Not Being a Trainer This Time

Chapter 488: Chapter 286: Miracle Revealed, Life Abounds!

This answer is affirmative.

Naoki looked at Geeta, and said to her helplessly, ”To be honest, we originally planned to restore this area today. Since the League has also chosen today, let’s just do it together!”

Together...

Without needing an explanation, Geeta understood the meaning.

She looked at the young man in front of her, saw his determined expression, and after a brief thought, she quickly responded:

”That’s indeed something to look forward to!”

To quickly restore the Pokémon ecosystem of this place, the Paldea League dispatched many staff members to plant trees here.

Most of these people were forest rangers. No one understands planting trees better than them, and with the assistance of many Pokémon, the ecological restoration work was completed ahead of schedule before nightfall.

The head ranger brought his Pokémon to report the work to Geeta.

After listening, Geeta nodded, then turned her gaze toward Naoki and the mysterious Pokémon known as Calyrex beside him.

”Next, I’ll leave it to you,” she entrusted with the authority of Paldea League’s chief.

Naoki turned his gaze to Calyrex: ”I’m counting on you, Calyrex.”

Calyrex nodded slightly: ”Leave it to me!”

As the words fell, it slowly floated forward.

At this moment, the forest rangers who had worked all day were gradually returning, planning what to eat for dinner, when they saw a luminous Pokémon with a large head floating into the sky.

”That Pokémon is?!”

”It-It’s flying!”

”What’s it going to do?”

On the other side, Miss Joy and Miss Jenny were also looking up at the sky.

Miss Joy was somewhat worried: ”Can Calyrex really do it?”

Miss Jenny said nothing, her eyes hinting at anticipation.

Gradually, Calyrex rose above the forest.

Time unknowingly reached dusk, and under the beautiful sunset, Calyrex gently gazed at this land, its people, and Pokémon.

It could feel that its presence was spreading across this unfamiliar land, with streams of warm energy coming from afar, flowing into its body.

This energy came from people who knew its name.

Additionally, it sensed an emotion called expectation.

Pokémon rescued by Naoki were hopeful, hoping their home could be rebuilt.

Then...

”As you wish,” Calyrex said softly.

The next second, it waved its right hand.

A surge of rich and vibrant energy burst forth from it, then merged into the ground below.

Instantly, the entire land glowed with blue light.

The light rapidly spread into the distance, eventually enveloping the entire barren hillside.

At this moment, Calyrex’s energy reached its peak, and the whole hillside erupted in a brilliant light.

Amongst the light, people and Pokémon were looking around in disbelief, gazing at the scene around them.

At some point, a cry of surprise emerged from the crowd.

”Flowers...flowers are blooming!”

His voice seemed to open some kind of floodgate, and the next second, the ground was awash in vibrant green light.

Grass sprouted visibly, transforming into a sea of green that quickly covered the hills and valleys.

The saplings planted by people also underwent rapid transformations.

From a tender young seedling, each grew into a towering tree with thick trunks and lush branches. Together, these trees formed a verdant, life-filled forest, with some trees bearing large, plump berries on their branches.

Witnessing such a miracle, everyone was speechless.

Someone murmured, ”Oh my! What kind of power is this?!”

”The trees grew in an instant. Was it that Pokémon who did it?”

”What kind of Pokémon is that? It’s amazing!”

Until a voice filled with excitement and awe rang out: ”A miracle! This is a miracle!”

Hearing this voice, Geeta was instantly awakened as if from a dream.

Even as Paldea’s chief champion, her face was filled with shock.

”There truly exists such a Pokémon in this world... truly worthy of the title ’The King of Bountiful Harvests’!”

Miss Joy and Miss Jenny were also visibly moved.

Joy: ”This great power, Calyrex is incredible!”

Miss Jenny did not speak, but she felt a premonition that one day, the name of The King of Bountiful Harvests would spread throughout the entire Paldea Region, with everyone placing its statue in their homes!

Not only people, but the Pokémon who witnessed all this were also deeply moved.

They stood dazed, watching the scene.

Their home was back...

Seeing this familiar place after an unfamiliar spectacle, some Pokémon couldn’t help but shed tears.

Their home was finally back!

No one knows how long it took for the light that enveloped the hillside to gradually transform into starlight and dissipate.

Beneath the light was a completely renewed forest.

The tree trunks were thick, their dark green canopies intertwined, and the setting sun cast mottled light and shadows on the grass through the gaps in the canopy.

In the fertile grass, countless small white flowers bloomed, all showing a vibrant scene.

Looking around, the whole forest was lush and green, with no trace of the fierce disaster it had once gone through.

Calyrex slowly floated back to Naoki’s side, nodding to him gently.

”Thank you for your hard work!” Naoki said, and then turned his gaze toward the excited and tearful Greedents: ”Alright, the promise to you has been fulfilled. Now enjoy your new life!”

”Squeak, squeak!”

The Greedent, coming back to its senses, quickly wiped its tears with its small paws and then jumped into Naoki’s arms in front of everyone.

The rest of the Pokémon saved by Naoki also gathered around, each in their way expressing their gratitude to him.

Seeing this, Naoki smiled slightly and patted each of their heads: ”I can feel your gratitude, but there’s someone even more deserving of your thanks!”

Upon hearing this, the group of Pokémon looked back at Calyrex and quickly ran to its side, expressing their gratitude to it.

Calyrex looked at these children with kind eyes.

Naoki stood up and took a deep breath, feeling accomplished.

This matter was finally finished!

At this moment, Geeta walked forward, her eyes on Calyrex and the Pokémon rescued by Naoki, murmuring:

”I never thought such a Pokémon would exist in this world...”

Naoki nodded gently: ”Indeed!”

Geeta, still a bit shaken and in awe, suddenly recalled what Miss Joy had previously mentioned — that Calyrex is the God of Agriculture, capable of blessing humans who believe in it with bountiful crops.

Thinking of this, a thought briefly stirred within Geeta.

If... just if.

If everyone in the Paldea Region were to believe in this Pokémon, would the land beneath their feet become even more bountiful?
