Not Being a Trainer This Time

Chapter 469: Chapter 278: Mew and the World Tree

”Miu?”

”What’s wrong?” Naoki was slightly surprised.

Mew had already turned around and flown over to that area.

Naoki and Teddiursa looked in the direction it was flying and saw a sapling with green leaves sprouting on the snow-covered land.

That is... the World Tree!

Mew seemed very curious about the World Tree, circling around it and making sounds of wonder and excitement.

”Miu!”

”What?” Teddiursa looked confused at this scene.

Naoki was also slightly surprised. This Heroic Mew seemed to really like that World Tree?

Naoki’s mind was stirred, thinking of Mew and the World Tree in the movie ”Lucario and the Mystery of Mew”.

Perhaps in places unknown to him, there is some connection between Mew and the World Tree?

”Miu!”

At this point, Mew gave a joyful call.

Naoki ran forward with Teddiursa, and Mew looked at them, happily saying, ”Miu!”

Teddiursa widened its eyes in disbelief: ”What?”

Naoki couldn’t understand at all and quickly asked Koraidon to bring him some Translation Nuts Cake as fast as possible.

”Aga-sigh...” Koraidon complied reluctantly.

Soon, the Translation Nuts Cake was delivered, and Naoki ate a piece, hearing Mew say to Teddiursa:

”Miu!” (There’s abundant life energy in the tree! I like it here!)

However, Teddiursa couldn’t sense it. It looked confusedly at the sapling, mumbling, ”What...” (What kind of tree is this...)

Mew shook its head: ”Miu.” (I don’t know either.)

But it could sense the tree had abundant life energy, which is great for them and very suitable for living!

Seeing that Mew also didn’t know what tree this was, Teddiursa looked at Naoki: ”What?” (Does Naoki know what kind of tree this is?)

Mew also looked over, expecting his answer.

Naoki could only reply, ”This is the World Tree.”

”Miu?” (World Tree?)

Mew had never heard of this name.

Indeed... not all Mew have a connection with the World Tree, it seems this Mew was attracted by the World Tree probably because, like Calyrex, it sensed the life energy contained in the tree, Naoki thought.

”That’s right, the World Tree.” Naoki continued, ”It will take a long time to grow, it will grow very large, larger than the entire ranch, then all of you can live on it.”

Hearing this, Mew and Teddiursa’s eyes instantly lit up.

Mew thought to itself, it must use Secret Power to build the Heroic Expedition Team’s secret base here in the future!

Teddiursa said happily, ”What what!” (Then we can invite Zapdos over as a guest!)

Mew: ”Miu!” (Exactly!)

Naoki raised his eyebrows, a bit surprised: ”Zapdos?”

Teddiursa nodded: ”What what!” (It was the Zapdos we met at the power plant! Zapdos told us living at the power plant, humans often come to disturb it and attack it with Pokemon, it finds this troublesome, saying it would be nice if there was a place without such disturbances.)

Listening to this, Naoki’s heart was stirred: ”Of course, you can invite it over as a guest!”

Teddiursa was very happy about Naoki willing to let their newfound friends visit the ranch.

Naoki smiled and said, ”However, you’ll have to wait until the World Tree grows, it will take about four years, when the house becomes big, if you make good friends during your journey, you can invite them to live in the World Tree.”

Like Zapdos, Farfetch’d, and other Pokemon.

The World Tree is very large, with vast areas inside, able to accommodate many Pokemon.

If you could gather Pokemon like collecting a Pokedex to live in the World Tree, enriching its ecology, the thought alone is exciting!

Upon hearing this, Teddiursa and Mew’s eyes brightened.

”What!” (Naoki is so great!)

Naoki continued smiling.

”Aga-sigh...”

Off to the side, Koraidon looked a bit speechless.

Naoki’s plans were so loud, it could practically hear them.
