Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Chapter 104: Chapter 88: The Undead Tribe is Not So Easily Provoked

Fran didn’t bother with the two boring individuals, merely stating, ”Tomorrow, just play it by ear and hand them over to the Undead Tribe.

With the Undead Tribe there, they won’t dare venture down.

They won’t have the guts to stay in your shop anyway; it looks exactly like a Magic Tower.

Once you have set up the Purification Array, just stay inside the shop and don’t go out.

If that Female Mage really dares to enter, just be polite to her.” He sneered coldly, ”If only you had come to me during your Mage phase, when you were seduced by despicable methods, I would have had to accept it.

Now, there are no drugs that can affect you, and I am not worried about mere seduction by a woman.”

Hill listened to this deeply hidden tone of hatred, knowing that something involving Melanie from those years, Carl’s student must have had a hand in it.

Now it seems, Carl is evidently a supporter of Edward, but he is after all a Legendary Mage; even if he has to lower his pride to pledge allegiance to William, who is short-handed, William wouldn’t refuse him.

However, it was Miller, who really hadn’t meddled in anything, just wanting to survive.

Hill knew that the one who helped the Kral Clan suppress Fran back then was the Legendary student who still resides in Obastian.

However, Fran didn’t show any hatred towards him, but he always avoided speaking to anyone related to Carl.

Otherwise, Carl wouldn’t have come forward directly to contact Fran, and Fran having Adrian talk to him didn’t show any signs of anger either.

It was obviously Hensley who negotiated on behalf of Miller.

Fran didn’t want Hill to focus on these matters, directly telling him, ”They only have these tricks up their sleeves; just ignore them. I am no longer someone who can be suppressed by a single Legendary figure, and they wouldn’t dare to be as overt as they were in the past.

But, don’t be impulsive, many things are just accidents, not their intention.”

”Don’t worry, grandfather.” Hill calmly replied, ”I won’t be impulsive.”

Hill understood Fran’s point; back in the day, Fran’s students had complex backgrounds. They wanted to inherit Fran’s true knowledge, naturally using all means available, but no one wanted a mutually destructive ending.

Due to misunderstandings, it has led to the current situation.

But, the idea of using a woman to bridge the relationship with Fran from Carl’s side was really distasteful.

Hill knew, with his emotionally impulsive mother, most people’s first reaction to him was that emotions could be used to control him.

Hill stood up, addressing the brooding Fran, ”Actually, grandfather, they’ve never met me, have they?

I am curious to see just how beautiful a woman must be, brazen enough to come and seduce me.”

Adrian chuckled quietly, ”You needn’t wonder; it’s because of her status, not her beauty.”

His laughter ceased, finally revealing a cold side, ”There are not many young Archmage women, only that direct descendant from the Carl family.

That’s their way of thinking; to compensate for the loss of a daughter in the Fran Family, they send another daughter their way.

This one is a very diligent Archmage compared to Melanie!

Having been too long in the court, she has completely forgotten the pursuit of a Mage.

His Highness Carl, no matter how much he struggles, to have a Divine Subordinate status is not bad.

After all, His Majesty the King seems to favor Hensley more.”

Fran interrupted the two’s discussion, ”As long as you are aware of this, it’s fine. Keep in touch more these days, I hope to be informed of any progress.”

”Yes, grandfather.’

After Fran ended the communication, List softly spoke, ”Sir, shall we summon the Elementals to the summoning point territory?”

”There’s no water here.” Hill calmly said, ”It’s probably all underground. My shop is on a hill, so it might be good to summon some Earth and Water Elementals.”

”You could also summon a couple of Wood Elementals to stay in your room, just to prevent any Toxins from entering,” List suggested.

”Indeed.” Hill sneered coldly, ”And release the Swordsman Puppets while you’re at it.”

He shook his head at the concerned Cohen, ”I’m fine; you go have fun. A lot of this just makes me feel uncomfortable, nauseous.

List, how is the construction of the town going?”

”Very well, the Elementals are quite fond of it. They’ve recently been asking me for blueprints suitable for Elemental habitation.”

Hill in exasperation, ”Just get a few different ones for them to choose from, there won’t be any decision by the time I get back.”

”Alright, sir.

The Treants are watching the Undead Tribe every day; they seem to be getting a sense of it.”

The Old Cat came to the Lord’s Mansion yesterday asking. I told him the lord has many pets who like to hide in corners and observe.”

He told me that Yun Che and Yeyu Qingyu’s area is looking better.

After the town is built, they made a pact, couples go to stay at Yun Che’s area, singles on the other side.”

’Like oil and water, not allowed to flaunt over at the singles; otherwise, they’re killed on the spot,’ they said.”

”Did many people come?” Hill asked quizzically.

”No, including those who just completed the territory settlement mission, just 10 people in total.”

Hill could only sigh, ”Let them be. If they want to fight, take it outside the town.

That’s all for today.”

”Alright, sir.”

Hill raised his hand and cut off the communication, looking to Srei, ”Activate the highest protection. Cancel the seating area on the first floor, fill it with shelves instead.

The second floor is no longer open; turn it into a lounge.

Move the familiar Undead up there.” He took out the Swordsman Puppet from his ring, ”Place it on the third floor, make sure its energy is always full.”

”Yes, sir.”

With no inclination to sleep, Hill sat by the window, watching the scenery all night long.
