Not Being a Trainer This Time

”Stop, you guys, don’t anger Giratina!”

Ash was taken aback.

The man glanced at the turning Giratina and then started running: ”This way!”

Ash and Dawn hurried after him, and with the help of the unique terrain, they successfully evaded Giratina’s pursuit.

”Anyone hurt?” the man asked, looking back.

Shaymin, relieved, took a deep breath: ”As long as I’m not eaten, I’m fine, that’s right.”

”Hmm?” The man noticed Shaymin and suddenly remembered the scene he saw earlier: ”Are you the Shaymin from that time?”

”Hmm? Who are you, that’s right?” Shaymin looked over surprised.

The man introduced himself: ”I’m Newton Graceland, researching this Reversed World, and even though it’s just self-proclaimed, I’m an unknown genius scholar!”

Ash: ”...self-proclaiming as a genius scholar.”

Dawn couldn’t help but whisper: ”Can someone actually say that...”

”What a weirdo, that’s right!” Shaymin commented.

”Hey, hey, that’s not how you treat your savior, right...?” Newton felt quite heartbroken.

Seeing this, Dawn finally realized and quickly bowed: ”Thank you for saving us, I’m Dawn!”

”I’m Ash! But that said, Mr. Newton, what exactly is going on here?” Ash asked.

”Well...it’s a long story.” Newton thought for a moment and asked: ”You all know what place this is, right?”

”It’s the Reversed World where Giratina resides!” Ash said, it’s documented on Giratina’s personal page!

”Correct!” Newton nodded: ”I’ve been desperately researching in this world for five years and discovered a lot about it!”

”Like what?” Ash asked eagerly.

”The Reversed World is another world tightly connected to the real world, warped in some places, with gravity altered in others, metaphorically speaking, it’s a ’Distortion World’! ”

”The two worlds are close yet never intersect, but only Giratina has the ability to traverse between the real world and the Reversed World, and it’s the only Pokemon that resides here, so you could say Giratina is the master of the Reversed World!” Newton’s voice was filled with excitement.

However, Shaymin appeared to be very frightened.

”I don’t like that guy, that’s right. Trying to eat me, that’s right...”

”Hmm?” Newton was somewhat surprised and then fell into thought: ”Why?”

But soon he realized now wasn’t the time to talk about this.

”By the way, do you guys want to leave here and return to the original world?” Newton asked.

Before Ash and Dawn could speak, Shaymin nodded: ”I want to go to the flower field, that’s right!”

”I see...” Newton glanced at his phone for the time: ”Then we don’t have time to lounge around!”

”Huh?” Ash was slightly stunned.

Newton turned around and started running: ”Anyway, let’s go!”

The two hurriedly followed him.

After passing through several distorted buildings, Ash suddenly noticed many deep purple haze on the road ahead.

”That thing is...” Ash couldn’t help reaching out his hand.

Seeing this, Newton shouted loudly to stop him: ”Don’t touch that!”

”Huh?” Ash was startled and quickly pulled back his hand.

”That stuff is poisonous; too much inhalation can be life-threatening!” Newton warned.

Upon hearing this, Pikachu beside Ash quickly fanned the haze away with its tail: ”Pika-Pika!”

”What’s going on, Mr. Newton?” Dawn asked.

Newton then began to explain:

”When the real world experiences distortions, this world where Giratina resides takes on the task of balancing space-time to prevent its destruction, and that’s when the haze appears in this world. ”

”Not long ago, there was a fusion of two dimensions, time and space, which should never meet, collided. Dialga, and Palkia, both felt their territories were invaded and started fighting.”

Upon hearing this, Ash immediately remembered something, he looked at Dawn beside him: ”That was...”

And Dawn understood his meaning: ”Alamos Town.”

Newton continued: ”At that moment, there were strong distortions in time and space, and the Reversed World was filled with that stuff.”

”Giratina was very angry at the pollution of its world by Dialga and Palkia and successfully captured Dialga appearing in the real world.”

”However, Dialga escaped using Shaymin’s Seed Flare and sealed the Reversed World with the Power of Time.”

At this point, Dawn understood everything.

”So that’s why Giratina is after Shaymin...”

”Giratina must be very angry,” Ash said.

Shaymin commented: ”Just gets angry, that’s right...”

Newton nodded and continued: ”Plus, Giratina is unable to enter the real world due to Dialga’s power.”

Shaymin angrily said: ”Too angry, so it got punished by the heavens, that’s right!”

Newton scratched his head and continued leading the way.

”Actually, this place is as big as the real world we live in. Giratina used to roam nearby, but for some reason, it left here for some years and only recently came back.”

Meanwhile, on the other side.

The Team Rocket trio was investigating the surroundings.

”We’ve come to a strange place,” Jessie said.

”It seems like there’s not a single person in this town.” James jumped down from a twisted building.

Meowth walked on the wall like Spider-Man: ”The top is the bottom, and the bottom is the top, Meow. What’s going on, Meow...”

Unable to figure things out and having lost the twerp and Pikachu, the trio all sighed in unison.

”What an annoying feeling, Meow.”

Suddenly, a massive shadow appeared behind them.

Meowth’s fur suddenly bristled, and it turned around cautiously, only to see a terrifying-looking, blood-red-eyed giant Pokemon.

”Ahhhh, it’s the Legendary Pokemon Giratina, Meow!”

The trio instantly freaked out and held each other tightly.

Giratina stared at them with its menacing gaze.

Cold sweat started to appear on the trio.

At this moment, Meowth suddenly recalled something.

It whispered to Jessie and James: ”They say, according to the internet, if you tell Giratina that you’re a fan after seeing it, it won’t hurt you, Meow!”

”Why didn’t you say that earlier!” Jessie was very annoyed.

But in the next second, she changed her expression and, along with James, smiled apologetically at Giratina, saying:

”Oh great Giratina, what a pleasure to meet you. We’re your loyal fans!”

”Indeed, we’ve followed you for a long time and like your posts every day!” James nodded.

”That’s right, Meow!”

Hearing these words, Giratina stared fixedly at them for a moment.

Just as the trio thought their lie would be uncovered, they saw Giratina give up on attacking them and twist its large body to fly away.
