Starting as a Mechanical Hunter

Chapter 374: Chapter 140: Tentacle Monster_2

”Flowing Blade Slayer Group, huh.”

A gleam of excitement flickered in Liu Dehua’s eyes as he turned around and shrugged off his suit, revealing at least six modifications to his upper body, along with that ferocious and sinister evil ghost tattoo. If it were an old group member, they would notice that the tattoo of the cyan-faced ghost holding a saw was very similar to the tattoo on their president.

That wasn’t just a tattoo, it was a mechanical pattern transformation!

...

And on a rooftop, a composed Scissorhand was leisurely admiring the human skin he had peeled off, until he was finally surrounded by a group of people.

”Oh my, what an adorable young lad. What’s happened to you? Want to play with an older sister?”

Four unusually voluptuous Geishas blocked his way, their eyes lit up at the sight of his delicate, almost girlish face.

Scissorhand slowly turned his head, under the artificial moonlight, revealing an extremely delicate face, licking his lips with a crimson tongue.

”Ugly women, get lost.”

The Geishas’ smiles gradually became terrifying, their bodies also began to transform: two meters, three meters, finally becoming four three-meter-tall muscle-bound monsters, their surfaces grotesque and terrifying, slowly approaching this ’short-haired girl.’

”Four Level 18 Biochemical Witches, a bit troublesome,” Scissorhand slowly extended his palm. His hand was peculiar; five fingers only half present, the other half were sharp little blades.

”But not particularly troublesome.”

...

”Damn, feels like I can’t hold on anymore!”

Gunfire, explosions, and that peculiar sound when electromagnetic weapons are fired.

As per the agreement, the Fire Starter was responsible for setting fires on the periphery to divert attention.

He managed to attract attention, but the problem was, he felt he couldn’t escape either.

Out of the flames crawled a terrifying figure, looking like a living zombie, cautiously looking around, burying its empty nose area in a corpse, inhaling corpse oil with force, quickly its blood volume started to rise. When it reached halfway, it slipped into a little alley, but soon the roar of engines could be heard.

”Damn, it’s those disgusting centaurs again!”

They were referred to as centaurs, but they were actually a Motorcycle Faction, only these members’ mechanical transformations had fused with the motorcycles, turning into horsepower monsters.

Sensing the temperature, the Fire Starter did not retreat but advanced, suddenly lunging forward, expectedly taking two hits, dropping his blood volume by another hundred points, and at the same time, his hands touched two A Knights from the Motorcycle Faction.

After crossing paths, a green flame ’whoosh’ burst out from both of them.

Relying on flames to create and spread fear was the Fire Starter’s specialty, however, behind him, two A Knights stood quietly in the darkness like Ghost Riders, allowing the flames to crazily burn.

”These Thought Steel Seal solidified monsters.”

The Fire Starter cursed, turned around, and slipped into an alley. Honestly, even higher-level NPCs than the A Knights were not unheard of being killed by him, as NPCs weren’t players; when burned by flames, they would fear and retreat, but not the A Knights who weren’t afraid of death at all.

As the engine roars got closer, the Fire Starter gave a sinister laugh and suddenly dashed to a spot where gasoline bombs were hidden, then, without hesitation, detonated the bombs.

The next moment, a furious flame shot up into the sky once more, blowing away half the street, taking with it the ten-plus A Knights chasing after him in one go, and the increased blood volume from leveling up allowed him to crawl back from the brink of death once again.

Yet this time, he had reached his limit, the Fire Starter smelled his own corpse oil, above the dark sky came one mechanical eyeliner after another, swooping in fast.

”Hehe, cuties, see you in three days.”

”Goodbye, who are you saying goodbye to?” Collider peeked out to ask.

In the Fire Starter’s vision, a super robot filled with red question marks appeared before him.

Terrifying! Suffocatingly terrifying!

That guy could absolutely finish him off in seconds!

...

Two figures descended from above the highest floor of the Twin Tower.

”From the looks of it now, the most likely target is the ’Speakerless’ inheritance, the little Black Box.”

As the two came out of invisibility, dozens of ancient-version mechanical eyeliners flew out from the darkness. These mechanical eyeliners were only Level 15, and most of the suffix read as ’damaged’,’pending repair’,or ’missing.’

Gao Gong’s eyes flashed with a golden light, and the next moment, these mechanical eyeliners seemed once again under someone’s control, retreating and dispersing.

”Let me build a model first,” Pupil said, once again initiating the neural modeling method.

Gao Gong nodded, expanded the Emperor’s Might once again, and the next moment, Pupil vaguely heard the sound of turret merging from the darkness in the east.

”Looks like the Mechanical Main Brain of this Sunless City is really no more,” Pupil frowned, watching someone continuously exhibit the Emperor’s Might, forcibly shutting down the weapon systems of these mechanical main brains.

”In general, these weapon systems are closed. Seems like we really came at a bad time.”

”Not necessarily,” Gao Gong suddenly said, ”Those players, uh, those little guys from the Evil Jade Clan wouldn’t do this for no reason. After all, there’s a difference between crazy and stupid, stupid people don’t grow to this level.”

”You’re saying they have someone backing them?” Pupil was taken aback.

”Yes, just don’t know who gave them the mission,” Gao Gong didn’t say that such a ’nightmare’-level mission absolutely wasn’t assigned by ordinary NPCs.

”Got it!”

The next moment, a Twin Tower scaled down by a hundred thousand times appeared in front of them.

”From the looks of it now, there are three most tightly guarded places: a power station on the negative first floor, a Legislator’s conference room on the 99th floor, and a conference hall on the 200th floor.”

”This is their defense force distribution map,” Pupil snapped his fingers, and instantly, various figures appeared on every floor of the Twin Tower, at least before a thousand were counted.

If the Evil Jade Clan had such a Neural Modeler to assist, the probability of completing the mission would at least increase by half.

”So many gang members, and basically all are elite,” Gao Gong stroked his chin. He did not think he couldn’t finish this task, given that it was classified as difficult+ and only a Level 1 Civilization’s difficult+.

In Gao Gong’s current state, probably only a ’nightmare’-level mission would cause him to concentrate a little more.

He was considering, since this city was more Gotham than Gotham, if he could make good use of this fact.

After all, to defeat the ’Human Completion Plan’, just killing people isn’t enough.

Cyber Test Field, only a test can defeat a test.

What would be good to create?

For instance, the legacy of that Speakerless?

”What are you thinking?” Seeing the mischievous smile on the other’s face, Pupil immediately realized that someone might be in trouble, thus asked alertly.

”Nothing, just getting to work.”

”What are you planning to do?”

”Of course, proceeding with the simplest method, first capturing these hundred-strong criminal legislators, after which, reads their memories, most secrets of this city basically won’t be secrets anymore.”

”Oh, by the way, you probably haven’t seen several of my transformations yet, don’t be tempted, okay?”

Gao Gong stepped on the railing and leaned his head back, disappearing into the darkness.

And on the neural modeled Twin Tower, long phantom tentacles reaching hundreds or even thousands of meters appeared, beginning to encircle the entire Twin Tower.

Meanwhile, Pupil’s neural modelling began to blur, and the surface produced a mass of mosaic, this was information overload causing model collapse.

”This tentacle monster is truly terrifying!”

And on the 99th floor, a place known as the sanctuary of Crime City, it was legendary that ninety percent of insider trades and interest exchanges in this city originated here.

A Legislator with a cigar dangling just completed an arms deal, opening a window, preparing to take a breath of fresh air, and then his pupils suddenly widened.

He saw a massive tentacle covering the entire windowpane.

He took a step back and blinked hard.

The tentacle was gone.
