Not Being a Trainer This Time

Urshifu paused slightly upon hearing Naoki’s name. It immediately wanted to leave this place and return to the pasture to find Naoki.

”Wha?” (Naoki needs help?)

Kyogre: ”That’s right, he told me he’s encountered a powerful adversary and needs our strength to contend with it.”

Hearing this, Urshifu nodded calmly and coolly: ”Wha.” (I understand.)

Next, it planned to visit Master Groudon before returning to the pasture to find Naoki.

Urshifu bid farewell to Kyogre, then took the World Tree elevator to the Land of Earth.

Soon, Urshifu met its master, Groudon.

Groudon seemed very surprised to see Urshifu, but as soon as their gazes met, the two simultaneously assumed a battle stance.

An intense battle unfolded immediately!

In an instant, the ground cracked, Precipice Blades rose into the sky, and Urshifu’s burly frame looked nimble rather than cumbersome.

It swiftly moved among Groudon’s Precipice Blades, its fists clenched, surrounded by a mighty stream of Water Energy.

Urshifu struck fiercely, sending a water-formed fist smashing into the Precipice Blades.

”Boom!”

The loud explosion echoed through the world.

This noise startled the Moltres in the nearby volcano.

As soon as it flew out, it saw a series of continuous explosions on the ground in the distance.

Moments later, Urshifu’s form broke through Groudon’s Precipice Blades to face it directly.

The turbulent water flow enveloped Urshifu’s fist.

Groudon squinted slightly, its pupils emitting a golden light.

It swung its claws, clashing fiercely with Urshifu’s Jet Punch.

Tremendous energy intertwined and collided, resulting in a significant explosion.

The shockwave from this energy pushed Urshifu back dozens of meters.

Yet Groudon remained firmly in place, looking at its beloved disciple with satisfaction.

Well done! Big progress!

Urshifu immediately stopped its offense, walked up to Groudon, and said:

”Wha!” (I have to leave the World Tree now and won’t be able to come here for training anymore!)

Groudon asked: ”What’s the matter?”

Urshifu replied: ”Wha.” (Naoki encountered some issues. He just sought help from Master Kyogre, and I, along with Master Kyogre, will go to assist him.)

Groudon: ”?”

Seeing this, Urshifu was slightly startled and asked in confusion: ”Wha?” (You didn’t receive the invitation?)

”Kyogre agreed, next is Ho-oh.” Naoki closed the chat with Kyogre and opened Ho-oh’s chat.

Although Ho-oh’s fire attacks are ineffective against Arceus, with Ho-oh and its Holy Ash, injured Pokémon can recover their strength indefinitely.

Thinking this, Naoki sent a message to Ho-oh.

[Wing King: Are you on the World Tree now?]

[Ho-oh: Just got back. What’s up, Naoki?]

[Wing King: The thing is, I need your help with something.]

Naoki needs help?

Ho-oh, who was on the World Tree listening to Jirachi’s stories, paused slightly.

It and Jirachi listened to the content recited by Phone Rotom.

Palkia, the legendary Pokémon called Arceus, is about to awaken, planning to destroy humanity and the world. To stop it, manpower is needed.

Hearing this, Ho-oh narrowed its eyes.

Having spent time among humans, it didn’t wish to see humanity’s demise.

Rather than that, it wanted to see Pokémon and humans live together in harmony.

Moreover, Naoki is the human it favors, the admired Rainbow Hero, so Ho-oh agreed to help without hesitation.

Compared to Ho-oh, Jirachi noticed something else.

Naoki needed help, lots of it!

It was going to tell everyone about this so they could all help Naoki!

Jirachi flew to the Explorer Team Guild and met Milotic along the way.

Milotic asked what was going on, why was it in such a hurry.

So Jirachi shared the phone conversation it had just heard.

This news spread from one to ten, from ten to a hundred.

Milotic told Tropius: ”Naoki needs many Pokémon to help!”

Tropius turned to Charizard: ”Naoki and other humans are fighting, and everyone needs to help!”

Charizard told Meowth and Pikachu: ”Oh no! Naoki is going to war with other humans, lots of Pokémon are needed!”

Soon, every Pokémon on the World Tree knew Naoki was going to war with other humans.

Some battle-savvy Pokémon geared up and began expedited training, ready to assist when Naoki called them.

Other Pokémon, less adept at fighting, went to ask Great Sage Slowking, the Stone Man, what they could do to help Naoki in this matter.

Slowking, with wise eyes, looked up at the sky as if in thought.

After a long while, it provided an answer.

”War not only requires Pokémon’s strength but also consumes vast resources. Things like stamina-restoring Berries, status-healing medicines—if adequately prepared, can greatly aid the Pokémon battling on the front lines.”

Upon hearing this, the non-combat, production-oriented Pokémon suddenly understood.

So that’s it, they understood!

Since they couldn’t fight for Naoki, they’d help prepare the necessary battle supplies!

Soon, the Explorer Team Guild Pokémon were in full preparation mode.

They dispatched members to pick Berries from the Berry Garden and harvest crops from the fields. Tatsugiri Sushi Shop made plenty of sushi, Tropius offered its banana fruits, and even the Alcremie at the dessert shop produced lots of sweet cream.

These Berries, sushi, and banana fruits were transported back to the granary by Rhyhorn to be stored, ready for provisioning Naoki.

For a time, the entire Explorer Team Guild was in full preparation mode.

Mewtwo, seeing this scene, was confused, as it knew Naoki wasn’t the type to casually start a war, right?

So Mewtwo found Ho-oh and learned everything from it.

Recalling the rumor at the Explorer Team Guild about other humans declaring war on Naoki, Mewtwo fell into silence.

”...”

Meanwhile, an unaware Naoki received a video call from Groudon.

But at that moment, Professor Oak at the Abundant Shrine, seeing Naoki hadn’t returned for a while, came looking for him.

Naoki promptly ended Groudon’s call, switching his phone to vibrate.

”You’re here?” Professor Oak, upon seeing Naoki’s action, smiled and said, ”Chatting with your girlfriend?”

Naoki came up with a random excuse: ”No, a customer at the store was inquiring about deliveries, and I was replying to them.”

”I see! No wonder!” Professor Oak’s face showed realization.

The two walked back together, and Professor Oak, thinking of Naoki’s little shop, was quite curious.

”By the way, your little shop is quite popular! I’ve seen people from many areas asking you to open delivery routes there.”

Naoki thought for a moment and said with a smile, ”Maybe it’s because it’s the first time they’ve seen Dragonite as a delivery Pokémon?”

”Indeed, since Dragonite is such a rare Pokémon in the wild!” Professor Oak nodded.

The two laughed and talked as they returned to the main group.

Throughout the process, Naoki’s Rotom Phone kept vibrating.
