Not Being a Trainer This Time

Chapter 494: Chapter 288: The Legendary Pokemon—Calyrex and Arceus

Calyrex understood: ”I see!”

”Besides the Creator God, there are many, many Pokémon in this world that humans call gods, like the Earth God Groudon, the Sea God Kyogre, the Time God Dialga, and the God of Space Palkia.” Naoki explained one by one.

After listening, Calyrex felt like his worldview had completely changed: ”I never thought this world could be so vast! There’s so much I didn’t know.”

”Indeed!” Naoki nodded.

If he weren’t a transmigrator, without a god’s perspective, he would probably have felt the same as Calyrex did the first time he heard all this.

As for why he transmigrated...

It might be to meet these Pokémon!

Thinking of this, Naoki bid farewell to Calyrex, and the first glance he took when pushing open the door of the Glass Greenhouse, he saw Cyclizar and Koraidon guarding the grass in front of the entrance.

These two Pokémon are sometimes surprisingly in sync about certain things!

Perhaps he came to this world just to meet Cyclizar and Koraidon.

Naoki smiled, reaching out to pat Cyclizar and Koraidon’s heads and said to them:

”Alright, let’s go home. I want to start developing new culinary dishes!”

”Gyaoo~”

”Aga-screech~”

Cyclizar and Koraidon made happy growls, following Naoki with pitter-pattering footsteps towards home.

Naoki returned to the living room and went straight to the kitchen. He opened the fridge, checking the ingredients inside, preparing to see which dishes could be enhanced with the Friendship Berry.

The issues on the hillside had been resolved, and now he needed to get busy with his own tasks.

Spring had arrived, and the fields in the pasture needed to be cultivated again.

Although the profitability of livestock farming in the ranch was higher, the fields still needed to be planted for those ordinary crops that mutated into magical fruits and vegetables.

Moreover, he and the Pokémon at the ranch could also eat them.

Thinking of this, Naoki already had a target in mind for enhancement with the Friendship Berry.

That would be the A-Class culinary dish, Green Grass Cake.

After Grass Type Pokémon eat this cake, when they use Grass Type Energy to cultivate crops, there is an extremely small chance that the crops will mutate.

For example, the previously mentioned size-variable pumpkins and glowing pineapples.

”With the enhancement from the Friendship Berry, the grade of the Green Grass Cake should reach A+ class, which should increase the chance of crop mutation a bit.”

Thinking of this, Naoki couldn’t help but feel a bit regretful.

Unfortunately, the Friendship Berry cannot be used for continuous enhancement, or else he could have directly enhanced the Green Grass Cake to S-Class.

Compared to A-Class, every S-Class cooking effect experiences a qualitative leap.

At this point, Naoki suddenly thought of the Black Truffle he found on the hillside last year.

That item doesn’t inherently provide benefits, but it can significantly boost the effect of a dish.

”If I make Green Grass Cake using both the Friendship Berry and Black Truffle, will the two enhancements stack?”

”I wonder if any Black Truffle shot up when Calyrex made the plants on the hillside grow instantly before.”

In retrospect, it would be worthwhile to take a stroll on the hilltop and ask the Greedent living there; they might provide some help, Naoki mused.

If Greedent can’t help, he would have to consider raising a few Lechonk and Oinkologne on the ranch.

This Pokémon’s sense of smell is extremely sharp, perfect for searching for truffles in the mountains.
