hours have passed in reality.

Until now, no participant has been able to clear a black dungeon, which was unexpected for Aakesh as he expected the fastest clear to be around ten years. But, more than twenty years had passed, and not a single black dungeon had gotten cleared, let alone the gold dungeon, which was at least a thousand times difficult than the black to clear.

”Hey, system, whatʼs the level of the beings in the black dungeon?” Aakesh asked. He also continued watching the actions of the participants in his mind.

[Host, the regular beings would have power equivalent to Tao Palace, while the leader would have strength equal to the Heavenly Monarch.]

The system responded in its mechanical, emotionless voice.

”What about the leader of the gold dungeon?”

[Host, the leader of the gold dungeon, would be equivalent to the peak of Heavenly Monarch that could ascend anytime they wanted.]

Aakesh nodded after hearing about the cultivation level of the strongest being in the portal. The system also told him that if the leader were to be alive in the Primal dimension, there would be no other creature who could match them in power, so the challenge for the participants would only get toughest when they reached the gold dungeon.

He then stopped thinking about how long it would take to get the fastest clear since it would take a long time after hearing about the power levels of the beings in the black dungeon and watched what the participants were doing.

In the last several minutes, 2678 participants joined the event, taking the total number of participants participating in the last event of the three-day event to 290,272.

The current number of participants that were still in the race for the territories was 60,679, and around 80% of this group had reached the white dungeons, while the other 20% consisted of either the newcomers or those who were very slow in clearing dungeons.

The majority of the left participants were above or equal to Void Forging in the real world, proving their talent superior to the low-level even when they started new.

The participant that had cleared the most number of the dungeons was one of the participants that had arrived in the store for the first time after hearing the announcement of Puntaʼs father.

It was a peak Tao palace expert who had lived for billions of years in the real world. He had no hope for attaining divinity. Whenever a Tao Palace cultivator got a breakthrough and reached the level of Heavenly Monarch, their body would evolve to make the physique suitable for becoming a God one day.

The Tao uses the lifespan of the cultivator as an energy source to evolve the physique, so the cultivators who have lived for a very long time couldnʼt evolve in a fit state to accept divinity.

The participantʼs name was Geoffrey, and he was a male human, the king of the Wilson Kingdom neighbor to the Chivelle Kingdom.

He had no interest in coming here when he heard about the announcement. But when Geoffrey found out that his friend, the king of Chivelle Kingdom, was personally going, he also decided to see what was so special about the event.

He wasnʼt happy with the way his life was going despite being one of the strongest Tao Palace cultivators of the Primal dimension due to seeing a blockage in his way of cultivation. He knew he needed to become Heavenly Monarch first and then think about becoming a God, but knowing that he would never be able to attain divinity even stopped him from trying to become Heavenly Monarch.

He himself had founded the Wilson Kingdom and was also the sole Tao Palace cultivator in it. Still, his Kingdom was considered equivalent to the Chivelle Kingdom that had multiple Tao Palace cultivators just because of his power.

When he reached the store and learned about the rewards he expected another reward like the Tower to come since the strength of the Wilson Kingdom was also its weakness.

If something happened to him, the Kingdom he had founded after so much struggle would be lost with him if he didnʼt have other Tao Palace members in the family.

After learning the benefits of winning the territory in the Panagea, he decided to participate and maybe win the event and get the central territory.

When he entered, it took around a few days for him to accept the fact that he was only an ordinary being since he had been a Tao Palace cultivator for billions of years.

Since there wasnʼt any blockage in his power path here, he freely leveled up and cleared dungeons after dungeons.

He wasnʼt the first to clear any color dungeon, but his consistency at clearing them was one of the best of all participants.

His purpose in entering the event was to win any of the territories, but as time flew by, he forgot his purpose and cleared every dungeon he came across in his way.

The feeling of improvement made him forget his purpose since he was someone who had been stagnant at the same power level for billions of years.

In his intoxicating actions, he had cleared more than 5,000 dungeons during these twenty years. Out of which, three hundred were white dungeons.

He was one of the few participants who had reached the level of entering the black dungeon, but he had no interest in it since there were still tens of white dungeons left in his way to clear.
