The First Store System

Chapter 178: The Top Three(4)

While Erisʼs heart was sinking in fear, another participant was standing in front of the gold dungeon.

It was Robert. Like Eris, he had also arrived here for the second time.

When he had found the gold dungeon, the pressure he faced from the crack was so high that it had almost made him fall flat on the ground, but after using every inch of power, he was able to stop and leave without kneeling.

”Great!” He smilingly commented after he felt no pressure from the gold crack.

”Letʼs clear you and win the best territory,” He commented and poked the crack.

The next moment, he also cursed like Eris facing the torture. Unlike Eris, who had lived for countless years, Robert hadnʼt lived for long.

He only looked mature in his disguise, so he continuously cursed for several minutes, only to stop when the feeling of standing in the void hit him.

He also had the same epiphany that his opponent was the Void Beast, so his situation was also the same as Eris.

Rather than calm down, he grew more afraid of the Void Beast with each passing second.

”Damn it!” Eris couldnʼt help but curse as his face had turned white from fear.

Eris knew it was the doing of the dungeon since he wouldʼve been able to calm himself after this long, but since he only grew fearful, he understood that it was a status effect of entering the dungeon.

”Thereʼs no point in waiting here. I should find my opponent,” Eris mumbled as he made the decision to find the opponent instead of it finding him.

He ran for days straight, but neither the void seemed to end nor was he able to see anything.

”Hey, system, whyʼd you make the gold dungeon this way?” Aakesh confusingly asked the system inside his head.

If the system had simply prepared a one-on-one battle between the Void Beast and the participants, he wouldʼve gotten a winner until now.

[Host, the system only prepared the event equivalent to the reward they would get after winning.]

The system responded in its mechanical, emotionless voice. If Aakesh didnʼt know that the Yantra race had no emotions, he wouldʼve thought that the system was applauding itself for preparing for such a tough event.

”Letʼs hope Iʼm not the last,” Maria commented while looking at the endless crack in front of her.

Her countenance was the exact opposite of what she used to be. Having so many undead followers made her unafraid of death, and killing millions of creatures during the last fifty years, turned her into a cold, ruthless killer.

”Do you think I can clear this dungeon?” Maria suddenly spoke to the air while looking at the gold crack.

”My queen, nothing can stand in your way!”

The next moment, a hoarse voice filled with confidence emerged in the area, but the owner of the voice was nowhere to be seen.

No change in Mariaʼs expression appeared as she directly took a step into the portal.

The next moment, she felt herself in an endless empty space filled with darkness.

She also faced the same feeling of disintegration and regeneration countless times in less than a second, but it wasnʼt enough to make her utter a word, so she forgot it.

Then she focused on her surroundings.

”My queen, this is void,” The same hoarse voice rang in the area.

The next moment, in the space filled with darkness, something darker than the darkness emerged out of nowhere and took form.

Those who watched her last hunt in the black dungeon knew who the being enveloped in the darkness was.

It was the creature belonging to the strongest race of the Primal dimension, Hygar.

She hunted the strongest black dungeon the system had created in the event as her last hunt before the gold dungeon.

Since the dungeon wasnʼt a single creature, Maria was able to defeat the Hygars one by one using her millions of undead soldiers, which contained tens of leaders of the other black dungeon.

Using the combined effort of other leaders, she was able to defeat Hygars one by one, but the leader of the dungeon killed 99% of her army, including every single undead leader of the black dungeons.

But Maria didnʼt mind this loss as she got more than a hundred Hygars in her undead army, which was way stronger than her previous army.

The being that had appeared next to Maria was the leader of the Hygars she had killed and the strongest of her undead army.

Right after emerging, he closed his wings and knelt in front of his queen with all six of his heads touching the ground.

In comparison to Maria, the Hygar was many times larger in size. It almost looked like a giant mountain had been positioned near her.

”My queen, if Iʼm guessing right, our opponent may be the Void Beast,” The Hygar commented while still kneeling.

”Stand up, and what is this Void Beast?” Maria asked.

”My queen...”

”...of the void.”

The Hygar told everything about the Void Beast to his queen. Even though he had already died, there was still a hint of fear in his voice.

”Since this beast hadnʼt appeared until now, it means we have to find it,” Maria commented after hearing about the Void Beast without even a hint of fluctuation in her voice.

For someone like her who had risen out of nowhere, it didnʼt matter who her opponent was. Even if a Dragon were her opponent, she would still not be afraid of it and fight it.

After searching for the Void Beast for an unknown amount of time and still not fighting it, Maria grew tired of searching.

”Attack the space. Maybe the beast is hiding somewhere,” Maria coldly commented and ordered the Hygar.

The Hygar couldnʼt help but look at Maria in astonishment. ”A beast of the caliber of the Void Beast would hide from us?” He thought in his heart. If it were someone other than his queen, he wouldʼve scoffed, but since he was the servant, he had to follow the order of his master without thinking of anything.

The next moment, the Hygar opened all six of its mouths.

The energy started gathering into the shape of a ball. A few moments later, a six-colored energy ball appeared in the void.

It then made four such energy balls and threw them in each direction.

A/N: In the next two chapters, the event will end.

Aakesh would get a reward from the system since he had cleared the quest.

What do you think would be the new product?

Any reader who guesses it correctly would get to name a character/race.

Tomorrow will also be a mass release of eight-ten chapters. Thanks for all the GTs and supporting the book!
